Excellent club. It's the only club to still be in my bag after three years. Gets the ball in the air quickly and has solid feel. Its as straight as any club but not quite as long as high cor woods. I have never considered replacing it. I hit it about 240. It can be hit high or punched low. THey're cheap now. A good addition to your bag. Adams Tight Lies Strong 5
A joy to hit from the fairway but not from sticky rough where the club tends to bury itself. Nice to use from the tee on long par threes against the wind using the wind for brakes on the green since the club does not allow for much working the ball up or down. All this being said, I think I'm going for a Cobra SS five wood as it just feels more comfortable to me. Customer Service No reason to use. Similar Products Used: Cobra SS five wood |

Since these are older models now, I got them with a 50% discount: That’s a bargain ! I have a bad habit of always ending up buying clubs – many of which I regret. But these Adams have become my favorite fairway woods. My Quadpros (and several others) are degraded ! They are very(!) easy to hit, straight, have a nice (soft) feel and the lenght is OK. If you run into some of these; it is strongly recommended to pick one up – you might be just as surpriced as me ... Similar Products Used: Cleveland Quadpro, Ping i3, ++ |

Adams Tight Lies Original 16° (Strong 4)
This is the greatest addition I''ve ever made to my bag. This club is long, straight, and instills confidence in my shots. I can basically play my entire home course with this club, a 7 iron and my putter (I sometimes wonder why I bring the other 11 clubs with me). I credit this club the most with helping me get my game down from well over 100 to flirting with the 90''s! Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Wilson Ultra 15.5° 3 wood |

None I have tried a few different fairway woods before including some of the golf''s hottest names. But none can hit like the Adam. Everything they claim about its perfoemance are true and accurate. I am absolutely delighted about it. I have just placed the order for a 3 - 13* and another 5 - 19*. Both Tight Lie 2 series. I can''t wait to see how those will perform. None I have had this club about 3 years. It works great. From the tee, keep it a ow as possible. From a tight lie or moderate rought in the fairway, it is great. It may not be as long as some other clubs but it is straight, both off the tee and in the fairway. Bought a Tight Lies 2 Strong 5 about 2 months ago. Looking forward to using that one more as well. Customer Service Face of Original Tight Lies chipped quite quickly. Their customer service told me how to fix it myself. I expected more from them! Similar Products Used: Orlimar, Cleveland |

Weakness:
None Outstanding club for the high handicapper. If you "stay within yourself" during your swing, as so many higher handicap players try to do, this club will be your new "second-shot" best friend. Disciplined hands thru the swing are a must, as laziness will reward you with a REALLY right (bordering on a shank) shot, but all in all a very forgiving & rewarding club. Of particular notice is how well the club responds to the "ground behind the ball" thing. On these type of mis-hits, you feel the club hit the ground, then your ball, & still get a very straight shot with some decent distance (180ish), considering how bad you hit it. These clubs are a love/hate relationship. On the fairway they hit consistently and straight, but if you're laying down in the grass, stick to the long irons. For a beginner like me they play with control and feel. Just have to remember to tee it lower with the 3W. |
