After having a frustrating start to this season, not being able to hit the ground with the ball, I tried these irons at a local golfsmith store. Man, what a feeling. The ball just jumps off the club face. Super controll, great feedback, great looking, amazing feeling clubs. I strongly recomend at least trying these clubs if you are in the market, you don't know what you are missing.

Fell in love w/ my new Cally 454 Bertha Titanium driver, so went I got into the market for new irons after using Mizunos for 4 years, I went w/ the 04 Berthas. Totally different club than the MX20s, but better for me (12 handicap). I'm a decent player, but these have more forgiveness and inspire confidence in your ability to hit the shot you want, knowing that any miss hit even remotely solid, regardless of where on the face, is gonna be a "good miss" and not in jail. So far, I've played 3 9 hole rounds with these irons (no warmups or range sessions). I've made 4 birdies in 27 holes...WAY ABOVE my average....only ONE of the four required me to make a putt of more than 2 and 1/2 feet. Today on my "personal demon hole" (that I almost always make double bogey on), I had a one inch putt for birdie after hitting a high, towering draw 5 iron from 170 way uphill to a tucked left, back pin location. I did hit a stinker 9 iron today, which is the first time in 3 rounds that I've hit a truly terrible shot....hit it heavy. But trust me, to hit these babies w/ the wide sole fat, it was a BAD swing. Any bad shot you make w/ these clubs is DEFINITELY your fault. Best irons I've ever hit, and second place can't even sniff that perpetual view of all but the lead dog, the butt. Long, high, straight, what more is there?

These clubs are great! Very long and forgiving. I've been using these irons for about a year and can find no fault with them, in fact I'm in love with them. I have seen nothing but quality in them. You need to look no further for a great set of irons.

Customer Service

I have not had to use customer service, but I have the utmost confidence in this great company.

Beware, beware, beware. Bought these clubs 12 months ago. Very forgiving, expensive but wait for a year. In September last year the shaft at the bore through started to rust, Callaway says send the clubs back. After new shafts, and grips the heads are starting to come apart. I did a lot of research before I got these clubs believing that Callaway was the way to go,WRONG.

Customer Service

Poor. Jomac Golf Dartmouth said 1 year, Callaway says 2 year guart. Who knows.

Spring is in the air, I figure, what the heck, I'm going to pick up a decent set of clubs this year. My last set last set were Tommy Armour 855s - which felt like you're hitting rocks. After trying about 8 sets of irons on the golf simulator, I decided on the Big Berthas, Graphite shaft firm. I was hitting the 5 iron 215 yards, which is a good 30-40 yards longer then I normally hit with the 855s. Amazing. They feel very good, better then the rest that I tried. I also liked the Ping G2's quite a bit, which had a nice feel, and the Nike NDS came in third. I settled on the Callaways beacuse of the distance I was getting, a good 20-25 yards over the Pings and the Nikes. I'm a high handicap golfer, not very good, about the only thing I can hit consistantly well is my driver. I've hit the set 2 times at the course, and once at the range, and I gotta say, I like them. They feel great. They hit long, and they are forgiving, at least more so then my 855s. I hit them straighter, as long as I don't botch my swing. Too bad they cost me $800 bucks. If your looking to spend less, check out the NDS, they can be had for $500 graphite. Are these going to make you a great golfer - no. But in my short time hitting these I do believe I did drop a couple of strokes. They are a nice set, good for the high handicappers, they look great, hit long, so I give them a big thumbs up. You'll want to pick up a couple of wedges if you buy these. The 10 iron hits more like a 9.

Customer Service

Bought these at Golf Galaxy, service wasn't bad but not outstanding.

I just received my irons and went directly to the range, these clubs are out of this world. Crisp, straght and long. If you hit it on the toe or the heel, the ball still stays on your target line. A must buy if your looking for forgiving irons.

Customer Service

Great customer service.

The weather finally got good enough in the northeast to get out to the range and hit these irons. WOW!!! These clubs can't be legal. There has to be some form of cheating involved here. High - Straight - Long. Just pick your target and swing, the ball will find the target. I've used other so-called game improvement irons before but the 2004 Big Bertha irons are in a class by themselves. I was completely awed by the performance of these clubs. Even shots that started out right of the target would gently draw back right on line. I was thunderstruck. At one point I literally looked at the club in my hands and all I could say was "WOW". What really surprised me about the clubs was that unlike other "forgiving" irons, these didn't feel dull or dead on ball contact. The Feel was very crisp without being harsh. This has to be legalized cheating. Something else that was strange about irons this forgiving was the fact that you could work the ball with them. It was a more subtle working of the ball than with some clubs but it could be done. It was easier to draw the ball than to fade it. I just can't say enough about these clubs. I was hitting the ball so well that I was becoming cocky (not a feeling I've often had while hitting balls) most times golf is a humbling experience. These clubs are my first experience with a Callaway product and all I can say is Thank You Callaway. A little more expensive than comparable clubs but now I'm convinced, you get what you pay for.

Customer Service

Great. Answered e-mails very quickly.

I am a junior golfer, but I have a good response for these irons. I bought these irons from Callawaypreowned.com and these are the most workable irons i have played. Soon I will be contending in Junior Competition and these Irons will certainly help. The oversized head really helps me gain confidence at address which I belive is very important. The improved classey look from the 2002 Big Berthas is also a plus. No reason why you shouldn't be considering these irons when you enter your proshop as a sweet buy. $512 dollars from the Callaway pre-owned website is a nice price compared to its normal price. Its easy on your wallet, not that I am really one to say since I don't have a real job(I caddy.) I also enjoy the 4-10, W option. The 10 iron is really a gap wedge from my studies on loft and carry. I don't need a 3-Iron anyways. I can't hit smack with a 3-Iron. Getting an extra wedge instead is a nice plus. Overall, if you want a easy to hit, extemely forgiving, good looking, sweet buy, than buy the '04 Big Berthas!

Customer Service

The customer service was very helpful. They answered my e-mails very fast with detail. No "We apreciate that you have a coment or question about our product, but we can't get to you right now." Thats bull. I could also get all of the shipping info I needed.
