After trying several iron sets, I think that the feel of the TA5s is excellent. The clubs are a great value are a great set whether you are just starting out, or you are a seasoned pro. Customer Service Shitty. Customer service with Cleveland is a problem however. I bought the irons when they first announce that they were available. I must have received a bad set or something, because the 6 iron became loose at the hosel and the 5 iron shaft sheared in half inside the grip. I sent the clubs back to where I bought them, and they were good about it. However, Cleveland's "excellent quality control" managed to fix the 6 iron but not the 5 iron which was evidently more screwed up. I was not confident to continue playing and wanted a replacement set because I liked the irons so much. I did not get it and I am now waiting during the second round circus for them to send me a new 5 iron so I can send the shitty one back. Cleveland TA-5 Gunmetal
Wow, these irons are da shit! I have been playing Callaway X-14s until I bought these and let me tell you this. I just realized how ridiculously priced the X-14s are and the quality of it isn't all that. My new TA-5 are MUCH BETTER quality!!! I mean, what's up with that stupid little donut at the tip of the club head on the X14s!! Compare the heads of the TA5 and X14 and you will be like, "WTF?!, how is the shaft not breaking on the X14s?!" I got the TT Dynamic Gold Sensicores w/ the TA5s and I love them so much. It creates a higher trajectory for me, but about the same distance. The best $410 I have ever spent. The Gunmetals will rust over time, but not as quickly as RTG. Also, the good thing about the Gunmetals is that it won't rust all around, only on the insert on the front head. These clubs are such high quality at an unbelievable price! Get them now!! Played these irons a solid year now and have not tried a set of irons that are better. If you're really into playing a lot of different shots you may find a few sets that are better suited for shotmakers. But if you're looking for a set that hits it high, straight & long on top of that super forgiving, better give these a try. Cleveland TA5 Gunmetal Irons
These were the best clubs I've ever played with, initially. After approximatley 6 rounds, the clubhead on the PW seperated at the hozzel. It looked as though the shaft had splintered and it seemed like an isolated problem. I sent this club back to Cleveland (through Golfsmith in San Diego...great service!) and they repaired the club at no cost. Two more rounds and the 3 iron breaks in the same exact place. Now, it feels like the 4 iron is close to doing the same. I love the feel and weight of these clubs and if I didn't have these problems, I would recommend them without question. With this inherent problem, I have 0 confidence in their durability. Customer Service Customer service advises me to send the clubs off for repair. After the second club broke, they still won't acknowledge there is a bigger problem with the manufacturing. I'm not getting much help from Cleveland...the TGW is trying to make it right but they too want me to keep sending broken clubs and won't acknowledge that there's more to this problem. Ta5 Gunmetal - W/Steel Shafts
Played Callaway X-14 last year,Never got used to the larger club head and jacked up lofts * (PW that goes 135). Have played 6 rounds with the Ta5 Gunmetals and each round is geting better. These clubs play similar to the x-14 just not quite as long *. The short irons on the Ta5's are way better. The ball flight is high and when they hit the green the ball just stops. The x-14's come in hot and just run. The long irons are solid yet forgiving. Kudo's to Cleveland for making a club that will will grow as your game improves. If you are looking for a good set of clubs that allows you to take dead aim at the flags and are forgiving at the same time give these a try. *By The way get custom fit - Your game will thank you.......... TA5 irons
These are great irons. I went from Top Flite Tour Edition to these. The TA5's seem to have a bigger sweet spot and fly about 10 yards farther. It could be because they are stronger, I'm not sure. Similar Products Used: Top Flite Tour Edition |

TA5 Graphite
Great Clubs!! The most forgiving clubs I have ever hit. Went with the graphite shafts because of my swing speed and I am not disappointed. Easy to get the ball in the air with long irons and I've added 10 yards per club for my short irons. Great clubs combined with a few lessons (a must for high handicappers) and I have lowered my handicap almost 10 strokes from the start of the summer. Paid a little more than I wanted to, but I received a "free" bag with my purchase. All in all very satisfied with my new clubs Similar Products Used: Tommy Armour 845 Oversize |

Cleveland TA5 steel shaft regular
I purchased the Clevelands as my game was ready for the greater accuracy of steel shaft. I was previously using Taylormade burners with s90 graphite shafts and was prepared to lose a little distance for greater accuracy as the TMs tend to waft a bit in the short irons and produce the odd flyer from 8 iron on in. The TA5s have been a real revelation. From 6 iron on down I can really dial in distance and they are longer by about 5 metres a club than the TMs and with the steel shafts!!. With the long irons I now feel confident with the 3 iron anywhere from 170 to 180 metres out and it really holds a true ball flight. The beauty of the Clevelands is the confidence they inspire at address and how they deal with less than perfect ball contact - mishits and thins do not end up as disasters and slices seem to hold an acceptable line so I end up on the fringe of the green and not the sandpit!! I tried a variety of clubs and would recomend these clibs as a real confidence builder and you'll find yourself hitting sweet natural draws. Most importantly if you are an improving golfer ( and who doesn't fall into that category if you are a born optimist??)this club really responds and encourages confidence to try knockdowns and fades - extremely important if like me you have to deal with windy courses. TA5s are great clubs - I see the reviews raving about the gunmetals but the standard product is fantastic value compared to Pings and Callaways at almost double the price ... and they are the best looking clubs on the market.
