Callaway Steelhead Plus #3
I have tried a variety of 3 woods, but none can match the overall performance of this club. I have hit all of the steelheads and for me the plus is the best. It gives good distance, not necessarily exceptional, but I have a driver for that purpose. I probably hit it 235 yards carry which fits nicely between my driver and 5 wood. The feel at impact is explosive and it really takes off on a medium trajectory (mainly due to the proforce 75 shaft). It is also very accurate and is the club of choice on tight par fours. I think that this is a club that can work for almost all golfers of all abilities. It is still in the bag of a lot of LPGA and PGA tour players for a reason. |

Steelhead Plus Strong 3 Wood - Steel Shaft
I bought this club almost 2 years ago new. If you want a great control club for use as a driver/3 wood there is no better club. The strong 3 wood (13* with steel shaft) is very easy to hit off the tee and very long. The head of the club is compact and looks great. Every time I need to put the ball in play without losing distance this is my choice. I used this club as a driver for many years and constantly hit the ball 220-240 yards straight down the middle. On off center hits ball slightly fades for me. You don't lose many yards of bad hits. This is a very forgiving club. Off the fairway the club is okay, most likely due to the loft of 13*. You can't go wrong with the club and will only improve your game. Perfect club for those players who shoot 85-90 and want to lower their scores by keeping ball in play. Stellhead III fairway wood 3, regular
Well i borrowed this driver from my father and now after a month i really think i know how to handle this one. i can almost say the slower and smoother i play the further the ball goes. i have longer shots with this one than most others with #1 drivers...the accuracy is just perfect. if you hit well, this wood gets all out of your play. if not, its not very forgiving (last but not least because the clubhead is relativley small), but if you are insecure you shouldnt play woods anyway. Id say for good players this is a great one, if not the best... just give it a try ! Customer Service not used, heard its good Similar Products Used: komperdell, taylor made |

Callaway Steelhead 3 Wood
This club is very forgiving. I have the driver, 3 wood, and 5 wood with Memphis 10 shafts and they have helped to lower my handicap. The sound that makes at impact is just beautiful and the trayectory is very nice (not to high neither too low). |

Steelhead Plus 10 Deg. Driver, Reg. Flex
This is the best club that have ever hit with. I am 15 years old, and I have a pretty fast swing, so I wasn't sure about the regular flex, but it worked out very well! At first, I couldn't hit it well at all, but with a few tips from my friend, I was hitting 260 consistantly with one that went 275 plus! I have only had it for a week, but it is a great feeling to start off a hole with this club. I think I'll invest in a 3 wood next. Customer Service None needed Similar Products Used: none |

steelhead plus
this club is incredible. I own the steelhead plus 4+ fairway wood with tour stiff shaft. It plays amazing off the tee. If struck solidly i can easily squeeze 260 off the tee. Off the fairway it is also good, easily able to get 240. I also own a titleist 975j 8.5* driver. Honestly i do not hit it much further than my 4+. |

Callaway Steelhead Plux 3-wood with Uniflex Steel Shaft
This club has the sweetest sweet spot of any club I have ever hit! No need to swing hard with this club - a nice, easy tempo that makes any kind of decent contact will launch the ball a mile. The uniflex steel shaft feels great and the sound of the ball off the clubface is just beautiful. Trajectory is lower than my 10.5* TM200 driver and oveall distance is about the same off the tee. Also gained an average of 20 yards off the fairway over my old 3-wood (Adams TL). No problems out of the light rough, but not nearly as effective out of the thicker stuff as my old Adams TL. The club clearly prefers easy and smooth swings, which are not always possible outside of the fairway. With regard to accuracy, I found the club very forgiving. I usually have problems with slicing, but this club seems to turn these mistakes into straight pushes to the right with minimal loss of distance. I've played about 6 rounds with it now, and have yet to lose a ball after hitting this club. For me, that's a big improvement in forgiveness. I like this club so much I've picked up the matching driver to test against my TM200. Customer Service Never had to use it Similar Products Used: Adams Original Tight Lies, Spalding Pro Impact |

Callaway Steelhead III 3 wood
This is one of the best feeling 3 woods that I have ever used. The ball comes off the face very hott, with great feel. The only real complaint I have with it is the callaway shaft. I have the firm and if you are like me with a 115 mph+ swing you are going to hook it more than you hit it straight. I am going to trash the callaway shaft and try a EI-70 X-stiff and hopefully hit it straight.... Similar Products Used: Adams tight lies Tour Head, Taylor made, Mizuno, Cleveland Quad Pro |

REissue Callaway Steelhead
I purchased the reissued 10 degree steelhead driver and 5 wood from golfsmith a month ago, They looked to me like the steelhead plus with a grey paint job. I called callaway and they confirmed this. They tumbled the steelhead plus heads and redid the sole lettering and viola....a reissued steelhead. Driver is ok if I really baby it. I have to feel like I'm swinging half speed to get it to feel decent, 5 wood is awesome, it looks a little small at first but damn, it just freaking smokes the ball, I just bought a steelhead + strong 3 and will be interested to see how well it hits. Driver just doesnt' have the pop of the fairway woods. Any body looking to match up a set of these reissed steelheads can do so with steelhead + woods as they are one in the same. Customer Service Callaway was very helpful and knowledgeable about the reissued clubs |

steelhead plus 10 degree driver
I began by reading reviews on this site about this driver. There was alot of good that pursuaded me to try it. There was also some bad that caught my attention. After purchasing the club my results are: This club loves a 2-piece distance ball. I more than tripled my accuracy and gained 20 to 30 yds distance from my old driver. No, my old driver isn't a 50's Nicklaus model, it's a Callaway VFT that has been reshafted a couple of times in search of accuracy. After 2 years with this to no avail it was time for change. The Steelhead Plus with Uniflex steel shaft is the answer for me. All naysayers with anything else, I say bring it on. I may not be a scratch golfer but I sure drive 'em like one!! Thanks Callaway Customer Service My club was here a half day before they said it would. That's a great mis-prediction Similar Products Used: TaylorMade 360, Callaway Hawkeye VFT |
