Wow! This mallet resembles one of those war-clubs in Braveheart. I've tried a number of different drivers but usually have sacrificed distance for accuracy. I tried 360 during a round and hit it dead straight and Kong Dong long. I tried the 8.5 but for me the 9.5 produced the optimum launch angle. Feeling is a bit muted, but is what you would expect for such a big club. I'm 5'7 but had no trouble wielding this battle ram. Beside improving positioning on second shots, whacking it is insatiable fun. Similar Products Used: Ping TSi, Integra IV (pretty straight), Taylor Made Ti Bubble, Purespin XXL |

Very easy to get the ball airborne with the 10.5. In fact, I have a little bit of problem ballooning the ball. Tried the 9.5 and the problem lessens. The size of the clubhead is reasonable and it's forgiving. One thing I don't like about it is the sound of the impact. Similar Products Used: None |

TM 360 8.5 degress with Prolight Stiff Shaft
This is my second review of this driver since I have played it a few more rounds. Not just a fluke - I am averaging 30 yards more off the tee! I played a very hard links course last weekend on a very windy day and was able to keep the ball on the fairway and LONG. On two holes, I was able to exceed 250 yards into a fierce headwind. 360 with Fujikura Shaft
This is a great driver..very forgiving and very long..But I did not particularly like the off the rack configuration or setup..I did not like their crossline grip..I found this club hard to control with the 46" bubble shaft...I feel that the large size of the clubhead causes some extra twisting of the shaft, resulting in lack of control. I was hooking and then tried to correct it and started slicing. it was hard keeping it straight. I would though, highly recommend that you order the club with a low torque shaft of your choosing with whatever grip, kickpoint and swing weight you like. The factory offers a variety of shafts, and grips to choose from. I chose the Fujikura in a stiff flex and a 2.9 torque, D3.5 approx. swingweight, and had it made to 45". I am now crunching my drives long and straight. The pro's customize their clubs why shouldn't we? For the average to high handicap golfer I would recommend a shorter shaft...the 46" is harder to hit, will require some swing arc modification, and it takes some getting used to. But if you get used to it will help you hit the ball longer. Overall though, there is a reason that it is the number one driver on tour, and I am glad I found out why. I hope this review has helped, and don't be afraid to call TaylorMade customer service and ask them some questions. Customer Service Explained shaft options...flex, shaft weight, swing weight, length, kickpoint, and grip. They were very knowledgeable and product was delivered when promised. I tend to swing fast, and 4 out of 10 times my clubhead doesn't catch-up with my hip, and I push (more than slice) the ball, particularly off the tee. With the club, there is no need to swing hard! I can hit around 250-270 without trying to take the skin off the ball (most likely becuase of it), and now my misses get me in less trouble. I tried Ping and Cleveland titanium drivers also, but prefer this for its forgiveness and length. Ping is just as long, but I didn't get the same accuracy I have been able to to get with TM. One awesome driver! This is the first time where spending money has actually led to an appreciable improvement in my game. Love it Similar Products Used: Ping,TiISI Clevelang Quadpro titanium |

Great club. Was torn between this and the Orlimar, heavily pushed by the N.B. sales guy. Decided to go TM. Had one long ago and loved it. Long and straight. The cheap 9 hole course I play was totally different with this club in the bag. Don't overpower it, let the club do the work. Overpowering usually ended up left. I was an avid slicer, and I have yet to slice this thing. Similar Products Used: Orlimar hipti, wilson deep red |

This club is amazing! I have never felt a club with so much bounce of the face. This club really puts the ball out there far. Be careful though if you are a high handicaper, stay in the higher lofts with looser shafts. This club being 46" long tends to amplify your mistakes. A high handicapper will usually hit a long high slice with this club. I have a 9.5 degree with a S-90 and I have to work to keep it straight. Dont go out and buy this club because you think it will make you go straighter, this club is raw distance, but it is also fairly forgiving. What I am trying to say is that you shouldnt go from a tight lies driver for the high handicapper to this, I will take some hard work Similar Products Used: Ping ISI Ti, Taylor Made Supersteel. Feels also like the Wilson Killer Whale but with a Ti face |

I have never been able to hit a driver and by Great Big Bertha has collected dust in my bag for 3 years while I teed off with my 3. When I first got this club I had prblems for the first 2-3 rounds and then it clicked. Now I am driving 260-320 yards with an easy swing. This club is great, just give it a chance. I hit 90% OF MY DRIVES STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW. It is a great club. The 3 & 5 series woods are great too. Similar Products Used: Great Big Bertha |
