Cleveland CG4 Irons
After playing the Mizuno MX-20's, I wanted to switch to a new set of irons. I loved the MX-20's, and wanted to find a set that was similar to them. Before I even made it to the MX-23's, I happened to come across a set of Nike ProCombo II OS's brand new for $400. I gave them a try, and didn't like them. Distance was ok, and long irons weren't as forgiving as I would like. I took it to a local pro shop/range, and they gave me $530 for the trade value! I immediately jumped all over that deal. Even though the manager recommended the MX-23's, he also suggested the CG4's. I never played Cleveland products before, and was a bit hesitant about it. But from the rack, these irons look pretty atractive. On the range, wow, was I impressed. Shots are long and true. I can draw the balls just as easily as the MX-23's ( I compared them side by side along with the Taylor Made Rac OS II). Immediately Taylor Made fell off the list. Chunky, too mucy offset, muted feedback, blah. I had hard time deciding between the 23's and the CG4's. So, I told the guy I'm gonna come back the next day, and immediately hit them right off the bat with a few long irons and a few short irons, cold. You know, like the most of us when we go out and play on the weekend. Finally, I chose the Cleveland the next day. They were just a bit more forgiving. And the feel, was comparable to almost the forged irons. And off center shots, balls still went straight and felt better in hands. I was just so impressed. First time out on the course, I could immediately tell what a great set of irons these truely are. They set up nice behind the ball, nice and balanced, and gets the ball out of thick stuff quick! Even my buddies were impressed by them and the way I've improved on my iron plays! Seriously give them a try if you're in the market for a new set of irons. Give yourself a chance and ask yourself what you want the most out of a your iron games. I am a mid handicapper. As we get older, there's less time to practice and improve. I needed a set that wasn't clunky and heavy looking, and wasn't good enough for smalle, blade-like irons. These CG4's are truly best of both world. Great job, Cleveland. I am a fan now! What can I say about these irons other than they fit my swing perfectly. I've never hit a set of cleveland irons before but i have heard they are a very solid club to hit and that statement stand true. I have hit ping eyes, callaway big berthas, and a set I bougth two months ago, Taylor Made RACs. They are all great irons but the accuracy I have with these irons surprises even me and the more confident you feel with a club the better you will hit it. Awesome feeling clubs |

Typical single digit handicap player that thought it was time to get better clubs and start shaping shots! Not as easy as it sounds and the game suffered. Have been playing Snake Eyes 600B's the last couple years. Handicap went from 4 to 12 and realized it was time to get back to irons I could hit. Tried out the Cleveland CG4 and fell in love with them. Great feel, very straight, adequate spin, and very good distance compared to the blades. Not an exageration, I've gained 20+ yards a club compared to Snake Eyes. First round took time to get used to extra distance, next two 74 and 75 with a lot of very good shots. Long irons are a pleasure to hit, they're so easy! Would highly recommend to golfers of any skill level. They will bring the game back! Customer Service No experience with yet. These are great irons. The weird satin finish on the face takes a bit to get used to, but the play from these is superb - the long irons in particular. They are by far the easiest I've ever hit. They explode high into the air from any lie and are very long. I had moved to hybrids for the 3 and 4 (Hogan - excellent!) but I hit the CG4 4-iron as long and as high as the 3 hybrid and just as easily. I love my TA7's, but the CG4'a are in the bag for now. I will admit I did something I normally never do - I impulsed on these and ordered them without even trying them because of the hype surrounding the material, and I liked the sleek looking design. I have to say I was anything but disappointed after hitting them for the first time yesterday, I get the same distances that I did with my TA7's, but the feel is equal to or better, and the long and middle irons are so easy to hit, it makes the switch a real no-brainer. Initially, they do seem a little easier wo "work" the ball with than my TA7's also. In short, the CG4's look like another winner from the most underrated golf company on the planet. Well done Cleveland Golf! Customer Service The folks at Cleveland are outstanding to work with. They'll answer any question and perform any club adjustment service for you free of charge. I bought these as soon as they became available, EXCELLENT irons, the new metal process makes these feel like your hitting forged irons...I don't know if I hit them any further than my Callaway x-18's but I hit them every bit as far. The fitting process has helped my ball striking, do yourself a favor and at least demo these babies. Customer Service They are good, not quite the league as Callaway Similar Products Used: Callaway X-18's Taylor Made RAC OS |

I went to a demo today hoping to try out a few different sets of irons and find one i really liked to save up for it. I really liked these clubs, i thought they were the best that i hit all day. i hit the 6 and 8 at least 180 and 160, which is 10 yards longer than i usually do. I am going to start saving my pennies and get fitted for these clubs in the near future. Customer Service Answered every question about the cmm metal and about their woods.
