I love these clubs and they make me hit the ball very well. The only club that doesn't go well when you hit the ball is the 3 iron. But when you hit the sweet spot, boy does it go great. I would recomend it to anyone that can swing farely hard, and love sticking it on the green. Oh, yeah I am 14 and I can hit them awesome, so they work for kids.

Model Reviewed: Cobra II forged w/rifle shafts

My first ever cavity back irons. I played forged blades, Wilson Staff, Orlimar for years. Great clubs, almost as workable as blade. Quite forgiving. Strong players should avoid Hump steel shaft, way too low kick means VERY high flight. Cobra was great, reshafted w/o charge. I paid shipping to them, my shop or Cobra paid return. Turn around was less than 3 weeks! Great ball flight and feel w/rifle 6.9's. Wonderfully playable from tight lies, rough, sand. I still use my Orlimar pitching wedge and 2 iron but am very impressed. Not having bought a set of irons in several years, the $800+ price tag was rather shocking. After almost a year in my bag I'd still buy'em. BTW: I had my local clubmaker chech the CPM of the installed rifle shafts...every single one was 6.9 exactly! Nice job Cobra.

I've had my Cobra's about 3 years. Prior set was Mizuno. I've found that the Cobra's are longer and straighter. Much easier to hit then the Muzuno irons I had. In fact, I think I'm ready for a new set of Cobras if only I can figure out how to convince the Mrs.!!!

I've had these irons for 2 months now and ever since then i've had only one game over 78. I can't rip it off the blocks the best, but my awesome Cobra II's keep me dropping the ball by the stick. So I recommend these irons to anyone who wants to improve their game. *and i've never tried the new Gravity Backs, but i'm sure them irons are just as good or even better*

I've played these over a year now. I only played once a year or so until summer of '98. I bought a set of MacGregor and sliced all over the damn place. I demoed X-12s because my friend loved them. I didn't like them at all. I sliced the X12s all over the place and had bone-jarring hits that stung my hands and arms. I then demoed the Cobras and loved them. I didn't slice the irons except the 3 and 4 and the woods went straight. I think it was the offset that helped. I now get the ball in the air and usually hit in the mid 90's. I've even starting to draw the ball now and hit rounds of 80, 82, and 84 already (on an easy muni course though). These clubs plus lessons have really helped my game. I'm considering a switch to Ping ISI-S now just to try a custom fitted club. I have no problems switching back to my Cobras if the Pings don't work out because I love them and I've dialed them in really well. I think I love the feel the most and the ability to get the ball high and straight and bad shots correct or go straight too. KCIIs are expensive and you can get similar feel from knock-offs, but if you want the real deal, spend the dough and don't look back.

I recently had my Gravity Backs stolen and replaced them with these. Find a used set of KCIIs and forget buying the gravity backs. Forgiving and Long. These irons are right on target.

These are great irons for anyone looking to improve their game. They are very forgiving and hit the ball straight time and time again. The only downfall to these clubs is it is hard to work them. Hitting draws are very easily done but fade are near impossible. Overall a good club.
