I dont know what ucsd was on when they played these clubs, but it was strong. You cannot properly review any clubs after you have played with them for one round, get a lesson. This is the best set I have ever played with, period, and I have had alot of sets. X-12's, 2002 big bertha irons(yuck), Taylor Made, Wilson, Ping. Thes irons are long. You cannot go wrong, if you can find a set. Played with them this past weekend and shot a 78 on a tight golf course. My score has dropped around 6 strokes with these. Nice appearance at address. All around great clubs. Customer Service Dealt with customer service a few times, and they are the best. Similar Products Used: Callaway x-12's, Big Bertha irons |

This is a great set of clubs and that is the bottom line. I have played mizuno grads, ping isi's, ping eye 2 becu's, tommy armours, ping i3's, and about anything else you can imagine. i am a iron lover and like to try different things. This by far is the most forgiving set of clubs that I have ever picked up. They set up well and give the golfer to make a mistake. Highly recommended clubs |

fairly new to the game. bought these clubs on the recommendation of our club pro. when struck well, these are some very sweet feeling, long clubs. very forgiving on mis-hits with very good feedback. i'm sure i'll be playing these for a very long time to come. be aware that due to the hosel/shaft design, these clubs do need to be sent back to callaway for lie/loft adjustments or reshafting. Customer Service absolutely superb. had them adjust my lies, which they did for free. they even paid for shipping both ways. had the clubs back within a week. bent the shaft on the pitching wedge, which they reshafted for free, again paying shipping both ways. I had previously avoided this brand before because I didn't like the company image, and didn't like the very thick top line of previous models. Having said that, you get used to it, and it actually helps confidence at address. These irons were a revelation. Makes a difficult game a little easier. The best irons I have owned. Sends it long, high & straight without having to force the swing. Let's face it, this is what most golfers really need unless they are top players, and can consistently control their shot shapes with tour-type accuracy. I have hit some better feeling clubs such as Mizuno T-Zoids etc., but the Callaways offer help on days when the B or C game shows up (which is most of the time). Looks far, far better than the X-12 or the X-16s, although I believe the new model is slightly better with the long irons. Ping i3's may otherwise have been my choice but I didn't like the plasticky insert. Customer Service Not required, but the Callaway reputation for backup is legendary Similar Products Used: Have previously owned Adams GT,Cleveland TA5, (both also excellent) Mizuno T-Zoid, Top-Flite Tour, Yonex, Hogan Edge, Lynx Parralax & Black Cat Tour. Have tried many others as my regular 4-ball make a habit of looking for that 'magic' set and testing each other's sets. |

These irons still rock! I have been playing them about 4 years now and still love them. Great feel, distance and accuracy. Recently, I explored the possibilty of selling them and getting a new set of irons, just to keep up with the new products and technology. I went to a driving range and demoed the new Ping G2 irons, Ping I-3+, Callaway X-16, and new Callaway Big Bertha Irons. I also hit my own X-14's to compare. Let me tell you that my X-14's felt better, had better distance, went straighter, and were more forgiving on miss hits. The bottom line: Don't believe everything you hear about the new irons on the market. These companies have to come out with something new just to keep up with each other. I firmly believe that the product just looks different. If the company didn't come out with a new club, their sales would go down. The X-14 is one of the best irons built for the mid to high handicapper. Give them a shot, you won't be disappointed. Customer Service Excellent. They are willing to help with anything. Have used these for 3 summers now. Straight, long and accurate. I do not understand those that say they can not "shape" the ball. If you have a sound swing and know how to hit the fade/draw there should be no problems with such shots. Having said this, I prefer my Cleveland Lob wedge and Gap (52) wedge to the X14. Probably psychological more than anything else given optics of blade vs CB. |

Very forgiving irons. Ideal for hi-hdcper like myself. Easy swing & the ball takes off well. Sand wedge is not that great though - had to change to a Mizuno wedge which cuts thru sand better. Overall very satisfied with used club purchase. Customer Service Never use. Similar Products Used: Powerbilt, King Cobra 2, Tommy Armour 855, Callaway Hawkeye, Daiwa Titanium |

Best clubs ever played. All you need is a nice and smooth swing and the ball will find its target. People who said these clubs have no feel and not workable should buy something else. It's like you buy a Rolls-Royce and drive it on a race track. It just doesn't make sense. Get them while you still can! |
