V-foil must stand for "velocity foiling." Despite being beautiful to look at, these irons have no performance in them whatsoever. If you want to mindf*** someone, send them as a gift and the guy will think he must have AIDS. There's a reason these frauds are being dumped for less than $250.00 on rockbottomgolf.com. My story: I play early '80s Powerbilt blades with generic OEM TT shafts. On ebay, I bought the 1025M 7-iron with DGS300, 1/2" longer than mine. Over two days, I hit about 50 shots with this club on the course. Bottom line: it's a 7-iron with the trajectory of a 4-iron and the distance of a 9-iron. I hit the ball on the center of the clubface just about anytime I want, and even when you hit this club on the "sweespot," the ball simply goes nowhere. The guy who said these clubs have an amazing amount of technology built in was right, but not in the way he imagined. It's amazing to chip a 7-iron from 30 yards off the green and not have to worry about passing the pin. But with the club, it's a cinch. These clubs alone could save the USGA the trouble of growing any rough for the Open. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Staff FG-51, Hagen Crenshaw Grind, Apex radial. |

I purchased these slightly used on Ebay- they had been customized at the factory 3* up and 1/2" long and have Dynamic Gold Lite X100 shafts. Switching from major game improvement irons (XL2000 top flites) I was worried I would have problems with these forged blades. Not so. They are wonderfully solid and precise and more forgiving then you would imagine for a blade. I hit the 4 and 5 irons better with these than I did with my large cavity back irons. Don't know why, just know I really like them and have dropped from about a 6 to a 3 handicap this summer while playing them. BTW, they also hold up very well for a forged club. These irons are butter. Classic Macgregor blade look from the late 60's. Most of my rounds are in the low 80's and occasional high 70's. I'm 5'9' tall, so these standard length/loft club fits me perfect. The clubs are are gorgeous and hit nicely if you are a good ball striker. At setup the top line is thin and has a very nice asthetic appeal. With the longer irons, at set up you can see the double muscle back which is very comforting and assuring, They mean business :-). Sweet spot is about the size of a quarter. Ball flight is high and penatrating just like my Mizuno MP14. It's very easy to get the ball airborne, although I'm currently trying lower my ball flight with my irons. My 7iron=155 yd, 5 iron=175yd. I was a little skeptical about VFOIL, but these clubs has very nice weigh and feel and I was able to feel my club head throughout the swing. I now believe that VFOIL technology is not some gimmick marketing crap. It really works! The balance and feel of the clubs are what I like about these irons. They seem to allow me to make my takeaway and backswing better which I think is an essential part of the golf swing. I feel that these clubs will make me a better player and take me to the next level. Hopefully, I can shoot more rounds in the 70's Customer Service Never experienced Similar Products Used: Spalding Tour Edition blade (Remember Greg Norman?), Mizuno MP14 |

I love these blades. I have owned 2 sets of them now. Very forgiving for a blade. I have also found the distance to be quite good. Customer Service Ordered them from Brian Meyer at BHM Golf in Chicago. I traded in a set of V-Foils and some old Hogans. After a year I still have not received my $420 trade-in credit I was promised!!!! I am left with no other choice than to take legal action. I heard for over a year the check was in the mail crap. I will never use him again. Similar Products Used: MacGregor PMB, PCB, Blade Golf TF-2's(Great club) |

I've really only begun to become serious about golf over the past two years. I started off using an oversized set of "improvement" irons, the Top Flite XL 2000s. They were great for really starting to learn the game, but were simply too inconsistent to take my game to the next level (hopefully the 70s). Enter these MacGregors: AMAZING!! Consistent, crisp, and - in my opinion - quite forgiving. You can work the ball like no other irons I have ever hit, and I hit quite a few while looking for a new set. Granted, I think you need to be a pretty good ball striker to even think about playing them, but if you are (or are really dedicated to becoming one) than these are the sticks for you... simply outstanding clubs without the ridiculous/overpriced hype. (However, I did not like the original MacGregor grips, but after getting some Winns put on, I'm in heaven!!). Customer Service No idea, but others seem to have had troubles. Fist off, let me just say that my score comes from a lack of good wood play. These irons are for everyone. Ive never hit a better set of irons in my life. the feel is so soft and the ball just rockets in the air. Any one with a good desending blow will soon realize that these irons are a great mix of feel and playability. I picked up a set of custom grinds on eBay and could not be happier! Its so easy to hit the high cuts and fades i was looking for. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Callaway x-16 |

These clubs are very accurate and have great workability. The 2-4 irons are easier to hit than any set of irons I have ever used. The trajectory can be a little high especially against the wind but that is due more to the shaft I am using than the club heads. I should be using extra-stiff instead of stiff. If you mis-hit the ball don't expect to get the same degree of forgiveness as perimeter weighted clubs. If you hit it near the center then these clubs are magical! Using blades is how golf is meant to be played. If you are looking for some world class blades then look no further than MacGregor 1025M's. They are fantastic clubs! Customer Service Not used.
