I bought this club after extensive testing on the range with highly satisfactory results. I am not the most consistent striker of the ball but I certainly feel this club gives me the additional confidence required to hit straighter more often. The true test came on the course and I am very impressed - not only did I hit the ball straight but I was able to hit 20 yards further than ever before. Great sound when you strike the ball! Callaway Steelhead Plus 5 Wood w/ graphite shaft
Before I got the Steelhead+, I was hitting the War Bird 5 wood off the tee 170-180 yds. Now I'm 190-200 yds. off the tee and I'm not a big guy (5'9" 155 lbs.). I'm only playing about a year and find these clubs very forgiving. Even when I fail to hit the ball dead center my ball still travels 190 yds. in the fairway. And when you do hit the sweet spot... loook out!!! They sound & feel awesome. And they are beautiful to look at from address. There are very good reasons why the pros use these woods & even more reasons why you should to, no matter what your skill level is. However, I do recommend you try everything first because no one club is for everyone. Furthermore, the price is very reasonable compared to the titanium woods selling out there for $399. Believe me the titanium will not do you very much if anything at all. The Callaway Steelhead+ is a real winner for all the above reasons. You will not be disappointed. Customer Service Callaway customer Service is the best. They are very quick in returning repaired clubs. They always honor their warranty above & beyond what is required. It is a real pleasure to deal with them. Similar Products Used: Callaway War Bird, Ping TSI, TM Super Steel, Titleist, Adams Tight Lies |

Callaway Steelhead Plus 3 Wood
Before I got the Steelhead+, I was hitting the War Bird 3 wood off the tee 230 yds. Now I'm 260 yds. off the tee and I'm not a big guy (5'9" 155 lbs.). I'm only playing about a year and find these clubs very forgiving. Even when I fail to hit the ball dead center my ball still travels 200-210 yds. in the fairway. This is the greatest 5 wood I've tried so far. I can rip it. I can almost hit it as far as my Titleist 975D driver. Today I went out and drove it 275 yards. That may sound unbelieveable but it's true. I hit it a few yards past the 254 yd marker on a 526 yd par 5. Then I hit it on the green. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could go 5 wood 5 wood into a 500 yd + par 5. It wouldn't be possible without this club. It's great. I would recommend it to anyone. Very forgiving. I love it. Similar Products Used: None |

CALLAWAY STEELHEAD DRIVER
CLUBS ARE GREAT, I HAVE A VERY POWERFUL SWING SO I HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE FINDING A GOOD FORGIVING, STRONG CLUB. BUT ONE SUNNY MORNING MY LOCAL PROFESSIONAL SAID "AVE A GO WITH THIS MATE", SO I DID, I WAS A BIT WORRIED AT FIRST AS I HAVE BROKEN 2 DRIVERS ALREADY, BUT I SOON REALISED THAT THE CLUB WAS A BEAST!!, I USUALLY HIT THE BALL 300+ (ON A GOOD DAY), BUT WITH THIS CLUB I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SLOW MY SWING DOWN AND GET MORE CONTROL OVER THE BALL, STILL GETTING THE DISTANCE. A very forgiving club giving great distance off the tee. Also good from the fairway, but tends to slice the ball rather more. Unfortunately the club wears away fairly quickly and looks unattractive at address. i hate buying clubs in England because you Americans get them so much cheaper! Similar Products Used: None |

UNBELIEVABLE, I simply just pound this club. I would say I average at least 280 yards on my tee shots and on mis-hits about 260, I would only recommend this club to a player because if your anything but you'll be struggling. Last weekend I blew my playing partners away after I mashed my tee shot 290 yards off the tee. Similar Products Used: Recommend the pro-force 65 shaft, it will improve your game dramatically by at least 6-8 strokes. |

This club is great when hit on the sweet spot, but not forgiving as I would like. The slighest heel is a very disgusting ball flight, same with a toe. This club does not set up good and I do not like the turtle shaped head. I hit a straight ball, but I hook the ball a lot with this club, and because of this I feel more confident I can hit my Ping driver straighter so therefore there is no need for this club in my bag.
