Great and beautiful looking clubs. Love the Wynn grips. Have spent last 3 months demoing clubs including those listed above. These are the most forgiving of them all. What I really liked is being able to custom order the proper shafts: flighted 5.5 rifles (this is the heart of the club as far as I'm concerned). Ping is less flexible with regards to shafts(no variation in flex point). Adams GT irons(my 2nd choice) were longer but I am more consistent with length and straighter with the Hawkeyes. Nice job Callaway!

This Iron is just terrible. It dosent spin, feel, or sound good. If the iron were $499 it would be good. If any body is in the market to buy irons try the ones listed above. You will save a ton of cash and get a much better club. The sole is way to wide and these irons are really lofted rescue clubs. The whole idea behind an iron is to control the ball and work it into the green. Not hitting the ball far and straight. The Long irons are good on a par five to get the ball to aproach position but the mid-short irons don't have the control options of the mizunos or the taylormads. Even if you like the irons for feel, spin, and distance, try some other clubs and don't jump to getting these right away. I bought the Steelhead plus after trying only two other drivers. It beat those drivers in every cadigory but it definetly wasn't the best. Don't make the mistake of going straight for callaway. Try all of the options, take your time, analize each iron and go one at a time. Then look at price and choose the best overall value and performance.

Great Irons, like em as much is not more than my old original Big Bertha Irons. Got em custom ordered 2 degrees up +1/2, with dynamic gold shafts and midsized grip. Love em. Unlike Joe (who should have taken a lesson).

I'm 6'3" tall and I ordered one inch
over length and strong flex in graphite,
and what a pleasure to play. These irons feel great and boy they are accurate and long and very forgiving.

forgiving and at least one club longer.

After reading Joe's "crap, crap, crap" comments, I had to run out and buy these clubs. I had tried them myself with a demo set from my local golf pro. The feeling you get with these clubs is like hitting a tennis ball with a crushing overhand serve right in the sweet spot, only every time!!! I could work them with ease and just needed something to push me over the edge into buying them. I actually could work the graphite shafted (stiff flex) better than the steel. The steel had a tendancy to scatter a bit, but the graphite was deadly and right on track. I could fire right at the pin from 180 to 185 with a five iron. The steel shaft actually went further, 185 - 195, but at a sacrifice of accuracy. I was concerned that I could not work these, but found with a slight change in my setup and concentrating on not coming over the top that I could get these clubs to do anything I wanted. Soft landings with the short irons from 150 yards in were no problem.

I've played with the same Tommy Armour 845's since 1988 and won many a round of golf and won many flights at my club. I fluctuate between a 8 and 13 handicap depending on the time of year, so I'm anxious to go out with these clubs while my handicap is up from the "winter" golf and let my playing partners "pay" for them over the year with my winnings!

Thanks, Joe! Without your insightful and poignant revue comments I may never have acted and purchased these! You should consider a career in writing.

I am a fanatic in buying clubs, have a set of Pings ISI-S and the Mizuno CompEz. I found the Mizuno too forgiving and lack the ability for precise distance, just a little too forgiving. Good for a starter set. The Pings are good. But these Hawkeyes deliver more distance and give me the good control. I get a great smooth feeling and love the grips.

These irons are for high handicappers. They just dont give you any feel. I would recommend that better players opt for a set that allows a little more feel and creativity. Try the Mizuno CompEZ, awesome!

Beautifully balanced, excellent clubface dynamics, and very easy to hit long, controlled, straight fairway shots. My game is improving, with these clubs (high seventies). I give these these clubs the highest rating. Expect to birdie more often. The only drawback with these clubs- all my friends want to use them.

Nice smooth feel, the ball flight is higher and distance is not really sacrificed. Great control on landing, love em, nice looking too.
