After hitting 103-110 every round for the past 6 years I finally gave in...I'll never improve my game using a Titleist DCI 990 s300. So I went into the market looking for a game improving irons with a graphite shaft. Decided went to the basic and go from there....after comparing TM RAC models, MIzuno Mx-23, Tileist 804, ping i3, and TA7 no doubt i chose TA7. One factor is also because It was the cheapest and "softest" irons amongts the lot. Traded my 990 for TA7 graphite. I must say golf have never been so fun eversince. Easier to hit TA7 boosted my confidence and will to improve my game. Within 4 months,I went down to 16 handicap, my worst round is 93 and been consistenly shooting 86-88. Maybe someday I'll go back to musclebacked blades. I would recommend TA7 for those looking to improve their game. Less offset, blund and thinner base with medium top line. Microcavity tech is great in getting ball flights. Similar Products Used: Titleist DCI 990 |

From the very first shot I hit with the TA7s, I was in love. These clubs Helped me hit the ball farther and straighter. I usually hit a fade with my irons, but when I need to hit a draw, I hook the crap out of it. These irons helped me to work the ball I don't know how many times better. With these irons, I hit the ball dead straight. They might put a little dent in your wallet, but they are worth it. Another reviewer commented that these are supposed to be for 0-10 handicaps. I am a 21 handicap, and love them. Similar Products Used: TA6 (Nice, not as good as TA7) TA2 (Nice, not as good as TA6) Launcher (Still OK, not as good as TAs) |

unbelievable irons. had all intentions on titleist when i went on my demo spree. i spent about 2 months researching web reviews and reading equipment forums. i had my choice narrowed to three sets; titleist, mizuno, macgregor. i drove 65 miles to the nearest Edwin Watts with those three in mind. never even thought about a set of clevelands. EW had just about every company's iron you could imagine so i decided to try my swing with all of them. the TA 7s were very solid and the trajectory seemed to be lower than usual. being from the sound and playing strong winds 90% of the time, this was a plus. the only negative was the sensicore shaft. it felt too light, however, the salesman called cleveland and they offer the TA 7s with dynamic gold shafts.perfect. on the course: these irons are amazing. from the distance to the control to the workability, there isn't much that these irons can't do. i have always played a draw and was just screwed if the shot called for a fade. these irons fixed that. it's nice to be able to hit a hard low hook on one hole(into the wind) and turn around and hit a high soft fade(with the wind) on the next. go demo them for your self! ps. i have always been skeptical to believing some of the things that people say in these reviews, but believe me when i say this, "these clubs are the s#*t" also, some expert review sites say that these clubs are for 0 - 10 handicappers. well, my buddy has an index of, let's just say it's way up there, and he loves these irons. Customer Service Cleveland customer service is great as far as i'm concerned. they had no problem sending me a set when i ask to upgrade the shafts to dynamic golds. Sweet irons. Took me a while to get used to because of the extra offset. But I absolutely love these after playing a season with them. Extra distance, solid feeling. I can actually hit my long irons now thanks to these. Customer Service Haven't needed it Similar Products Used: Mizuno MP33, Titliest 762 |

