Taylor Made Burner
My new driver is awesome! I still will push to the right sometimes, but on the practice range and on the course, I have yet to hit a ridiculous slice (one that would land me in the next fairway over). The best evidence? I haven't lost a ball yet (which for me is pretty good).
Customer Service I bought at Golfer's Warehouse in Rhode Island. They were friendly enough, I suppose. Similar Products Used: Callaway Hawk Eye |

2007 TP Burner 9.5 Stiff
My Previous club was a Cleveland Launcher Comp that I loved and could crush pretty well but I was looking for a little more distance. After reading many reviews I decided to head to the pro shop and give one a shot and boy this thing is a monster. I can easily crush it past my old driver by about 10-20 yards. Very easy to hit and sweet spot, I had to adjust my swing slightly but that was not a problem. Taylor Made did a great job by releasing this beast $100 cheaper than others. TaylorMade Burner TP 9.5 Reax 65 stiff shaft
I finally found the driver that will stay in my bag for quite a while. I won't make any great distance claims. I am decent driver of the ball but by no means am I a monster off the tee. Now about this driver. I absolutely love it. The TP version has a 1 degree open face. Can be worked both ways. Very slid. The club head is not distracting at all. The graphics set up well to my eye. The stock 65 gram shaft by Graphite Design is solid. I have tried just about everything out there and this driver suits my game the best. I was able to try the Superquad. I like the Burner TP much more. I highly recommend any decent ball striker to give the Burner TP a try. Others may want to try the standard burner. I can only assume the standard version performs just as well for those who need the closed clubface. I would give honorable mention to both the Titlest 907 D2 and the Cleveland HiBore XL tour (talk about a club that eliminates the left side). TaylorMade Burner 2007, 10.5 Stiff
This club truly is a GREAT driver. I am pretty picky about the quality of the head and the shaft of my clubs. I actually went to get custom fitted for a new driver at Golf Galaxy and used the ball launch monitor to get the appropriate metrics. As usual, I tried all the big boys including Nike Sasquatch, Callaway Ft-5 (and Ft-i...just for fun), Cobra, Ping, etc. And, I didn't really have an interest in the Burner but the store tech-guy insisted based on his experience with all of the other fittings he performed. And, as no surprise to him the TM Burner pretty much bombed it past all the others by at least ten yards, except the Callaway Ft-5, which on average was only two yards. But, the most telling was the back spin and side spin numbers were virtually perfect for the Burner. So, to make a long story short, the Burner was the one, even with the shaft that I didn't trust at first. Now after using it on the course for several rounds...........I'm even happier. It feels great and has that nice hot face pop. It is often stated in reviews on this site (and I am skeptical) but I seriously have hit more 300-320 yard drives this year than I have since I was 25. And they are frequently in the fairway. This is a really great club. The only thing I don't really like is the 1 degree closed face but I'm used to now and I can live with it. I can fade it if I now that I'm used to it too. Do yourself a favor, get fitted for your next driver and try this one along side all of the others. Customer Service Never used. TM Burner
The burner is great for those fighting a nasty slice like myself. I demoed it and the first shot at the driving range I bombed it 220 yds (my farthest thus far as I just began golfing last month). The entire session went very well and I bought it right away. I have the R flex with Reax shaft right handed. Similar Products Used: G5, SQ, TourEdge Bazooka |

TM 2007 Burner 10.5 R flex
Very happy with my TM580 10.5 S Flex for the past 4 years. Decided it was time to invest in a new driver. Tried a variety of drivers during demo day. Callaway FT1, FT5, Nike Sumo, Cleveland, G5, TM Superquad and Burner. Decided on the Burner with R Flex. First 2 trips to the driving range were awful. Took time to get use to the R flex. On the 3 trips after minor adjustment to the swing, the Burner was booming drive long and straight averaging 260yds. Hopefully this will stay in my back another 4 years. Customer Service Not needed |

2007 BURNER TP 65 PROTO SHAFT
I've played both the standard head with the standard shaft, and the tp head with the Proto by you shaft by Aldila. I've actually played a couple of rounds with each hitting two balls off the tee.(both Pro V's) I tend to like the Tp head with the Proto shaft. I've got the new Nike Sumo with the same Proto shaft, and I have to tell you, the Burner is a little longer. I just got the Sumo and the pro let me take out the Tp to try. WOW. I did found myself in the short stuff a little more with the Burner. Customer Service Haven't tryed Similar Products Used: Everything under the sun. |

Burner 2007 Driver LH 10.5* reg flex
Well, I didn't think I'd find a club to replace the 425, but I did. Taylor Made's new Burner is wicked sweet. Super long and super forgiving as well. Off center hits punish you in the feel department, but they go long enough. The face is closed, 1* I think, so if you fight a slice this club will look good to you at address. Classic Taylor Made sound, very distinctive. The shaft is lighter than most, which supposedly increases club speed and distance. It really does feel light in the hands. I hit it about 13 yards longer than my old 425 and the same distance as my G5. The club is designed to hit good, solid draws. My ball flight is noticeably lower with the Burner, which I didn't exactly like at first, but then I notied I still had increased carry. I find it hard to fade it, so I've actually gone Philly Mick style and use 2 drivers- the 425 has become the fade stick and the Burner for anything else straight or drawing. Who needs a 3 iron anyway? Some of ya'll might not like the graphics on the head, but they're subtle and not distracting IMO. I suggest ya'll demo it at least, you just might fall in love with it. The Burner has been in my bag for three months. At the time I purchased the Burner, I was looking for a little additional distance. It turns out I got about an additional 10 yards, not much. What I got with this driver is I am hitting the fairways about 80% of the time,265yrs without swinging out of my shoes. If you are having trouble with your driver this one is made for you.Not as long as the sasquash, but far easier to control. |
