I bought the 5 wood and I liked it so much I bought the 3 and 7. These are the longest clubs I have hit. The ball jumps off the club face. They look good and sound good. My search for fairway woods is over. I have not written a review for years but I felt I just had to write one about these great clubs. Cobra SZ 7 wood
This is one of the nicest fairway woods I have hit. There isn't as much feeling/feedback as my other favorite, the cleveland launcher, but this is a much easier club to hit. This club wanted to do nothing but go straight and was extremely forgiving. I was testing it against an Adams Gt fairway wood and this thing blew the Adams away. When I was just messing around with the club before I was actually playing I was uncertain how it would perform because I thought the Aldila HM tour stiff shaft would swing like a log. I was incredibly wrong. This thing fit me perfectly. Long, high, and straight. Those three words summarize this club. I got a great deal on it on ebay, as well. This club will not be leaving my bag any time soon. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Adams GT (terrible), Golfsmith XPC, Cleveland Launcher |

Cobra SZ 3 wood graphite R
This is a good looking club. I had been using an Orlimar Trimetal+ but the graphite shaft in that one was very whippy. It said regular, but was very senior. I did like the low profile head on the Orlimar though. The Cobra is just the opposite in that it has a pretty high face. I have trouble hitting this club off the fairway unless it has a really good lie, which is rare. Off the tee, it's a whole lot better. I use it fairly regularly in this capacity and I'm happy with it in that regard. The sound of the steel head hitting a ball is pretty rewarding too. More accomplished golfers could probably do a lot worse than the SZ, but like I said, hitting it off the deck is tough for me. Now that Cobra is making the speed series, these are pretty economical so give one a try and see if it is suited to your game. Customer Service Not used Similar Products Used: Orlimar Tri-metal+ |

Cobra SZ 3 Wood - Stiff Steel
I normally wait until I take a club out to the course before I post a review, but this Cobra SZ is so sweet, I had to post one early. I received it today and took it right out to the range. First let me say that I've NEVER been great at hitting a wood off the deck. So, that said, I have been looking for a wood that I can use to tee off on tight holes, or holes I need to work the ball with more control. I may hit it off the deck if I have a perfect lie and little danger. It is SO easy to work the ball off the tee with this club. I can draw it and fade it on command with surprising control. I haven't yet owned a fairway wood that I could do that with. Look at the list of woods I've used below. They were all OK, but not nearly as easy to hit and work the ball as the Cobra SZ. The added benefit for me was this is one of the few fairway woods that are a D3 swingweight, which I seem to favor. Most graphite shafted ones are D2 or lighter, and steel shafted at D4. Semantics? Sure! But makes me feel better! :-) The sound...hmm...it's OK I guess. A bit "tinny" like the Callaway Steelhead III, but not too bad. Other than that, it is a pleasure to hit this club! This is a very good club for a mid to high handicapper like myself. The ball goes REALLY high when hit well. Because of this you don't lose much distnace on mis-hits, they have a much lower trajectory and roll more. I love hitting the 3 wood of the tee, but it can be a little bit big off really short cut grass. This club is very good out of rough, the best one i tried from longer stuff. Another downside is the off-set, you have to always play a slight fade to get it going straight, and to draw it swing normal. The stock shaft is awsome!!! Overall, this club is a tiny bit better than most in distance, goes very high, and straight if you are thinking about the offset. I would highly reccomend this club to anyone looking for a higher, more consistent ball flight, but if you are a 80 or below, I would advise something else. Customer Service Have not used it yet. I have both the 3 wood and the 5 wood with the stock shaft in a stiff flex. What great clubs! I hit the ball very high and straight. The 3 wood carries about 215 for me, the 5 wood about 200. There is a loud ping upon contact, which you may not like, but I can live with that. My Sonartec 5 wood sounds really solid, but the ball flight is lower and I can't control the distance well, sometimes crunching it 220, other times fluffing it 190. I got the Cobra's to match the 400sz driver. The driver has a closed face and I tend to hook it, so I have retired it. Customer Service No need. Similar Products Used: Sonartec, Callaway Big Bertha |

A really nice fairway wood, easy to use, easy to line up, gives good distance and height, feel nice at impact has a nice weight in your hands. These are the largest steel fairway woods I could find but their black paint work makes them seem smaller, placed behind the ball they look just right to my eye. Impact sensation is nice but not great but these score really highly on ease of use they get up quickly and are heavily draw biased taking the sting out of all but the worst slice, a high handicapper like me can even now and then get a little draw from the fairway I normally expect to fade fairway woods. As others have noted the finish is fragile and prone to chipping off, a shame in an other wise excellent club Similar Products Used: Steelhead, ADAMS GT, TOUR EDGE IRONWOOD, Ping eye |

I purchased these fairway woods, thinking larger volume heads would provide more forgiveness and distance than my Taylor Bubble 2's -- what a mistake! On the range they were straight & 10 yards longer but on the course the Cobras seemed cumbersome and provided numerous fat shots. I used them for 2 ugly rounds with nil improvement & then sold on E-Bay. Another problem was both clubs had paint chips after this brief use & possibly numerous fat shots are to blame, however my old Taylors still look like new after many years of use. I realize I'm the exception to reviewers of this club and all I'd like to emphasize is the importance of testing a club on the range AND during real playing conditions. Customer Service Not used. I'm a 46 year old with a swing speed in the 80's. I bought these clubs because of the demo's I tried, this was the clear winner. Everybody in my foursome agreed with me. It's forgiving, easy to hit, longer and just sounds great every time you hit it. If you are like me looking for a club to try and keep up with the younger, big hitter's in your foursome, this is the one!
