Playing it for about 3 months now. Hated the fake Speeder shaft. Head is good though. Re-shafted with a Penley ETA in Tour stiff and now I throw long darts. Can't see ever changing from this set-up. It's that good. I still take my 975 D out when it's cold out; (higher ball flight)but when the temp is in the 70's it's 983 E time. Distance is about 10 yards longer but it is always in the fairway. My driving average on a manucured course is around 285 to 290. BTW, the J-vs is nice but hooks too much for me. The FE is a great stick but it's tough to work the ballright to left. This is a driver you can get to love. Its head is not as enormous as those of many of the "big" drivers, and especially from the top it sets up square to the target. Lot of forgiveness, very long, made to work the ball. I particularly like that the head is heavy enough to feel. I have been playing the Ping Tisi Tec. Classic look breeds confidence. I got my E about a month ago and am loving it. I hit it about 10-15 yards longer than the J I was hitting. I believe that the E is the way to go for it is easy to hit and controlling the ball flight is not difficult either. Similar Products Used: 975 J 975D |
