These are the best clubs I've owned. I started with some knock-off Big Bertha's with a cheap shaft and hated them but didn't know better. One year later bought the Ping i3's. Well, they were somewhat better but I still couldn't hit them like I thought I should be able to. Three months ago bought a set of 2002 Big Bertha irons with the uniflex shaft. These clubs take all the sting out of mis-hits and fly very very high. Too high for me. Finally a week ago I bought a set of VFT w/Graphite 75 firm flex. Played with them two rounds and wouldn't get rid of these clubs for anything. I can't imagine anything better ever coming out, but, I know that's going to happen one day. However, these clubs are longer than any others I've used, plus the stiff flex keeps the trajectory a little lower for me. I don't like a really high ball, just a good mid-flight trajectory. Only problem I had was hitting a few irons shots to the right. Don't know why yet but I'll figure it out. Do yourself a favor and buy these clubs. They're great and have just enough feedback for me. If there is a caveat it's they do not bite like my Ping i3s but what the heck, I'm closer to the green and can judge my distance a little better with the Callaway VFTs. Yes, they're expensive, but, I won't be looking to replace them in a year either. Wish I could rate these higher than 5. They're worth it! Customer Service The very best. I called to have the lie changed 2* up. No problem and NO charge. All I pay is shipping one way. How's that! Similar Products Used: Ping i3, Big Bertha 2002 |

Please don't buy these irons. I want to be the only person who plays them! Seriously, These are the best Irons I have ever hit. I've demo/hit just about every game improvement iron made and personally owned Pings and King Cobras. These are like night and day in comparison to everything else. These Irons are long! But they feel soft. And the trajectory is HIGH! If you want to know what it's like to stop a 3 iron on the green, Hit these irons. There is no other Iron that compares to this. Very forgiving! It's a great value because they totally change your game for the better! |

Ego ain't in my way any longer. paint 'em pink and tie a bow on them and I will still play them. nuff said. Bought these clubs initially for their appearance, love them because of their outstanding performance. I normally have a horrible slice; these clubs without changing any of my swing mechanics consistently produce a managable fade or even a draw. They have an incredibly large sweet spot. The new systme 75 shafts are extremely light but very stiff- I have the regular flex and they feel like my stiff shafts on my woods. The tungsten balls really work! If you can afford them, get them! Walking in the store, and the chrome head caught my eyes. Try to hit it inside the store. Thinking it could be difference on the driving range and the Golf course. Take my chance bought them. they are so easy to hit, very forgiving with a large sweet spot, you can not miss it, and they also looking very nice. Quality wise, you know that you can not go wrong with Callaway . Consider that the sets of irons that I use before this one is Taylormade Burner Oversize with bubble shaft, and Hawkeye is easier to hit than Burnner. I know that every one had their own opions But please try them atlease, and before you do that. Save all your Lunch allowance, ask your spouse if you can do the chore for extra income. Because you might fall in love with it. Sorry TAYLORMADE you just lost this one to CALLAWAY. I'm Glad that I did take that chance. It's the best investment in golf equiments that I ever made and I know I'm will be enjoy them for many years to come. Customer Service The best in it class. I agree with some of the reviews that the hawkeye irons are a bit heavy for high handicapper, resulting in occasional fat shots, but they are really really long. I own a set of EzComp also and the hawkeyes consistantly beat them by 5 yards!!! Customer Service Have yet to face problem with the irons Similar Products Used: Mizuno EzComp, MP-14 , Titleist 981SL, PRGR 811 |
