Pers data: 5-9 1/2, 175 lbs, driver ss ~ 100 mph, index ~18 Club: 9* head, XLT 70 stiff Bottom line, I love this stick. Drives have a middle to boring trajectory, with lots of roll. I feel that with practice I could work the ball either way, which I have never felt confident in trying before. Sets up square, but feels like it prefers to pull the ball rather than my usual slice. Distance is vey good, for me at least. It does not feel "hot", only solid. Sound is a muted "ping" rather than a high pitched one found in many new oversize heads. The XLT70 stiff shaft: Very stable. Loads up well and releases nicely through the ball. Looks great with this club as well. All in all, a terrific package and well worth it. John has built a helluva product and |I reccommend it without reservation.

Model Reviewed: Maxima 330 11*

I had heard much about ZT golf So I decided to give them a try. I am an 11 handicap with a wirey build and a smooth tempo. My current swing speed is around 90 mph with a driver. I tend to hit a lower ball trajectory with my driver so I opted for the 11* model with a square face outfitted with a regular flex ZT slt60 shaft with 3.6* of torque and a final driver length of 44.5 inches with a D2 swingweight. My first impressions of this driver were very good the fit and finish on both the driver and the shaft just make you want to like this driver. In addition the driver head looks much smaller at adress than 330 cc this is because most of the drivers girth is in the face depth. My initial range session with this driver was positive although the driver seemed a bit inconsistant in my hands. For my second range test I used longer tees and all I can say is wow. With an easy swing this driver was putting out some very long drives (for me anyway) in the 240-255 range. The drivers trajectory was very high with alot of carry and little to moderate roll. The trajectory is moderately high which is good for alot of the courses I play. On the course this driver continued to amaze me with its long consistant fairway finding drives. Overall this driver is probably the best I have tried and is definately in the bag for quite some time. In the last year I have tried aproximately 15 different drivers and none of them fit my swing as well as the ZT golf Maxima 330.

I'm an 18 handicap, but better with woods than irons. Set-up: 45" with the ZT XLT-70 graphite shaft in regular flex. 9*. Appearance: Conservatively gorgeous. Deep blue metallic finish, with shiny face and sole. The driver looks smaller than it is, due to a very deep face. Feel: Crisp in both feel and sound. It's a lively feel in both steel and graphite. Distance: Absolutely excellent, even on off-center hits. Ball flight is fairly high, but definitely does not balloon into the wind. Forgiveness and Accuracy: The clubhead is extremely forgiving, though I have had an easier time dialing it in on the range than on the course (both versions). I can miss in either direction, but feel very confident at address.

Summary: Player Summary: 45yo 12 Hcp Driver Swingspeed 101-104 6' 0" After seeing positive reviews of Zero Tolerance Products at this site and at Golfclubreview.com, I decided to build a driver with a ZT head. I built the club with a Precision Rifle 6.0 85 gram graphite shaft. The head weight was 201 gm and this allowed an ideal D3 swingweight at my preferred length of 44". I have had very little success with 45" drivers. I have played 10 weeks with this club. I wanted a 300-330 cc head for forgiveness, but did not want a head that looks huge at address. The Maxima 330 works out extremely well in this regard--It has a tall face but is not huge in the dimensions you see at address. Head shape reminds me of Cleveland Launcher. Finish and cosmetics are excellent, (equal or better than any other driver I have seen) and non painted sole plate will look good for a long time. The beta ti face is grooveless in the center and resists scratching. I can see faint dimple marks on the surface after most drives giving me built-in impact tape. I have found the driver to be very forgiving on off center hits. Some distance is lost, but off center impacts often find the fairway or first cut. I have had good success hitting intentional fades and draws with this club. The club/shaft combination feels great and I definitely prefer it to the Dynacraft/Prolite 35 combo I had used in the past. I am not good at describing sounds, but this one is very pleasing at impact. Distance with the 44" shaft has been quite good. I have not used any OEM drivers for comparison. My well struck drives carry about 250 with this club and sub 500 yard par-5's are within range with a good drive. Ball trajectory is medium low. Balls hit below the equator of the face will have a low trajectory and lose a little carry, but roll a long way. Balls hit above the equator have a nice boring trajectory with no balooning. I have not tried from fairway, but would not expect much given the design. Club is staying in the bag Customer Service: excellent. Owner will discuss proper specs by email or phone Similar Products Used: Dynacraft Dynaflex 300--long, but painted sole plate looks ugly in a hurry.

