Somewhat forgiving, workable, decent feel, but i think they have too much offset. i am trading my x-14's in for X-18 pro series. Similar Products Used: Ping Eye 2, Tommy Armour 855 (Good Beginner Clubs) |

I have played quite a few different sets of irons, Lynx Parallax, DCI, Taylor Made Rac OS, Ping Eye 2, King Cobra, MacGregor...these beat them all. And YOU CAN work the ball, with ease! mY previous irons were RAC OS and these are longer and much more accurate. Similar Products Used: see above... |

Callaway equals forgiveness. I play Mizuno MP 30's and the offset on the X14's is an interesting shift. Contrary to what numerous have said you can shape your shots with these clubs. With offset a draw or hook around a corner is a pieceof cake. A fade is just as easy. The constant weight shaft should help out the mid-high handicapper and keep things uniform. They do hit rather high but that also falls into the forgiveness category. Annika plays 'em. The last time that I checked Miss '59 was fairly decent at shaping her shots. Bottom line, they are super easy to hit and although I am a forged player I did enjoy trying them out for a week ( 5 rounds. Considering that they have been discontinued, prices should be dropping like the thermometer in a Canadian winter, so enjoy. Customer Service The best in the industry. I played with the X-14's for a year. Not a bad club, but I always thought they lacked feel. It was difficult to work the ball and I never could tell where I hit the ball (towards toe, etc). I switched to Titleist 804's this year and am very happy that I did. Like I said, the X-14's are not bad clubs, but I think there are much better clubs out there. |

These clubs seem awkward. At set up the face appears closed, then when striking the ball the trajectory is extremely high, which makes it difficult in windy conditions. Fortunately these were complimentary at the resort I was at. It was extrmely difficult to ascertain if the ball was struck well or mis-hit. Bad shots felt the same as good shots. I was unable to work the ball with these. Customer Service Fantastic Similar Products Used: None |

To start with some have said here that the callaway x-14's are not good. That the 6-pw travel the same distance, and he was using the 5 for 150 or under. Well I maybe new to the game (only 3 yrs.) but I can tell you that day was not the clubs. I live in myrtle beach sc. some say the golf capital of the world. So even though I've only been playing for 3yrs. I do play alot. Fell in love with the game so much that I now work on a golf course. I've gone to all the demo days, tried all the latest and the greatest. I like the X-14's the most. Even over the latest by Callaway. However I did change the shafts to tt and the grips to natural golf. I do think that the new shafts gave me better feel and the grips were just for my way of swing. The BB's kinda poped up on me and the x-16's had better feel but did the same. The distance with the 14's were better than the 16's. Perhaps with the setup I have with the 14's the newer clubs might be as good but I think it would still be a catch up thing. I also think this is the perfict set of clubs to start out with. they can grow with your game. You can get a fairly new set at a good price, play with them as is and as you get better you can change shafts, grips, etc. to fit your game. Very soon I'll be in the 80's (I hope). I broke 100 with this set and I see no need to change in the near future.. So if you ever fly around the world jump off a plane, borrow someone eles clubs and have a bad day. Don't knock the clubs look at the big picture.. Customer Service never had a need to call Similar Products Used: tested many at demo days, owned Penick, Acer, Cobra |

The Callaway X-14 is an incredibly forgiving set of irons. There have been many times when I have hit the ball poorly and it still went straight towards the pin. A poorly struck shot tends to sacrifice distance more than direction. I have the Callaway Constant Weight steel shafts on my set... I demo'd the graphite shafts (regular flex) and felt the steel shafts were more consistant. If you are looking for a solid set of irons to help improve your game, it is hard to go wrong with the X-14s. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Callaway Big Bertha irons |

These are fabulous irons. I have used them for the past few years. First of all, they are a beautiful club. They look very simple but one miss-hit off the sweetspot and you will know by the minimal loss of distance and direction that there is a lot of technology in this club to help out when needed. And a flush shot feels real solid. And i don't get all these people that review products on this site that say they need a forged club to work the ball. I'm able to hit these irons high, low, fades, draws, etc. A great iron I highly recommend. Customer Service Never needed to use them but I trust Callaway will be there if there is a problem.
