These are not forged Callaways. The sweet spot is hard to find, the soles are too wide and they have way too much bounce.Shot correction and forgiveness are marginal at best;these are not forged Callaways.High handicappers beware, not much from these clubs. There is nothing like the feel of a forged club. Once you try it you'll never settle for anything less. These clubs are as accurate(steel shaft) as any I have hit. The club to club consistency is great. The distance is above average. What amazes me is the control I have with the Edges. I pick my target and hit it, direction and distance! It happens with such frequency now that my buddies are amazed. When I "hit it on the screws" there is almost no feel...just the "thwack" sound you only get from forged. When I miss I can feel where on the face I missed it. There is no real pain on mishits. Hogans are classy looking clubs and have alot of admirers. Other players see these and act like I have a blonde beauty on my arm...they all want to touch. No buyers remorse here. Negatives: 1)these clubs aren't cheap, 2) a nit-pick...the red paint in the "9" of my 9 iron was messed up, 3) the "Rodney(Caddyshack)Dangerfield" effect of having such nice/brand new sticks. I liked the the X-14s and the i3s ok, but these were the ticket for me. Similar Products Used: Ping I3 O-size, Callaway X-14, Cleveland TA-5, many lesser others. |

This is a great set of golfclubs. I have tested these clubs together with Clevelands TA5 gunmetal, Taylormade 320, Ping I3 oversize, Makser, Honma, Callaway x14 on the driving range. These clubs are for me the best clubs i have ever played. The feedback is great, I also get more length and accuracy. Simply put these are great clubs. I did not think I could hit forged irons but once I demoed these I had to buy them. Forgiving, accurate with great feed back. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made Supersteel |

This is a follow up review. I really like these irons. The more I play with them the better they get. Excellent distance control and forgiveness. I find the distances average, maybe a bit longer. The Lightweight Apex Edge shaft has a low kick point to promote higher ball flight and that really works well for me. I was always a low ball hitter. These are the easist irons to hit flush I have ever had. Better than the Callaways(x12,X14Pro,Hawkeyes)Much more forgiving than the Apex Plus. For any player looking to improve I think these irons are worth trying! Customer Service None Similar Products Used: Many others Callaways, Titlest, Ping Apex Plus |

I demoed a BH Apex Edge 5-iron with a regular number 4 steel shaft at my local golf shop in an indoor practice net. So take this review for what it's worth. Similar Products Used: During testing I swung the following 5-irons: Titleist 981, Adams GT, Taylor Made Super Steel, Square Two XLT |

I always wanted forged clubs. Came close to purchasing the comp ez's, but after extensively demo'g the Apex Edge's i was sold. Feel is not exactly like a forged blade but very soft vs. my previous cast irons (I3's). BTW, the I3's are about the best cast club on the market and i am keeping them as a second set. Customer Service knowledgable Similar Products Used: Comp EZ, Mac PCB |

Wow! What a terrific set of irons. I recently bought the apex edge irons with Numbe three graphite shafts. This selection came after months of trying almost every gane improvement iron on the planet. I suffer from very bad tendondonitis in my elbow so I was looking for comfort, performance, but also the proper amount of feel and feedback. I have found that in the Edge. Similar Products Used: Adams, Tight Lie GT irons, Cleveland Quad Pro Irons, and MaxFly Revolutions. In my opinion, none compared to the Hogans. |

Great Clubs! Imagine beautiful x-12's with forged iron feel. Very forgiving, toe or heel hits go straight but shorter. Very beautiful clubs look great at set up. Good feedback. Same distance as x-12's. Love'em! EXPENSIVE! Similar Products Used: Callaway X-12, Ping ISI-Nickel |

I was looking for a club that gave me a forged feeling but still had the forgiveness of a cavity back. I currently own eye 2's and also Nicklaus VCG's (which buy the way you don't see around a lot and is a wonderful club). I've hit the Hogans a few times already and they are wonderful. They feel like butter when you hit them correctly and on off center hits are almost as forgiving as my eye 2's and not quite as forgiving as my VCG's. I bought these at a golf show and talked to a guy that was a 4 handicap and he said he hit them in florida and they were one of the best clubs he has tried. He said he has been looking to switch for years and has tried cleveland quadpros, tour action, other forged clubs and the Hogans are the best. Stay tuned, I have tried them all. I will write in as the weather warms up and I use them more. Customer Service Too early to tell...
