I have tried almost all of the hybrids... with the exception of the Sonartec. This Callaway is one sweet stick, certainly the best of the hybrids... great balance, has some swing weight, most are too light IMO, firm graphite is a good shaft. Has a high launch, lands soft, very easy to hit off tee or fairway. Finally found a hybrid that will stay in the bag!

Customer Service

Callaway is top notch.

I just kill the ball off the tee or in the fairway. Consistently straight for about 250 off the tee and can airmail it about 230-240 off the fairway. Super club that takes off like a rocket. If I'm spraying the driver I can use this instead and just about always straight and I can work it either way if needed.

Model Reviewed: Callaway Heavenwood 1H Graphite Strong

Been golfing for about 16 months now and have fairly content with my BB Steelhead 3W using it off the tee or the fairway. But I wanted the same control and feel I get from hitting my 3i for the longer shots. I got the 1H free with the Callaway X460 and offered me the chance to replace my 3w. I had a problem in the beginning trying to hit it like my 3w, obviously I tried to hit it like my 3i and I got tremendous results. I took my 3w and replaced it with the 1H for the first time and was nervous because I play fairly well with the 3w. First 6 holes I was hesitant to use it until I got to a 570 yard par 5, Got a 290 yard drive and hit 260 with the 1H, about 25 yards more than my 3w which left me a pitch onto the green. Needless to say the 1H sent me to heaven.

i went to the local golf store looking for a hybrid because the longest iron i can hit is my 4 iron, and that goes about 200 yards so i never have anything to advance the ball a lot on long par 5's
so i went there having known to try the heavenwood and several other hybrids
the heavenwood was the first and last one that i hit...it had such a good feel and the ball just jumped off the clubface

took it to the range and with the crappy range balls i was consistently hitting my draw about 210 yards dead straight
so to anybody looking for a hybrid that's easy to hit off the deck, (it's really hard to hit off of a tee, no matter how high/low it is) make sure that you check out the heaven wood

it wasn't the cheapest of the hybrids i was going to try, but it CERTAINLY wasn't the most expensive

I have not carried a 3 iron for 2+ years and have not been happy with either choking down my Steelhead III 7 wood, or my 4 iron so I jumped on the hybrid wagon and bought a Heavenwood 4h. It is has been worthless to me and a waste of my money. The club looks and feels good, I just cannot hit it as my swing does not seem to match.

I am a loyal Callaway fan, but even though I was not steady with what I wanted to replace, even that is better than the Heavenwood for me. I hope others do better.

Model Reviewed: Heavenwood 4h and 2h

As a player who hits it the 90s , I've tried a lot of clubs trying to break into the 80's. I purchased the 4h and 2h w/ steel shafts off of ebay. After some work at the range I felt VERY comfortable with the 4h. Easy 200+ yd shots. The 2h was much more difficult to get it to go straight - when it did, I felt it had the same distance as the 4h. My first two rounds with the 4h (only the 4, left the 2 at home) were outstanding! I broke into the high 80s both times. I feel there is no need for more than one utility club like this so the 2h is going back on ebay...

I recently purchased this club, and I will never carry a 3 or 4 iron again. This club plays about 200 yards for me with a nice high flight that lands soft. It gets out of the ruff well. The clubs seems very forgiving and has a draw bias to help elemenate the slice.

I picked this up at 2nd Swing as I was looking for a little more distance out of the fairway and can't hit a regular 5 wood to save my life. The club is straight, that much I'll admit. But, I'm getting more distance out of my 22 degree Snake Eyes hybird than this club. Kinda disappointed in that. I also bought a Big Bertha II 3 wood and actually hit it quite well off the deck. I'm going to keep working at this club, but if I don't make progress soon, I may just try and find the Big Bertha II in a 5 wood and trade it in.

Customer Service

2nd Swing is ok. I prefer to shop at golfsmith though.

I tested the Taylor Made Rescue Mid and the Cobra Baffler. I liked the feel of the Heavenwood the best, but now I'm not sure I made the right choice.

Model Reviewed: Callaway heavenwood 4H 23 degree

Edwin Watts had a tent sale this past weekend and as I always do I went hoping to find a good deal on some kind of club..To my surprise I found a 4H 23 degree Heavenwood with the stock RCH shaft for $99..I have been looking for a utility wood that would replace my long irons and in this club I felt I found the solution. In the past I had tried out the Taylormade Rescue Mid but found myself constantly pushing my shots so I ended up trading it in after a couple of months. So, being one who loves to experiment with new clubs I decided to give the Heavenwood a try and at half the price! Well to my surprise..when I took it out to the range that afternoon I found this club very easy to hit with a medium to high trajectory and fairly soft landings..in my excitement I could not wait to try it out in a round and fortunately I was playing the following day..During my round I was amazed at how well I was hitting my approach shots and what was even better was how well this club did on the longer par 3s! For a hybrid I found this club to be a superb solution to my long iron woes! A much better club than the Taylormade Rescue Mid in my opinion and very easy to hit! If you are looking to improve your approach shots within 180 to 220 yds this is the club to go for!

I bought my first 3h with golftown with stock RCH firm shaft. This club lines up well and gives me confidence for 220yd. I cannot seem to work draw the ball with this club (draw is my natural shot). This club just flies straight with a slight fade at the end. When I try the fade, it works very well. After 5 rounds with 3h, I bought 2h on ebay with YS-6 stiff shaft. I am able to work the ball any direction but at a lower-mid trajectory. Both clubs feels solid with a characteristic callaway 'ping'. If you like to draw the ball, ditch the stock shaft and get yourself something better, the stock shaft is too soft for to work the ball consistently. I'm going to put a NV hybrid or a fujikura banzai on my 3h soon.
