These clubs immediately took 5 stokes off of my game and let me play more consistently. The long irons (4i&5i in ladies) are great and are easy to hit straight and long. I am going to add the 3i to my bag, far easier to hit than a fairway wood. I easily hit 15 yards longer than both Top Flites and Callaway X-14s. They feel good and put the fun back into the game. The pitching iron is the best club of them all, incredible feel.

Customer Service

Adams customer service is excellent. Broke a Tight Lies wood and they reshafted with no problem.

I've only had the the clubs for two weekends and I've played two rounds! These clubs are outstanding, the first time out I posted a 104. The second time out I used the 3i wood on all the Par 4 and long Par 3's and I posted a 89 from the Blue tees. Some of it could have been hitting the fairways more often and not missing the fairway badly. You have to really set up wrong to hit a shot that you can't recover from. I would like to go out a few more times to validate this purchase. If you are looking for a set of clubs and you are a Mid to High handicapper this is the set for you. I had to slow my swing speed down, and once I did that I hit the ball high and straight. I had taken the 4-6 out of my old bag, but now I can hit every club in the bag with confidence. The only negative thing is that there is a gap between the 4iwood and the 5 traditional Iron.

Washington Golf custuomer service is outstanding and they are very helpful.

After nearly 2 years, I felt my Callaway Hawkeyes firm flex were wrong for my slower swing speed as I habitually sliced longer irons. I had already switched to senior flex [Cleveland Launcher] woods with much improved results. I decided on regular graphite Adams Idea irons. The first time on range hit each iron about 10-15 yards longer than Hawkeyes and fairly straight. Was very encouraged. Especially liked the extra distance on the 3 and 4-iwoods to fill in the distance gap between my Hawkeye 5-iron, ca. 150+ yards, [don't even use the 4-iron as can't get consistent solid hits] and erratic off the turf 5-wood [180-200 yds]. I was using the Perfect Club for 160-170 yard range. On the golf course, Idea irons felt heavy, and I haven't hit them nearly as well as that first time on range. Not convinced they are an improvement. Still like the lighter weight of the Hawkeyes. Will probably alternate between the 2 sets before settling on one of them.

Just got the irons today and hit the range to see how well I spent my money. I was hitting the 7 iron about 140 with my old clubs and was hitting it 160-165 with my new 7. My mis-hits with the 7 and above were nearly straight. The 5 and 6 irons were a lot longer than normal but I am still all over the place. I liked the feel of the hybrid 3 and 4. My first few shots were horrible but I slowed things down and got much better results. The feel of these clubs is quite nice. I purchased the stiff steel and really love the light balance of each club. I was able to swing my old knock off 7 iron about 93 mph. When I took the new ones in to have them fit, my swing speed with the adams 7 was 102 mph. From my end the jury has not returned with a verdict yet, on how great these clubs really are. I'm gonna tell you that I liked the feel of them and had a better session at the range tonight with these babies than ever before.

These clubs are great to play with. Really easy to hit and with time you can work the ball with these clubs. A little harder to do with the increased offset but not impossible. These clubs are a joy to hit and can really turn around the game for a mid to high handicap player. Just shot a 74 today with these irons and the Redline driver and fairway woods.

I am a beginner and I need a set of irons that fits me well. After reviewing many product review, I decide to give Adams a try. Even though my swing still needs improving, Adams really helps to keep my ball straight and flying to the right direction. It is so forgiving that I have also purchased the #3, 5 & 7 Adams Redline fairway wood. Believe me, this is a really fantastic clubs for beginner to intermediate.

Irons five through wedge are hard to beat. Very accurate, great feel at impact. However, the three and four iron/woods seem not suited to the set. There is a harshness to the strike with each of these clubs and the four degree gap between each leaves you pining for another iron. I sold the three and four and replaced them with the Taylor Made Mid-Rescue 19 and 22 degree clubs. The Taylor Mades are far superior to those two Adams clubs. Get the Adams five through wedge (I also later purchased the gap wedge, a great club!) and look at the Taylor Mades to round out the set.

My Slovak Cuvac, Dubina (Slovakian mountain herding dog) ate my 13degree Adams ti fairway headcover; called Adams and they sent another without hesitation. Nice folks in customer service.

I have been using Big Bertha irons since about 1998, and recently switched to the Adams Ideas. All I can say is WOW! These clubs are just incredibly forgiving. I think that Adams has perhaps the best engineering staff out there -- you can really feel the club head working for you, both on good shots as well as mis-hits. Speaking of mis-hits, they are almost always straightened out by these clubs. The hybrid-irons (3 & 4) are alot of fun to hit -- much easier than your average 3 and 4 irons. I have found that I am about 1/2 club longer with these than I was with my Big Berthas. So, I'm finding myself with significantly improved accuracy, and a little extra distance to boot. Ok, now the negatives (they're minor): 1. There is a fairly big gap, distance-wise, between the 4 and the 5 irons. The 4 iron is a hybrid, and the 5 is traditional. I find that the 4 goes about 210 - 220 yards for me, and the 5 goes about 190-195. So, I'm struggling with what to do on 200-210 yard shots. For now I'm just keeping my old 4 iron, which is about a 205 club. The other minus, again minor, is that these clubs are SO GOOD at correcting mis-hits, it is a bit harder to shot-shape. If you want to draw or fade a bit, the club tends to correct these subtleties and the shots go straight. So, you really have to be aggresive with the shot shaping. I'm not sure that's even really a negative, but just something worth noting. So in summary, I am extremely happy with these clubs! I feel like I have gotten alot of technology for my money, and have already seen a few strokes come off my score.

Read good reviews and since my 3 wood Tightlies has been very good to me, I traded in my X-12 graphite for Ideas graphite. $462 ($200 trade in + $262). (I should’ve kept it as a back up instead of only $200) . . . Now the Adams Ideas irons. . . they feels very nice. They feel lighter, which translates to increase in my swing speed which results to gain of 10-15 yards. I am hitting these better than the X-12s. Confidence factor with Callaways, I felt the pressure of I have to hit well because these are Callaways. I am more relaxed and having fun which makes me feel better about the departure of my X-12s. 2002 golf technology is very good. Only one potential negative thing I noticed was few days after my purchase, I went back to the same store, and I was talking to a guy in the back room (I was looking to buy back my X-12s which I was told that it was sold the day I traded in), and saw a bunch of Ideas being shipped back. There were about 30 individual irons all different shafts (Senior, Reg, Grapite,Steel) and numbers 3i, 4i, 5, 6 etc. Got me worried. I asked the guy why these are being shipped back? He wouldn’t tell me. . . Any detectives or investigator golfers out there if someone have some time, call (817) 861-6677 and let us know. Thanks. P.S. My prior reviewer paid how much at E-bay? Wow, what a deal!
