Love these irons! I played yesterday and shot a personal best 79. The most important factor in my round? Iron play. I hit 15/18 greens. These clubs have a sensational feel and off center shots are not horrible. They are exceptionally long compared to Titleist, TaylorMade, Ping, and Nike. Although I will never switch irons again, I recommend you try Callaway x-16 steelhead's. The TA7's and x-16's are pretty much the same distance and feel. Why wait another second? Get the Cleveland TA7 irons and play better golf!

Customer Service

The staff at Golfsmith is great. Very helpful, not annoying, and very knowledgable. They explained the pros and cons of every club they carried and helped me make an informed decision.

Nice set of irons. First time I have purchased new irons for myself..usually purchased friends old set or received hand me downs. The irons are very nice to swing and seem pretty forgiving. Now it is up to the person swinging (me) to improve since these clubs will take me as far as I want to go. I have hit some great shots with these and am extremely happy with the purchase. There is not vibration when I totally chunk it. The clubs seem to set up nicely to the target and well hit balls fly high and on target. The mis hit balls usually come out OK with the penalty not being to severe. It was down to these and the TM RAC OS, these just felt better to me. I also picked up a 56 and 60 degree wedge. I suggest giving them a try when you are demoing new clubs.

I was a happy Ping I-3 user with no intention of buying new irons. On a whim, I hit some TA-7’s during a Cleveland Demo Day at Golfsmith. To my surprise, I found them more forgiving than my Pings. I alternated hitting the Pings and TA-7’s and there was no comparison. They had me try different shafts and fitted me on the spot. I ended up with standard length, stiff Release shaft adjusted 1 degree upright. The TA-7’s are a very forgiving club. Poor hits still go relatively straight and with good distance. The Release shaft produces a high straight ball flight. I went from a slight draw to a straight ball, but didn’t lose any distance. The long irons are easy to hit and long. The mid irons are butter. The short irons have a strong loft, so be prepared to get a gap wedge to fill the hole between the 45 degree PW and your SW. The clubs have a classic look. The micro-cavities are hidden at address. They have a relatively modest topline and havea brilliant chrome shine. I wasn’t crazy about the stock Cleveland Golf Pride grip, but they are growing on me. The sensicore shaft soften poor hits. These clubs have inspired total confidence in my iron play. I’m actually using the long irons off the tee when I need a pinpoint 210 yard shot – something I’d never dream of doing with my previous irons. I’ve gained so much confidence in my iron play, the majority of my practice time is now spent on the short game – which I’m sure will have the biggest impact on lowering my handicap. I’m not talented enough to work the ball or comment on feel. But for someone who’s looking for consistency and forgiveness from all of their irons (every PW is easy to hit), I couldn’t image a better set of clubs. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend attending a Cleveland Demo when the Cleveland Van is available. Not only do you get a custom fitting, but they adjust the clubs onsite. My only regret is not buying the Dual (gap) wedge onsite. If you bought the Dual Wedge, they threw in a 588 Sand Wedge for free. I ended up buying a TA5 Dual wedge two weeks later.

Demo guys were great. Low pressure, took time to properly fit clubs.

This is the first time i ever bought a Cleveland product; and i was truly impressed. Used the irons yesterday for the first time and shot a 75. Shots were straight all day; and i was also able to shape a few with good command. The feel is also real nice with the stock sensicore shafts w/ good feedback. I would highly recommend especially since they are priced much lower than alot of the newer clubs out there.

Customer Service

Excellent. Had the irons sent back to change the lie 2 degrees flat. They were back in my hands within 10 days.

These irons are for anyone who wants instant feedback when the ball is struck. They are very easy to hit and bad hits are dampened enough so it does not give you "tennis elbo". The standard shaft supplied is True Temper Release with Sensicore which is good for me since I tend to hit a low ball. If you hit it high they can supply TT Dynamic Gold or Rifle shafts. The PW thru 6 iron are one degree stronger than normal so you will hit them further. Chipping with the PW or 9 iron is a pleasure compared to the X14's I had previously. The TA7's are easier to setup square to the target. The set has progressive offset which helps you to square the clug face on longer irons as needed. If your handicap is 3 or less you may want to buy the TA7 tour model.

Customer Service

Suggets you buy them when they have a demo day near you. It's worth the extra you may pay. They fit the clubs to me, (Lie, loft, lengh, grip size etc.) and had several choices of grips. Built them for me in 45 minutes.

Nice set of clubs. I had Titleist 990's before and these are noticeable better for a non-scratch golfer. Compared to the 990's I've found: - clubs go higher (sensicore vs DG S300) - clubs are straighter (harder to draw/fade) - clubs are much more forgiving (missed shots are still reasonable) - clubs are longer due to stronger lofts - chipping is lively off the face of the club All in all, I would highly recommend them to the golfer in the 5+ handicap range. I realized that the 990's were too hard to hit. The TA7 helped me hit 12/18 greens the first round I played for my low round of the year. Check your ego at the door and get irons that truely will improve your scores. I did and couldn't be happier.

Customer Service

Good. I custom ordered the set 1 degree flat. The clubs were here in less then a week.

I had a set of callaway x-14 pros which were great, but unfortunately they were stolen. I replaced them with taylormade 360s which were average at best...too much offset, too little feel, and short. I finally got fed up and got the ta-7s with the dynamic gold shafts. What a difference!! With the progressive minimal offset, the setup gave much confidence. It took a couple large buckets of balls at the range to finally figure out how to hit them, but now I am hitting the ball straighter and more consistently. I did not find the clubs to be short at all. I am a club longer than the taylormades easily...7 iron was 150 with TMs and about 160 with the clevelands. I have tried the sensicore shafts too, and they deadened the feeling way too much. Finding a set with the dynamic gold shafts is worth the effort. Finally, the true test of whether or not the clubs were a great buy was with the 3 iron - my nemesis. Hit them for the first time today and never hit them more solid. Other clubs tested that seemed excellent were the titleist 692s and callyaway x-16s. I was disappointed with the ping I3+s and the hogan edge cfts (these were the ones that I originally wanted to buy).

Although I wasn't looking for a new set of clubs, my curiosity got to the best of me when I read the review of the club in the latest Club Test by Golf Magazine. I went a Cleveland Demo day and was impressed by the crisp feel of the clubs and lack of harsh feedback. I wound up getting a custom fitting and bought them along with the dual and sand wedges as part of a promotional offer. Since then I have played several rounds with these clubs and have not been disappointed. Poor results on any shots have been the result of my poor swing. Mis-hits don't go as far astray as they did with my EVO V31's and the penalty on distance is acceptable. This is probably due to the fairly large sweetspot. On well struck balls I haven't seen much difference in the long irons from my previous set; however, the short irons are easily 15 yards or more longer. This is undoubtedly due to the very strong lofts in the short irons. The biggest problem I've found with these clubs is adjusting to the additional distance I'm getting from my wedges, which isn't a particularly bad thing. At address the clubs just naturally sit square to the target line. Although I prefer the look of a thin topline and smaller head, I'm not bothered by the TA7's thicker topline and slightly larger head. The single white scoring line also makes it easier to align the clubface. Overall, the TA7's are excellent clubs for the mid to high handicapper, providing good feel, forgiveness and promoting confidence during address.

Customer Service

The service I received from the Demo Van was exceptional. They fitted me made custom alterations in about 2 hours.
