I''ve only just bought this club, so I can''t give any on course feedback.... I hadn''t had too much luck with my Cally S''head 4+. The weighting of the club didn''t fit in with the rest of my set. Not badmouthing on Callaway, I play a BBB which still provides faithful service after 4 years. Cutting to the chase, I traded the Cally for the Taylor on feel alone. The weight seemed right with the R80 Rifle, the feel at sweetspot impact felt like my Golfsmith XPC Rough Rider 5+ with Dynalite Gold S300. The rest of the review compares the TM 200 3W R80 steel shaft against the Cally S''head 3W UniSteel shaft.... Please remember these are only my impressions from my 1/2 hour comparison session. Feel. Sweetspot shots seemed less harsh than the Cally. The TM swings a little heavier in overall weight but lighter in swingweight. It could just be me. Looks. The Cally S''headIII is a little deeper than the Taylor, which is a psychological downer for me. Taller face, sweetspot higher on the face, more difficult to get to consistently without submarineing the head.... I intend on hitting this club from the deck, so this is a really important factor. Both clubfaces seemed just as closed as eachother. No major markings on the head and the conservative grey colour helps also. Shot consistency. From the marks on the impact tape, I hit all heel or centre shots using the TM. Shots on the Cally were all over the face. I have no idea why this was so. Probably stems from the different club weightings - and my iffy swing... So far, this club fits my set at this time. It didn''t scream out BUY ME! when I was trying it. It just had what I was looking for. Right look, right weight, right feel. Whether it has the right ballflight is another matter. More feedback when I get back from the range... 15* 3-wood
I agree with Mchenry in that this club is better than what has been stated in past entries. I didn''t want to write a review but felt that this club should earn a better standing. I switched from my 975F 14.5 and I enjoy the TM''s versatility: you can hit it high, low, off the tee, or off the harddeck. In fact, the club is currently the #1 fairway wood on the PGA tour--but the amazing thing is that this club works for everyone. |

3 wood and 5 wood
Great set of woods. They are a great complement to my TM320 9.5 . The 5 wood is 230 yds and stops on a dime. The 3 wood is just as long as the driver. Both are very forgiving and straight. I even like the stock graph. shafts. Both clubs are very easy to hit from the hard pan and also the tall stuff. When I use them from the tee box''s, I don''t even use a tee. There is no special effort needed to make the clubs work, just smack the ball any where on the face and they will be in the fairway. I place them where I would play a 3iron in my set up. No, they do not go 300 yards. Some of you folks need to get real. I few of the reviews I have read really crack me up!!! Most clubs I have used over the years do a good job. The problem is the goober holding the club. Spend a few peso''s and get with an instructor and practice practice practice. (Yes, I have seen you in the tee box wacking away.) Taylor Made 200 FW 7 Wood
Needed a club to replace a 3 iron that isn''''t my favorite. The 7 wood fit the bill and is much friendlier. Get 190 - 200 out of the club with predictable ball flight and easy to work. Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Steelhead Plus, Supersteel |

In checking revies I felt the club got a bad rap. See the Driver reviews for the 200 series in steel. Sort by highest ranking and there is the 200 driver right on top. Buyers need to know that this club performs remarkably, is consistant, long, controlable, and workable. A fine three wood it can be feathered to hold up and slung for about the same total distance as most square driver shots. The price is dead right too. Taylor 4 wood
This club is one of the best fairway woods on the market in my opinion. the 4 wood is very versatile you can choke down and get reasonable 5 wood length out of it. The ballflight is not that piercing it tends to be very high but not balloon like it is nice when you are trying to keep that 210 yard shot to stay on the green. Get it with the rifle shaft and you wont be dissapointed. |

Taylor Made 200 Steel 4 Wood
If you are looking for the best fairway woods around the 200 steel from Taylor Made is it. The four wood is awesome, it comes out with a beautiful ball flight and goes long and straight. If you are serious about your fairway woods go for the rifle steel it is consistent and if you can swing the golf club you will not lose any distance compared to the graphite.
