Well when I got this first (about 6 months ago) I went to the range & naively tried to start murdering the ball eager to compare my new purchase against my previous personal best distance & accuracy drives. I was wrong...on two fronts. As a previous reviewer(s) mentioned, the best place to test drive it is on the course & swinging with controlled smooth force. Poetry in motion. The Deep Red likes it when you do that & will reward you handsomely with buckets of distance & accuracy - for once Believe the Hype... I naturally like to hit the ball hard, but I sometimes have difficulty reminding my subconscious that I don''t need to with this club - all you have to really concentrate on is making nice contact. Toe hits are great - very straight & no real distance loss.... Heel hits don''t feel or result as good - but are still "good" relatively speaking (I''ve sometimes drift into a habit of cutting my swing & making contact with the heel, but cuts turn into power fades), but when you hit this dead on - I think there is no better feeling in golf (besides sinking an eagle putt maybe!).... Hey Mr. Wilson offer me a sales position! - so many people I played with have been asking me about this driver...( I play almost 7 days a week here in Ireland ) When I got it first I was hitting roughly 265 - same as one of my playing partners. Now I''m used to it (& it did take a few weeks) I routinely hit it( on a level fairway 285-295). Best hit was 340 on a level fairway with some wind assistance & yes it did stay on the fairway.....shame about the chip that followed... You may have guessed - I like this driver. (p.s. the stiff flex is probably more firm than stiff. Wilson are introducing a Tour flex I think, which I think I would go for)

Customer Service

Potentially excellent - I scratched some paint off head with crap range balls when I got it first - there''s a one year warranty. I contacted Wilson & they offered to send me a replacement, if I sent

I have had this club for about one year. I absolutely love it! I am a 14 handicap golfer who hits the ball far enough to be more interested in accuracty than ten extra yards. This club treats you right. Accuracy is twenty times better than any other driver I have hit. You don''t need to swing hard with this club. In fact, you are penalized if you do. Nice smooth easy swing and you will be in the fairway or the short rough. This is the perfect club for the 12 - 20 handicapper. Very forgiving and good distance. I''m in the fairway a lot, which helps my game tremendously. I did buy the regular flex shaft but I am about to send it back to Wilson to get a stiff shaft put in. I will hopefully get a little more distance with that and increased accuracy. By the way, this is a beautiful club.

Customer Service

So far, so good. I''ll let you know after the re-shafting.

I owned a Purespin XXL, which I was pretty happy with, but I broke it. So I was shopping for another driver. I was reading the reviews here and decided to go demo it. I was impressed. But even more so, the people around me at the driving range were impressed too. Extremely long and extremely straight. I was used to the fat shaft system with my Purespin, so this club felt right at home in my hands, but this club is better than the Purespin, lighter, more balanced and more forgiving. Worth every penny.

This club is amazing. i just bought this club yesturday. It was going for 500$ 450 on special, but i got a demo club which save me 100 dollars tax in. I went to the range twice today. At first it was kinda hard to get used to. my shots were simply hooking to the left. (i''''m a lefty). Tonight, i went back, and out of a whole bucket, i got atleast 20-30 beauties. even when i didn''''t hit it properly the ball went over 250. My longest of the day, was most probably around 300 yards straight. If you hit it properly, u won''''t regret paying the money for it. Distance on this club is just amazing, i just got to learn how to control my strength on the swing to get more consistency. Very good, actually amazing for the price. Best driver i have ever tried

This Club is by far the best I have ever hit!!! I was at a demo day in NH and hit just about everything there, and the last one I tried was the 365cc Deep Red Stiff shaft. At first I did not like the look, it looks kinda pretty, but I hit that ball perfectly straight 28-30 times. I normally hit around 250-265? I hit it about 15-20 yards longer with this BOMB BAT!! BUY IT IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE FAIRWAY!!!!

Customer Service

Great reps at the demo day very helpfull

Never underestimate testing a club under real playing conditions. Took this club to the range and was not that impressed one way or the other. Took it out to the course on a day when I could hit several practice balls from various tee boxes. The feel of this club is different... Once you get used to the unusual feel, it can absolutely change your game. The shafts are a bit softer, if you swing out of your shoes you will suffer. However, I can assure you, if you adopt a smooth controlled swing you WILL be more accurate. Length is not a problem. Trajectory: ideal in 9* (bores to a reasonable height and begins controlled descent). Once you get used to it, the entire face seems to be the sweet spot. Give the DR a chance and it''ll be in your bag for a long time.

I had originally demo''''''''d the 365 and was supremely impressed, however the chance to pick up the 305cc at a cheap price swayed my decision. The correction the club has on mis-hits, particularly toe hits, drawing them back is very impressive. I normally have issues with a hook, and it has been exhibiting itself with this club however i believe the fault is mine. not sure if the face is closed to any degree but will check more thoroughly in future. Wish club dealers didn''''''''t build in ''''''''anti-slice'''''''' tech all the time, some of do have draw/hooks! Letting the club do the work with a smoother swing is starting to result in much better results in terms of trajectory and accuracy. the deeper face called for some adjustment from my previous driver, namely needing to tee it higher. Excellent appearance, wonderful light feel and the shaft through impact feel solid. Sound is a bit more muted, but at least it''''''''s not as loud as the deep red woods! I''''''''ll keep it for the time being and it''''''''s a great club and very handsome addition to da bag.

Great looking, easy swinging club. Very forgiving. Can hit the fairway or fringe all day long. Don''t overswing, just make a balanced swing and you''ll be hitting more fairways. It likes to correct itself on miss hits. Perhaps people of high to mid to mid low handicaps should concern themselves more with hitting fairways and less about hitting 300 yard drives.

Forget what the pros have in their bag these days. If there is a such a thing called an "accurate" driver, look no further. This is the one. I have to admit that the Regular flex staff really whippy compared to the Grafalloy BT Stiff I have on my favorite 11* Big Bertha Warbird. But.... the Deep Red is STRAIGHT.... LONG.... and always finds the fairway. What else does one want from a driver. And... car makers can learn a thing or two from Wilson Sporting Goods Company about finishing a paint-job!! Just get it.... that is.... if you''re not seeking celebrity status symbol of some sort.
