3 and 5 Woods, Graphite Shaft, R-Flex
I am new to golf - started playing regularly in August - so I have a unique perspective on golf products. It took me a good two months before I was comfortable using woods anywhere but off the tee but once I started using an 18 degree i-wood from Nike (in combination with my Tommy Armour irons), I grew in confidence. At my local range I tried a bunch of woods including Cobra, Titleist, Big Bertha and the V-Steels. Hands down, I liked the Taylormade product best. The address is very nice and feel is superb. The v-shape on the bottom of the club plays very nicely on and off the fairway and the size of the face is surprisingly very easy to hit straight. I now am using woods regularly in situations where they are called for (I used to use my long irons). The shots from the Taylormade V-Steel clubs are generally as straight and certainly longer. It has improved my game by increasing my confidence on those long second shots. And, as we all know, mental confidence is probably as important on the fairways as anything else. My only complaint would be the stock Taylormade grips - but that is only because I prefer the Winn Excel Standard feel over rubber. Even though I got them for free from an office promotion, I certainly would have paid up to $175 each for them - something you can easily find on eBay. V-Steel 3&5
I purchased both the 3 & 5 woods yesterday and I am glad I did !! Thanks to the weird weather here in Iowa it was about 50 out today and I got to go to the driving range. With the 5 wood I for the first time in my short golf endevor hit the ball off the ground about 220 yards without really changing anything I was doing before. While hitting the 3 wood I was very happy also, it was very easy to hit off a tee and off the ground. I went with steel stiff shafts on both on the clubs and both clubs are very dependable, everyone should try either one of these clubs before buying anything else. After hitting these clubs I actually left the driving range feeling good about myself !!! Customer Service Have not had to deal with them yet. Similar Products Used: Quite a few, kinda lost track. |

TaylorMade VSteel 3 and 5 stiff
I was never good at hitting fairway woods (driver included) but it has always amazed me at how easy some people made it look. I've always relied on my long irons and wedges for what I could not do with fairway woods. Well I decided I would have to be good at this, I purchased a VSteel 5 wood after hitting several others at a shop. I did kind of feel that the club itself wasn't going to make a difference. Well, after some practice and a round of golf, I had to buy myself a 3 wood the following week. It is so easy to pick and hit the ball off the turf. Just let the club do its job. The ball does not veer much off its course on miss hits. I hate to say this (and not to brag) but, not only I can hit the ball further off the tee with 3 wood than with my TM 540, but also this past week I out drove most everybody else. I'm not sure, but it may be because I don't have to be too concerned about hitting the ball off course. Not that important but it makes a rather pleasant sound (and also feel) when hit. Great club. |

V-Steel Tour Spoon 13 Degree
put the 13 degree (grafalloy stiff) in the bag yesterday for the first time. the club was solid and really long on my good swings, decently forgiving on poor swings. i also think it's a beautiful clubhead and really sets up nicely. i use the 3 wood off most tees at my course which is short but very tight, so having a 3 wood i can trust is very important to me. Taylor Made V-Steel fairway woods
I am so impressed with these woods. My Callaway Steelheads were looking a bit dog eared so it was time for a change. They are so much more solid than the Steelheads. I'm a slow swinger so I went for the stock R shafts. I get a higher (and straighter) ball flight. I couldn't be happier. They look great and the head covers are nice too. |

V-Steel 7-wood
I bought this club 4 months ago during a holiday in Florida. It's my favourite club in the bag now, very easy to hit and much longer than my previous 7-wood. It's got a high penatrating ball flight which I had to get used to but I love it now. I've got a reasonably slow swing so with the graphite shaft it's perfect for me. I wish I would have bought another fairway wood V-Steel too. Customer Service When buying I already knew that I wanted it. Was disappointed that one salesman didn't want me to try it but another one put some tape on the clubhead and didn't mind my hitting some shots. Similar Products Used: I use a 3- and 5-wood Taylor Made Supersteel which I like very much but I think the V-Steel I like even better, although I didn't try the 3- and 5-woods of V-Steel. |

V Steel 15* 3 wood
I just picked this club up today. I tried it beside a Cobra ss and an Adams from last year. I liked the Cobra, but they only had the offset model. I hit it a bit further than the V, but could not get the Cobra in steel...that being said, the steel stiff shaft is rather whippy. As I only use a 3/4 swing with my fairway woods though, it hits pretty well. On the range I bombed it way past the Adams (which I could never hit anyway), and controlled it better than the Cobra. I'm glad it's in my bag, but I think I'll go with 200's for my 5 and 7 woods...if I can find them. Customer Service Brand NEw...haven't needed it, but heard they have been elusive lately. taylor made v steel 5 wood
Have just come back to playing regular after 5 years so had some new woods. Bought a new 320 driver (very long) and found I needed something shorter from the tee and for 2nd on par 5's.Tried the steelhead3 great wood loads of length then tried the 5 v steel steel shaft similar length but easier to hit off the floor light draw and long off the tee.Have used it on so many par 4's now I forget the driver and settle for a longer iron from the fairway. This is a forgiving wood but I would not say will suit everybody try them all, we all swing differently it suits me. Customer Service ok Similar Products Used: callaway md mizuno |

Taylor Made V Steel 13 degree, Graphite (Stiff)
Great fairway wood! Easy to hit draws and fades. Fairly long as well. Makes a nice "click" on contact with the ball. Sets up perfect. Shaft isn't bad considering that it is a "stock" shaft. May go to a Harrison shaft later. This club gives you confidenc at address. I highly recommend this club, especially for "rippers." |