Great driver -- long and easy to control. Feel is teriffic, and sound is muted for an oversize beta titanium head. I have hit many 340-yard + drives with this driver (and all but one found the fairway). The detail and finish on the entire Zero Tolerance line is superb, and their XLT-70 shaft is excellent for hard swingers and golfers with a fast tempo.

Customer Service

The Best -- period!

I was very impressed with the cosmetics and quality of the fit and finish. I'd have to say it's as good as any OEM product I've seen. The first thing I thought to myself was this thing is big. And that's coming from a guy that's been playing a Ping TiSI for the last 2 years. The face a lot deeper than my Pig and even the though the Maxima is only 7cc larger than the Ping, it appears much bigger due to the deep face. My first swing with the Maxima made me think, wow this club feels lively. It has a nice sound to it and a nice solid feel to it, even more solid feeling than the Ping...I like it. Definitely feels as good as any driver I've ever had including my Ping and Callaway GBB I had prior to the Maxima. I highly recommend the ZTgolf Maxima drivers to anyone. They are solid, great looking, and great performing drivers that can stand up to any driver on the market at any price.

Myself- Age 32, 5'9", 195 lbs. Handicap- Index=?, shoots in the high 80's-low 90's Swing Characteristic= Fast tempo, somewhat aggressive, ss=approximately 110 mph. Typical ball flight is a high trajectory sometimes straight, sometimes a slight fade. My Maxima 330= 0.5* closed face, 8* loft with Rifle 6.0 steel shaft @ 44", Lamkin Crossline Soft Cord grip. Appearance: Stunning. A beautiful blue. Doesn't appear gaudy or too big, but definitely confidence inspiring. Most of the volume comes from the deep face. Quality, fit, and finish are second to none (O.E.M. or component). The gold alignment mark on the crown was never a problem for me. In fact, I like it. Performance: Before ever hitting a single ball, I noticed that the club had a great dynamic feel. During practice swings, I could really feel the weight of the head. I was able to track the head throughout the entire swing. Because of this I found it a little easier to hit a draw (something that I usually have to work a little harder for). I'm not implying that this club is draw biased, I was still able to hit my normal flight pattern. The trajectory is a little higher than some, but not in a negative way. The ball soared, or even had a high boring (if that makes any sense)flight, but never ballooned. Even with a higher flight, roll was perfectly acceptable. The Maxima 330, (and I hate to sound cliche'), is one of the longest I have tried. With that being said, it is definitely the most consistent and forgiving, two very important attributes to be considered in conjunction with distance. Feel & Sound: The Maxima 330's feel at impact is very solid and with substance, almost a "deep" sort of feel, yet still maintains a "hot" feel. Perfect! The sound is not very "tingy" sounding, but there is some metal high pitched ring to it. In all honesty I believe that what little ting sound that I hear is actually the club head clipping the tee. I was very pleased with this club's performance and John at Zero Tolerance. Exceptional customer service and John's response to e-mails and courteous phone conversations will definitely have me doing business with Zero Tolerance again. And Yes, this club is definitely in the bag, unseating my perfectly good Ping i3 9* diver. Customer Service: Excellent. John is the best. DETAILS OF ME: I'm 47, weight (too big, but on its way down) 5'11" height, and a large build. Been spending 3 days the week at a gym for the first time in my life, arms, legs, and forearms stronger than ever, actually in better shape that I have been in years. Current hdcp index 14.8, swingspeed is 97 mph, and play a soft fade. CLUB SPECS: Crown Jewel Maxima 330, has a 9* loft, XLT70 Stiff shaft, 45" length, with a softie type grip as installed by ZT Golf CLUB APPEARANCE: Very traditional looking club. This club has a deep face that accounts for the 330cc head size, so the club doesn't look that big at address. Cobalt Blue metallic paint job, that is as nice or better than any OEM out there. Gold shaped "C" on the crown for alignment. The XLT70 shaft is a dark blue that matches the head. This is a very attractive club that makes you want to hit it well. PERFORMANCE: While I haven't had all of the opportunity to hit it as much as I would have liked due to work, home responsibilities and weather not cooperating my report for performance is as follows. On the range this club gave me the ball flight I have been looking for. A tight line drive that appeared to deliver much more roll than I am accustomed to. On the course I received much different results that I attribute to painting in my house for 10+ hours the day before. The tight line drives were replaced by weak pushed and a couple of slices that bordered on being banana balls. I hope to play this Saturday May 4th and hope to receive the same results I had at the driving range. I will send you hopefully better course results after this weekend. FEEL: On the range I really liked the XLT70 shaft. This head and shaft combo is excellent. Driving is one area of my game that I normally do not have any trouble with, I consider myself to be long and straight enough so I hit the driver as many times as possible in a typical round of golf. At impact the sound of this driver has a nice "ring". In fact based upon what I have read from others at H&E it wasn't as loud as I expected. WILL THIS CLUB STAY IN THE BAG? If the swing that I had at the range returns, (it better otherwise I will hire a painter the next time my house needs done), this club has the potential to displace my current driver. My current driver is an old King Cobra Ti, 10.5* with the factory stiff Cobra sh

