I have been playing these irons for about a year and I play great with them. I demo'ed as many irons as I could and the 3100's just beat out the Taylormade RAC OS (have less feel). The main reason why these irons are dear to my heart is that these irons let you know when you didn't hit the shot pure but are still quite forgiving on mis-hits. This Blending of feel and forgiveness is perfect mid level hacker.

I've been playing with an old set of Titleist DCI's (Yellow Triangle) for about 5 years. The irons felt very dead to me, and I figured that technology was such that buying a new set of irons would probably do wonders for my game! I had a few different iron sets in mind, mostly in the $600 - $1,200 range. However, after hitting some very expensive irons, the employee at Golfsmith told me to try a Cobra 3100 I/H 6-iron. I had never felt anything so soft and solid in my life! The club was lightweight, and almost every shot, no matter where in the clubface I made contact, had that spongy sweet spot feeling. I also tried the Ben Hogan BH-5 irons which felt great, too. Both were about $100 to $150 less than any other iron in which I was initially interested. I decided to go with the Cobras because they were more of a "Game Improvement" iron, and my game needs some serious improving! I received these irons about a week ago as a Christmas present, and have been to the range twice. So far, I've had a difficult time getting down to the ball. I plan on having the irons custom fit to me, but I think my thin contact is probably due to the fact that the heads on these irons are so much bigger than my DCI's and I'm afraid to chunk every shot. I have two rounds scheduled over the next three days, so I'll write another review after those rounds.

These irons are great. I tested callaway 18s, big berthas, and cobra 3100s. The cobras are easy to hit and just as long as the callaways. They are extremely workable and very solid. The construction of the clubs is perfect. They are not a easy on the eye are the callaways but are several hundred cheaper and are very similar in performance. Always test irons before you buy them.

I bought these clubs back in June of this season. I wanted to get my old new clubs reshafted but decided to trade them in on a new set because the cost was about the same. I hit the Cobras, Adams Idea's, Cleveland * Taylor Made clubs and I found the Cobras felt more comfortable. My old clubs that I got over the winter were Nickent 3DX set & I got a deal on ebay on them. They were great but I wanted to get rid of the Graphite shafts and go back to steel. They seemd like great clubs though, I just could not slow my swing down enough I guess and sprayed them a lot. Back to the Cobras. After I played a few rounds with them I settled right in and felt really comfortable with them. The ball flies nice and high & a little longer than my old set. They set up nice and feel like an old pair of shoes (molded for me) They were a touch on the expensive side though.

Went to buy Mizuno MP-32, after a demo day, At the shop, was told I had to order a set. Salesman asked if I had tried the new Cobra irons. He said they were as good as any iron and $300.00 less than the MP-32's. I had 90 days to try them and exchange them for any other brand if I was not satisfied. Took them to a grass hitting range. After an hour, I knew these were for me. Great ball flight, consistent yardages with each iron, good dispersion, nice feel (even hitting range balls) and miss hits acceptable. All and all, a consistent piece of equipment. The true test came at the courses I played in the following weeks. Wonderful. A joy to swing, listen to and watch a well struck ball in flight. You know that feeling when you hit it pure. Effortless. I'm a weekend hacker, with not alot of spare time to practice. So, when it comes to picking up a club, with the anticipation of playing a fun round, it's nice to know you can depend on your equipment I've been playing golf for over 20 years, all brands with limited satisfaction. I'm not hung up anymore by their names and claims. I can tell you that these irons are fun and reliable to play. Do yourself a favor if you're in the market for a new set of sticks. Give these a try. I did and I am pleased with the results, so far.

I demo this club here at a local course and i tell you this is butter!!! I have tried every single company there is from wilson, ping, callaway( x-18 is good too, taylormade etc and nothing compares to cobra 3100 ih. If you are looking for a set that will improve your game and grow into this is the one. This is a great set of irons. It is very forgiving. Love the feel and the look of it. I can't wait to get my new 3100 i/h. I have customed to standard length, with 1.5 degree upright regular steel shaft. YOU GOTTA DEMO THIS BABY!!!!!!!!

I've always hit my mid to long irons a bit flat making it difficult to hold my approach shots on the green. Decided to visit my local driving range/pro shop to try some Ping g2 and Macgregor V foils as the reviews all made comments regarding the high flight. While I was waiting the pro handed me a Cobra 3100i/h 6 iron to warm up with while he got the other clubs together. The first shot with the demo Cobra was perfect, as good as anything I had ever hit. I carried on warming up, shot after shot flew straight and landed softly just over the 150 yard flag. By the time the pro came back wheeling the Ping demo cart I was hooked and within half an hour had been custom fitted with the Cobra 3100's (regular graphite shafts & 2 degrees upright). The very best bit was that as I ordered 9 irons, the pro told me about a Cobra promotion and that I would get a free matching gap wedge and Cobra Aussie series putter. Anyway I have used the Cobra's for 5 rounds now. I can honestly say that they have transformed my game, right from the 3 iron, which I could never use with my Callaway X16's, to the sand wedge. The yardage difference between all clubs is very consistent, they all fly on a highish, boring trajectory with a soft landing and are at least one club longer than my Callaways. These are my 1st irons with graphite shafts and whether its a characteristic of graphite or not, the clubs feel more balanced causing me to swing more quickly and smoothly through the ball. It just feels right. Equally the feel off the face is much softer than my Callaways. I know there are golfers out there who would never consider putting anything other than Taylor Made, Callaway, Titlist or Mizuno in their bags, but if your scores are more important to you than the brand name on your kit I strongly urge any mid handicapper to try them out.

Delivery from custom fitting was 3 days, including the free gap wedge and putter.

I took only a few practice swings with these irons before I got them, because they had such a great feel. They are very forgiving, and you can feel a good shot when you swing, without you lifting up your head. I highly recommend these clubs for a decent golfer that would like to take his game to the next level without paying a fortune to do it.

I traded in a set of Ping IST-K Copper for my current set of Cobra 3100's. I lost on average about 5-8 yards per club from what I have noticed so far (been to the range several times and played 72 holes since I bought them). On the plus side, I can place the ball it seems whereever I want. Very forgiving and offer a nice feel for the ball. I have a natural fade (Im right handed)and it plays nice with these clubs. Not sure why I chose the 3100's over the 3400's. I thought initially I made a bad choice after reading more reviews stating the 3400's were for the higher handicapper but I am very pleased and glad I made the choice that I did. The way I look at it, I will continue to grow into them and improve. My season goal in to finally make it into the mid 80's.

I hit these in a simulator before buying a set. The stock graphite shaft is a 70g shaft made for Cobra by Aldila, and the stock steel shaft is a high launch 103g Nippon shaft. Both are great shafts, but I went with the Nippon steel shafts based on the simulator stats and also the feel. Very forgiving, very good feel. I don't know if the feel is a function of the insert in the cavity, or if it is the Nippon shaft. Whatever the reason, these feel great. I have had elbow pain after playing other sets with certain steel shafts, yet have had none after hitting these. A larger iron than what I have played in the past, but not so large that I can't get used to looking at these at address. I know that the lofts are very strong in Cobra irons, but even factoring that in these are very long irons. They are a tremendous value at $449 and $549 for the steel and graphite shaft, respectively. They can be had on ebay new for even less than that. That is the pro's, and I have yet to come up with any con's on these irons.
