titleist 975J.VS, Rifle 7.0 steel shaft
I had a 975D with EI-70 X shaft that when I was swinging well was great but when I wasn't, well, fore right! I loved it but after reading all of the reviews about the accuracy of the J.VS I decided to try it. The first one I had was a 7.5 degree with the Apache M65P shaft. Great club but I was still losing a few to the right. Plus, with the graphite shaft, impact sounded a little hollow. Not the nice smack that the D has. Anyway, sold the club to my buddy who killed it and offered me twice what I paid for it on the spot. After finding another 975J.VS on ebay for the same price, only this one has a Rifle 7.0 steel shaft in it, I sold it to him. The "new" one with the steel shaft is absolutely incredible. It sounds like the D on impact and I picked up a good 15 to 20 yds easily making my avg drive somewhere close to 295. With the D I avg'd about 280. The ball jumps off the face so fast it's not even funny. But the best thing is that I am so much more accurate with it. I don't know if it's the heavier weight of the steel, or the fact that it's an inch shorter, or both, but it sets up incredibly well and goes pretty much exactly where I aim it. I had been wanting to try a steel shaft for a long time and I'm glad I did. Especially after my round today when I hit driver, 1 iron to a 597 yard par five. I only had 251 left to the green. I have finally found the club that I'm looking for. Although those new 983's look pretty hot too...... Customer Service Never used. Similar Products Used: 975D, 975J.VS with Apache M65P shaft. |

975J-VS 9.5
I recently purchased the 975J-VS 9.5 and I absolutely love it! I traded in my 975D 9.5 for it and it payed off. It came with the Fujikura Speeder shaft which suits the club just perfectly! I can hammer the ball straight down the middle 95% of the time. If I miss it, the ball has a slight draw but I can deal with that any day. I highly recommend this driver, but keep your eyes open because they are discontinued. I am sure the 983E is a beautiful club as well but for the price I think I made the right choice with the JVS! I bought this club recently for 125£ in London UK. Its pretty good except that you can middle the ball yet creat 2 different trajectories LOW and HIGH with same distance. i cannot understand it but i dont like it. I prefer the ball to go low and lazy for about 260 and i dont get that consistently. I think its the stiff shaft thats causing the inconsistencies. So im have sent my 975J for reshafting with an Aldila ONE 65 MID Launch REG flex. The thing about not being able to hit as long with a REG flex as opposed to a STIFF one is a myth. Tiger openly claims that a REG flex would give him more distance than a STIFF one because of a more whippy action. Next week when i get my driver back it could be goodbye 250-260 and Hello! 280+ |

975 J-VS
Bought this club two weeks ago. I have been struggling over the last year of so with driving, I have used a Ping TiSi and an ERC2, both didnt give me the consistency I was looking for. This Titleist is by far the longest most forgiving driver I have ever used. It feels so well balanced, it doesnt give the impression of swinging a barge pole as the Ping does, its classical shape gives great confidence at set up. The J-VS offers huge distance and (more importantly) great consistancy all at a reasonable price. Customer Service Not needed Similar Products Used: Ping TiSi, ERC2 |

Titleist 975-JVS
Over this past weekend, I purchased a used 975 JVS at 10.5 loft. For the past year or so, I have been playing a 975D with 8.5 loft, and have been consistently stuggling controlling the ball off the tee. With the 975D, I have a very low ball flight that has a tendency to fade out right. I read lots of reviews of the JVS, and I knew that it's toe weighting and slightly offset head was designed to play a draw, an this seemed like a great fix. Also (after very careful consideration) I decided to go with the 10.5 loft. I know that many of you will think I've given up distance for accuracy, but I assure you that it's not as bad as I'd imagined. I was willing to give up a few yards to keep it in the fairway, but honestly, I have found no noticable yardage difference. Anyways, the club is incredible and I couldn't be happier with it. This could easily be the best golf-money I've ever spent, and I expect to trim 3 or 4 strokes off my game this summer just by being in the fairway more and out of trouble. Bottom line - if you have the 975D, it's time to move up. Trust me, you'll enjoy the new ride. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Titleist 975D |

Titleist 975 JVS 8.5 and stiff flex
My game has never been good because I've never been consistant with my drives, until now. Just purchased it 2weeks ago on e-bay. Took it out to a charity golf outing and most of the day I hit these low screaming drives because I was setting up to far behind the ball. By the end of the day, (the 17th) hole I finally figured out to get closer to the ball and hit 2 good drives, my friends all laughed because of how long it took me to figure it out. I took the kids to the driving range and I put on a nice show for them. Most of the drives either hit high on the back fence(225) away or went over it and straight. I figure with carry and roll 260-280. I never felt so good about my drives. The next day I could have died. While cleaning my clubs I noticed a big crack in the face. I called Titleist and after bringing it to one of their dealers. They are replacing it free. I should be getting a new one back soon. I can't wait. |

This driver for me has exceptional feel. The ball just shoots off that club face when you hit it and the sound is soft. I feel strongly that even a higher handicap player would benefit from hitting this club. I recently tried it out at a local driving range my sponsorr was at and he gave me one. I was playing the 975D and had been for two years. I went out the next day to play a 7300 yard course. I hit every fairway and shot 65. I love the driver, it has improved my overall confidence with the driver and really think it is going to get me going in the professional circut. |

well, since i AVERAGE 280-290 off the tee like everyone else on this board, i like my 320 yard drives much better than my 250 yard drives with this club! cmon guys, i am thinking of buying this club...help a golfer out and give some real feedback... i challenge every golfer i ever golf with to hit ONE drive in our round as far as they say they can. we walk off every drive. my friend who "averages 275" off the tee (legit 10 handicap) has yet to clear 260 on our relatively flat course. he must be hitting all those 300+ yard drives when i'm not around. as for my input after hitting this club about 20 times, it feels much more solid at impact than the ERC II. going to get it fitted by titleist. i am using a crappy stock callaway stiff shaft now and have demo'd the 975J 10.5 with the EI-70 stiff flex. trajectory is lower, but the same general draw bias i get in the ERC II. i may be swinging the wrong shaft, so going for a fitting. 975J
The 975J is an awesome club. First thing you'll notice is the increased fly and roll you'll get. I was using the 975D and was reluctant to change. I was worried that the bigger head would be harder to swing and control. This isn't the case, the club feels just as good as the smaller 975D, but is longer, more forgiving and easier to hit. Bottom line I would recommend this club to anyone. Similar Products Used: 975D |

WOW!! Thats all i could say. Bought this driver 2 weeks ago. Distance is phenomenal. Forgiveness is fantastic. Even off the toe or heel, i still get a long drive sitting on the fairway fringe, or fairway. Size of the head gives great confidence over the ball. Grip it! and rip it! I used to have to power into the swing to get good distance, but now, a nice easy backswing and accelerate through the hitting zone and BAMMM!!!! ball go far!! I'll keep this driver until its unplayable. Highly recommended for a mid to low handicapped player. But always remember, if your swing is off plane, nothin will work for you. So focus on your swing and not what brand of club your hitting. KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN!! Customer Service Havent experienced the customer service , but heard nothing but good things about it.
