Adams Golf GT Irons

Adams Golf GT Irons

DESCRIPTION

From Adams Golf: "The Tight Lies GT Irons offer a revolutionary design bringing together the best of both worlds - the first ever irons that offer the combination of steel and graphite in one shaft. Adams' patented multi-material GT Shaft uses a high-strength, graphite tip that is 50% stronger than steel. This means optimal stability at impact for consistently straighter shots." ...More graphite in the long irons promotes a higher ball flight and greater forgiveness, less in the short irons promotes a lower more controlled trajectory.

I am 14 and I am 4'11" and weigh 80lbs. so yeah I don't hit the ball but 190 yards with my driver so I decided since I can't it long why not get some accurate clubs? The thing I didn't know about these is that they are accurate and acctualy go farther than my other irons, Talormade 320 Seires copies, so these clubs were perfect for me. They added about 10-15 yards to my game and man talk about accurate I hit it on the toe of the club once and it still went as if I hit it perfect on the center of the clubface. So if you are built like me or not and you want more accuracy and distance for a cheap price, these are the irons for you!

The Adams GT irons have to be one of the most forgiving clubs on the market right now. I got a demo set real cheap and these clubs have knocked off at least 5 strokes. I was a 7 handicap player and now I'm almost scratch. These are one of the greatest clubs ever made. I tried out the taylormade 200 series. They were good but they weren't as forgiving as the adams. So now I'm a happy golfer because I chose the cheapest club in the store. I would recommend these clubs to every golfer because it will make you lose strokes. Happy hacking

Not very pretty but they hit great. Long and straight. Feedback is decent for a game improvement club. Good contact produces a solid feel. Toe hits generate quite a bit of vibration. If need be, I can curve the ball left or right. Overswinging the longer clubs will produce a nasty slice, but a smooth swing sends the ball straight and long. I can't tell any real benefit from the multi-material shafts, but if Tom Watson says they work who am I to second guess? I used to play Ping ISI's. I like them a lot, but wanted to try irons a little lighter than Pings to try to generate more clubhead speed. Tried a set of Callaway X-14's and hated them. They were too light. I couldn't feel the clubhead at all during the downswing and they gave no feedback at all. The GT's are somewhere in between. Lighter than the ISI's but heavier than the X-14's. I still have my Pings in the closest, but for now I'm getting much better results with the GT irons.

Customer Service

Great. They've promptly answered every question I've had. Also, I sent the clubs in to have the lie angles adjusted and got them back in less than 2 weeks.

Very nice clubs. I have used a set of cobra knockoffs but decided to try and take advantage of all the iron technology. Since I am in the army my budget wasn't open to really expensive clubs but since I was looking I did try a few other much more expensive sticks. I have to say these provide the biggest bang for the buck. They sound great, look great and the ball flight is awesome. Even when I miss hit them the ball goes the direction it is supposed to and still rolls a long way. The 3 and 4 are a little rough to aim since the top line is thin but a little more attention to set up and everything works great.

I'm 14 and I am 5'3" tall and I wiegh 100 lbs so I don't hit it like most 14 year old bombers. when I was looking for a new iron set I needed some irons with little or no offset and good shafts and relatively easy to hit and oh yea I needed a lot more distance. The very first time I hit a shot with the six iron it went 15 yards farther and way higher stopping immediately about 10 ft away from the driving range target. These irons are very long even if I was an adult. but don't get them cut down, you'll find that having irons that are about an 1.5" too long is a very useful thing. it allows you to hit a 6 iron as far as a 5 and very high if you are at the end of the club.It also helps if you have a downhill lie so you dont have to bend over.very easy to repeat swings with this club so easy to hit for a blade style club. you could almost say the shafts make the club

I did not purchase these clubs but I really appreicate them like I bought them. When they are hit on the sweet spot it feels like a knife slicing through warm butter. These clubs arent the best looking but look pretty stylish. The true temper shaft does not make a big difference to me like I expected. All in All these clubs lowered my game total by a lot!! I recommend them to any mid to high handicaper that needs to lower there score.

This is a great set of irons i realy like them. I switched from a set of taylor made super steel irons, I like the adams better they go farther, straighter, and are a lot easyer to hit. I bought the adams gt 303 driver and liked it alot so I got the 3 and 5 woods, and know the irons. I would recomend them to anyone who want to lower there golf score and have a lot more fun playing this great game of golf. If you are interested I would recomend to get them on ebay, you can save hundereds of dollors on this set

After playing with 35 year old Citation blades, I decided it was time to try something new. I tested a number of clubs from Ping I3's to Costco specials. I decided to go with the Adams GT's for the following reasons: 1. They hit straight and long. An example, I used to hit the 5 iron consistantly 160 yds. Now it's 180 yds and straight. 2. Price- MUCH better than most I tested. 3. Feel-Forgiving but will still let you draw or fade as needed. Since purchasing mine, two friends borrowed them and have since purchased them. Enough said.

Customer Service

Adams is excellent, they promptly returned all my inquiries, although I've had no problems and I hit the range/course three times a week.

Nice iron easy to hit picked up as spare set to travel with. they were too light so i added weight to d3 level and bent them to upright 3 degrees they had a hell of a time bending the upright. The stainless is very stong on these clubes screwed me up at first the short irons was the same as my blades and the mid irons were 10 yards short and need to swing hard to make the long irons go the weight seems to have helped all of that more feel now and hitting them strong will see how it goes
