Wow! What a nice set of Irons. I have never been a big fan of the Rifle shaft but it works extremely well with the X14 PS Head. I had some X14's a while ago and I traded them in for Apex's. The new X14's are the real deal. The problems I had with the original X14 are gone. Things like hot shots that contributed to poor distance control, that's gone. It's like Callaway tightened the tolerances on this set of irons. They just sing. The forgiveness is still there but the feel and accuracy are greatly improved. They look fantastic too. One of the nicest things is the new shaft because it really lends to lower ball flight. Another complaint I had with the original X14 was the exaggerated ball flight. The center of gravity was so low I could hit these giant moon shots if I wasn't careful. All in all Callaway really got it right this time. A fantastic set of clubs.

Customer Service

so far pretty good. no problems

i have been to the range once with these clubs and despite the cold weather and completely chewed range balls, found them to be solid and fairly workable. feel can't be described as "forged like", but compared to the i3 blades, evo's, or 990's, these win out. my only complaint is that the standard lie angles on these sticks are much flatter than the current "industry standard."

callaway's service is unmatched in the industry.

These are solid golf clubs. They look fantastic and very forgiving. They feel a little more solid than the old x-14s and the reduced offset makes these really good sticks for someone looking for a forgiving reduced offset club. They dont fly as high as the previous version and i wouldnt recommend them for high handicappers but for people interested in a reduced offset club that is still semi forgiving these are terrific.

I recently pruchased these irons with some reservations that they might be too "advanced" for a high handicapper like myself. Not so. I was extremely pleased at their sound and feel. I had very few mis-hits and they are remarkably straight without being big headed. They are beautiful to look at and feel extremely solid. They are longer than my wilson fatshafts which surprised me. I am thrilled with these realtively (for Callaway) inexpensive irons. I cannot imagine a better club but I am just beginning in this game. If you are a mid handicapper don't be scared away by the blade like apearance. These clubs are so sweet.

A very good club. The rifle shaft however does not absorb much shock, especially if you hit alot of balls off a mat (and you may get a sore hand like me). Would be interested in perhaps trying the TT Bimatrix shaft with the clubs.

This clubs are very good! Constant Distance and direction. Nevertheless I've lost some distance, from my previous King Cobra. But I prefer to loose 5-8 yards and win in direction and constant distance. Which is the problem to hit a 2 iron if it is as easier as a 7 iron??

I turned in my Callaway Titaniums for the Pro Series X-14's just before going out to play in the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic pro-am...in the hope of getting that little edge we all want. Having gotten down to a 4 hdcp at one point last year I felt that a "blade" with regular rifle shafts would get me to another level. What a mistake! Despite being fitted for the proper length and lie I couldn't break 80 with these clubs. The problem was with the shafts, not the blade. After years playing graphite shafts my 88 mph swing was just too slow for even the regular rifles. In Palm Springs I played with a member of the Callaway board of directors who said they were quite a while away from introducing a graphite shaft to match the Pro-Series head. After a few months of frustration I finally went to my local knock-off club shop and had them put in graphite shafts. I now love the clubs and am back shooting in the 70's.

One of the best I've hit. Certainly the feel of a Callaway. The top line is thinner, but not by much. They still look a little chuncky, but better than previous models. Less offset is great. The regular x-14 offset is a little too agressive. The is a great club. The grips are a little crooked.

This is a follow up to a review I had made a month or so ago. These clubs are the best I have ever hit. You miss it, you might feel it and notice it but most hits are rewarded. You can work these irons and I strongly recommend them because of the feel of the Rifle shafts. I particularly like hitting from the 6 down to my pitching wedge. One thing I did notice is my sand wedge is a 54 degree loft. They have a 56 in the sand wedge and 58 and 60 in the lob. I may dump my four wood in favor of getting a fourth wedge because I can hit the three Iron just as far as the four wood. One thing I really noticed is that my constant strong draw with my old x-14's graphite is now gone. These Irons are much straighter because of the less offset. Also have gotten used to the little fatter grip.

Customer Service

Absolutely outstanding
