Hit a friends and had to have them. His and mine had stiff Graphite shafts. The sensation is like no other club I've hit. However, after playing with them for a while, I learned to like them less. Soles are pretty thick, bought the Tour Model Approach Wedge which helped a lot over the standard wedges. Still faded the long irons, pulled the short irons and generally missed the "feel" that I got from my Staff Blades. Lost a club length, by the way vs my blades, and a few other irons I've hit. Might have been better off with steel shafts, don't know. Have sold them and am shopping for something a little less soft. Demo on the coarse for a few rounds if you get a chance. Fun to hit at the range or into a net, did not improve my score. Similar Products Used: Staff Tour Blades, Hogan Radius, Armour 845's, Titleist DCI |

these irons have reg graphite shafts. The clubs make a solid ping sound when struck and are super soft. Very forgiving. The heads look neat as well when the naturally tarnish. Pricey but nice. Very unique Similar Products Used: None |

I love these irons have 1-w. This is the first set of forgiving irons I have owned that have the feel of forged irons. They are also extremely long, but I believe that is due in part to less loft than my old pings. Similar Products Used: None |

Hit a friends and had to have them. Mine have the steel Memphis 10 shafts. The sensation is like no other club I've hit. However, after playing with them for a while, I learned to like them less. Soles are pretty thick. Still faded the long irons, pulled the short irons and generally missed the "feel" that I got from my PowerBilt tp2 6.0s. Lost a club length, by the way vs my Powerbilts, and a few other irons I've hit. Demo on the coarse for a few rounds if you get a chance. Fun to hit at the range or into a net. Super forgiving. Great for high handicappers. Similar Products Used: PowerBilt tps 6.0(Great irons), Callaway X12, Ping knockoffs. |

These clubs are awesome! They pack explosive distance and provide great controls. The berthas are fat but still light. The steel shafts really provide awesome feel during the downswing too. All in all, the club is too good to compare with. If you want something a little less fat but with as good ((or maybe even better)) feel try the Steelhead X-14's. They're gonna be my next set! Customer Service My 8-iron's head fell off during my swing. I sent it back to Callaway, and within 2 weeks it was back as good as new. These are the best clubs I've ever tried. They are easy to hit, and for shaping shots, the best forgiving club on the market. They also make a beautiful sound when the ball flies off the face. They also naturally tarnish, which is excellent for sunny conditions. Excellent graphite shafts aswell. Only problem is the price tag! These clubs are great. They are very forgiving and easy to hit. The top of the head is pretty wide, but that hasn't bothered me. I would suggest trying the steel shafts before buying graphite. The graphite are pretty light and after hitting some steel shafts, I feel like I am ""muscling"" the graphite. It is much easier to feel where the head is on the steel shaft during your swing. Customer Service Excellent customer service. I went to their golf center in Las Vegas and they have a specialist that will anylize your swing and physical characteristics to get you fitted into the right size club (shaft length, flex, lie, etc) They did this for free with no pressure to buy anything. Also, my friend has the x12's and wanted his lie adjusted 1 degree upright. Callaway paid to have them shipped, adjusted them, and shipped them back to him within 2 weeks, all for free. I tried these clubs which were owned by some senior player. As with other Callaway irons the clubhead is thick but lightweight. The shaft(RCH96) also is sub-par, consistent with other callaway shafts. Very forgiving clubs but no feeling. It seems like the balls sticks to the clubhead forever after impact. Customer Service Callaway seems to have a good customer service dept. ; my friend broke his terrible BBUL shaft on his GBB, then sent it to Callaway then they gave him a new loft GBB head with a new shaft. Also they'll give full credit on an old Callaway bag if you send it in for a new Callaway bag. Similar Products Used: None |