i really like these clubs. a couple things i like about them are the weight. cleveland removed some weight from the top of club head and transfered it to the bottom which helps get the ball in the air a little easier and it made me aware of where the club was at certain positions. i also liked the forgiveness and workability. i was able to work the ball from left to right or left to right easily and when i mis hit it, it still went relatively far. i was also happy with how sweet it felt to hit one on the screws. it's pretty nice. maybe not nice as the taylormade rac lts, but it was still nice and pure. i am also very pleased with the improvement in my accuracy, distance, and overall scores have improved. i have had these clubs for 3 days and have used them 3 times. the first day i went out and shot a great round of 77. the third day i shot another 77 and hit 11 greens in regulation that were all within 20 feet of pin. i was disappointed i only made one birdie putt (on the 18th) but i figured i wouldn't have made so many pars if i hadn't hit the greens. my distance has improved atleast a club on most shots. i used to have some fake callaway x-16s. i thought they were nice, but i hadn't tried out the real stuff. i was totally impressed. i used to hit my 7 iron 160. now i hit it 170-175 (i still haven't gotten the distances dialed in). i love these clubs and i would probably recommend them to a handicap 18 or below. they're awesome. all right let me begin I love these clubs. I grew up p;aying king cobras and I thought I would try a litle more playbale club and I went with tommy armor evo's blade which suck. I have read some reviews over the ta7's and some people complain about the ta7 playability. I can hit a draw when I want to with these clubs and I do find it some what hard to hit an arcurate cut with these irons but you can still hit a cut if you open your stance a little. the thing I like the most about these clubs is consinstency. I had problems with my long irons when I was hitting the evo's now I cant wait to hit my long irons with the ta7's. If your thinking about going to a more playable set of irons check your eago and think about your game. I konw a lot of people my self included who thought their game was good (mid to low 80's) who have tried a blade style club and ended up going back to a progressive offset club a year of two later. the ta7 are a great set of irons and I would sugest them to anyone who is looking for a consintancy in thier iron play. I have had my TA7's for just a tad over a year now so I can give them an honest review and not just say they're awesome, great, etc. becuase I had two weeks of success. The TA7's are the best iron I have ever hit so far. They have a soft buttery feel when you hit it solid. They are very forgiving. These irons also allow you to work the ball very nicely despite the progressive offset on these clubs. The long irons are very easy to hit and all the clubs, especially the 3-6 irons, deliver a nice and high trajectory. I replaced my pitching wedge, but that's only becuase I like forged wedges. These irons really are an all abilty club. They are great for the low handicapper and even better for the mid-high handicap. I highly recommend them. I have had these clubs for just less than one year now and have had the good fortune to take them to hawaii, san antonio, and florida in addition to my wisconsin golfing. I have been golfing for over 30 yrs and decided after about 10 yrs with my 845's w/graphite shaft it was time for new equipment. While playing in scottsdale with a guy with some ta-7's I decided to look at those. The local store had a demo day and I hit all the usual suspects, ping, titleist, mizuno, taylor made, nike, etc.....I kept returning to the cleveland tent and decided to get fitted for a set of ta-7 tours. I cant emphasize strongly enough the benefits of custom fitting. The cleveland rep had me go 1/2" longer and 2 degrees upright (I am 6'2") and the big thing was he had me go with stiff shafts instead of regular. He watched me hit balls for a bit and said the stiff shafts would work better with my swing. I got the clubs last june after a 4 week wait and could not be happier. I have cut 3 strokes off my handicap (from 15 to 12) and been hitting much more consistent iron shots. This last weekend I got my first hole in one of my life, so maybe I am biased right now, but not only does the ball go straighter with these irons, but they are 1/2-1 club longer than my 845's. Made the ace on 161 yd hole into slight breeze with a 7iron....I have never been partiuclarily long hitter and would have certainly hit a 6 before......Try the ta 7's with the offset and then try the ta-7 tours with little offset....they noth set up beautifully and the look, lines, and smaller clubhead inspire confidence..For my money cleveland has made a great club here, maybe theat is why you are seeing so many cleveland hats on sudays on the pga these days. since 2000 i'd played TM supersteels, graphite regular flex. i first demoed the TA7s when they came out, but waited a while to purchase them. i finally broke down and was fit by a local pro for some TA7's. my game had improved to the point i was ready for stiff shafts, and i had already decided to go with steel shafts. with my older set i was hooking too often and shots were spraying all over the place. i noticed immediately that the shot dispersal was much tighter with the TA7s, i.e. mis-hits were not as far off-line. i could "feel" where the ball hit the clubface better than my TM's. i also noticed about 8 yds further with each club compared to my previous set. the long irons are much easier to hit, and the distance between clubs holds up better, unlike the TM's. i also tried the TA7 Tours but the regular TA7 were better for me. the only negative is the stock grips are a little too firm for my taste, so i will likely change them soon.
