Cobra King Cobra SS Stainless Steel Forged Irons

Cobra King Cobra SS Stainless Steel Forged Irons

DESCRIPTION

Greater workability. Better feel. Forgiveness. Cobra''''s new forged irons promote all three thanks to an oversized cavity back and muscle arch behind the hitting zone. Great forged iron feel w/o compromising distance and forgiveness.

I loved my x-14's (and played the original berthas before that), but was looking to go with a little less offset and move to a forged club. I *love* these clubs. Got Cobra to throw in Rifles, and they bent them to my specs. These clubs are buttery. They feel great and are rather responsive. The cambered sole is great for knockdowns - you won't drive too far into the turf. If you miss the center, you're going to lose distance and go right, but that's true of any forged club. I did notice that compared to similar clubs (690cb, pro ii, hogans), the Cobras do particularly well on THIN hits. bottom line, if you hit the center of the club with any consistency, don't buy a new set without trying these

I got these after trading in a set of TA3's (great sticks, but couldn't hit the long irons too well). First, the feel is truely first class and the look inspires confidence. Second, while I couldn't hit the TA3 3 iron, I can hit th Cobra 3 AND 2 irons with confidence. The comparison is valid, since both sets use the same shafts. Third, the new sole design works to create a forgiving, workable, and still precise iron set. I love the looks of the set, but they seem to be built in a small run, since no shaft options exist on the Forged sets (DG S300). To top it off, I got a great deal on the set from my local shop. They are combination of attributes, rather than a blend of forgiveness and shot making. A complete Forged Cavity iron solution for any mid-low-scratch golfer!!

These clubs are advertised as "players clubs", but with a cavity/muscle back design. These are the most forgiving clubs I have ever hit, with the added benefit of forged. Although I love my Cleveland TA5's, these will be in my bag for a long time. Distance are similar, but Cobra's seems to fit immediately.

I have played or tried most of the current sticks available and can honestly say that these clubs are incredible. I was a little bit skeptical the first time on the driving range, but after the first nine holes I knew I had found a set that would be in my bag for a long time. These irons combine moderate forgiveness, great workability, a very soft feel and sweet looks. I highly recommend these irons to anyone who shoots in the mid eighties or better. The other plus was that I got them slightly used for a great price.

I purchased these clubs after demoing several other forged cavity backs. They are the more forgiving than the v-foils and the sole does not dig into the turf like my Kzg's do. they are slightly larger and the feel is very good considering the large cavity back. One word of warning:these clubs are hard to adjust the lies on.suprisng for a forged club.
