The Steelhead is a wonderful club. For the low handicapper it offers a confident looking club a smaller head and a wonderful feel. For the higher handicapper it gets the ball airborne, and has a very soft feel.

This is the best Callaway driver I have used. It is Straighter and longer than the Steelhead. The ball just explodes off the face. I actually like the metal face, its more helpful when setting up and with alignment. And the shaft is the best from Callaway. I am spending more time in the fairways and grabbing my 8 and 9 irons more than my 5 and 6 irons,

Customer Service

I caved in the head of my Steelhead driver twice and both times Callaway was prompt in replacing the club. Great customer service

I decided to take advantage of the release of the new Steelhead Plus by demoing the orginal Steelhead. Prices have come down significantly, making this club look like a bargain.

The club has turned out to be a real performer. It offers the best combination of performance off the tee and off the deck of any 3 wood I have tried in recent years. I get good consistent distances and accuracy. It is nice to have a go to club in the bag for a tight driving hole.

Club has served it's purpose. If you try to "grip it and rip it" the ball won't go as long and you lose control. If you hit it with a smooth swing you will hit it really straight (if you can hit it straight) and pretty long.

this club is ok as long as you dont have an aggresive swing, and the ball has to be teed up high to get the correct trajectory. You can now by this product for under 200 dollars so it is a pretty good value as long as you don't have an aggresive swing.Get out thert and try it for yourself.

I just tried this driver for a couple of rounds of golf, and found that as long as you aren't trying to over swing the club it truly does add an extra 10 to 15 yards to each drive and is also a very consistant club. I didn't have a problem of spraying the ball all over the place. Only thing I had to learn was to keep my swing speed down and tee the ball a little lower than usual.

The best damn club on the market. Only wish I could putt with it. Love the feel (replace the grip with a Winn 5c), the sound is fantastic and off the fairway it can't be beat. For doglegs or short pars...great of the tee.

Customer Service

Callaway by far has top notch service. Called once and was very pleased with response.

Got the steelehead driver at the beginning of this season and went from a poor driver of the ball to a good one. Really forgiving and really long. Great trajectory. I was so happy, I pushed aside my beloved Adams Tight Lies and bought the Steelhead Plus 4+ fairway wood. This club is the greatest. I hit absolute rockets with it. Shots look like a jet taking off, fly far and land soft. Got both clubs with the M-10 steel shaft. Head isn't really big, but if can hit it anywhere on the face, you'll get a good shot. Expensive, but worth it.

I had been using a Callaway Hawkeye with a regular shaft and found that I could hit it far but usually sliced it. I bought the Steelhead Plus 3 Wood with a strong flex shaft. My slice is gone and I am able to hit the fairway almost everytime! The 'ping' from a well hit ball is very satisfying!

Since I play with offset irons, it took me a while to realize that my hands have to be in front of the clubhead at address to keep it square. Once that happened, magic happened. Great feel, sound at hit. In the pacific northwest, because of all our rain, the rough is tough, compared to the so. cal. and the southwest. These clubs get through it.