Club: Zero Tolerance Crown Jewel Maxima 330, 9 degrees, with reg flex ZT XLT70 shaft at 45" Me: Average score between 87-92: low this season 83, high this season 100. Swingspeed with driver is low, about 90 MPH. Looks: As has often been stated, this club is the equal of any OEM design in looks and quality. This is especially true with the matching XLT70 shaft. I like the deep face. It does not look to be the size of the TiSi at address--much of the volume is in the face depth. I prefer smaller driver heads (300 cc's or so) and I'm not put off by this one. Put me on the side of those who think the alignment chevron is a little big for the club head, but I have to admit it's effective in aligning correctly. Feel: Sweet, sweet feel at contact, particularly if hit higher on the face. It is somewhere between the Taylor Made 300 and the TM 320--you can feel some give at impact, but it's never squishy like the bigger Taylor Mades, and it's never harsh like a Titleist. It's a great, solid but powerful feeling club at impact. Flight: I get a good, boring trajectory from this club. It carries plenty high enough for me at 9 degrees but is never is danger of ballooning. The launch angle seems medium-high. Good run upon landing. Compared to my 8.5 degree Taylor Made 300, I get more carry and less run with the ZTCJM330 (as I have come to refer to it :D). As far as side-to-side flight goes, this club does not seem to have a bias. However, I have some trouble turning this club over (drawing the ball). This has something to do with my swing, but for comparison I draw my 8.5 TM300 with PF75 stiff just fine. I hooked the 9.5 TM320 Tour with a PF65 stiff so badly that I sold it. My guess is that the XLT70 shafts play a little taut for their indicated flex and torque ratings. BUT, I added three long strips of lead tape to the inside sole of this club. When I close my stance a bit and set up for a draw, I get a long, strong flight from the club with just a tad of draw. I'm willing to change my setup to do this with a driver. My misses tend to be of the left-to-right variety, so setting up to take out the right side is not a bad idea. Distance: I am not a long ball hitter. Today, I was consistently put me out there with two guys who generate more speed than I do. I was making good contact, and still I resisted the urge to tee it up super high as has been suggested h

Basics: I got a 9* head that is 1* closed on a ProForce 65 regular shaft trimmed to firm. The club is 45" long with a Winn grip. APPEARANCE - This head is gorgeous -- a real work of clubmaking beauty. And even though it is 330cc it does not look that big at address. In fact the size is such that it gave me a very confident feel from the first time I teed it up. FEEL/SOUND - The only word to describe it is solid. Even hits off the toe are not harsh. There is plenty of feed back but it doesn''t diminish your confidence. DISTANCE - This driver is easily 20+ yards longer than other drivers I have used. I usually have a high ball flight, but with this club the trajectory was more boring. I was routinely hitting it 245+ on solid hits according to the driving range markers. FORGIVENESS - This club is very forgiving. I have to admit to hating to hit the driver in the past. I never could seem to find a club that I felt confident with. Not so with the 330. It is just hard to hit it really bad. Overall: I fell in love with this thing from the very beginning. It''s definitely a keeper for me.

Customer Service
