TaylorMade 200 Series Drivers

TaylorMade 200 Series Drivers

DESCRIPTION

Borrowing from the advanced design of its titanium cousins, the 200 Steel driver combines state-of-the-art Powerframe Technology and face-weld construction to produce the largest (275cc) and fastest COR steel driver we''ve ever developed. High-strength 455 stainless allows for thinner, lighter construction. This gives us more CAD-design freedom to expand the head size, distribute weight and optimize CG for improved trajectory.

Model Reviewed: TM 200 driver

A BIG wake up call for me. I cracked the shaft of my much loved TM 320 driver. After playing with just a three wood for a few rounds I was forced to see that driving the ball 290 yards with a huge swing simply is not needed; especially given the lack of control such head speed promotes. I bought the TM 200 with the steel 90 flex shaft. (I hit my steel head 3 wood about 240) With a slower swing I have more control and if I'm losing any distance...it's not more than about ten yards. My feeling is that unless you're a very good golfer playing 420 yard par 4s, the super long and expensive drivers are simply not worth the dollars these companies are demanding. Oh yes...the price of the 200 series are coming down.

If your an average golfer, like myself (low 80s, occ. 70s), don't waste your money on all the hype of expensive drivers. Buy this and spend your money of golf lessons. A great value. Better control and accuracy with off-center hits.

I Purchased this driver 3 weeks ago. I was slicing real bad with my other driver, do hit the ball more like a draw now. Hit more fairways with this Driver, love the sound its great. Also like the graphite shaft, I also just purchased 3-wood. This driver has helped me feel more confident off the tee, and have picked up 10-15 more yards, more if i hit it striaght. Would recommend to buy.

Just an amazing club. Can't say enough good things about it. I broke my last driver (collapsed the face) and decided to treat myself a little and bought this driver. My slice disappeared, it's amazing. The ball explodes off the tee (I hit 2 drives just over 300 yards today) and the others were all over 250. It's insane, I love this thing. I'd be lucky to hit 1 or 2 fairways a round with my other driver and only missed 1 or 2 today. Incredible! Buy this club!

Customer Service

Don't know...haven't had any problems yet but the 5 year warranty (from product release) looks great.

got it today and took it to the range with a buddy of mine. neither one of us were really that impressed by this club.s-90 shaft maybe be a tad too stiff for me. i must say i hit it a lot straighter than other drivers with grafite shafts. may be because the steel shaft is a lot shorter.

My review may be a little pre-mature as I haven't hit the club on the course, or at the range yet. I did hit the club into a net at the store though and let me tell you that it felt great. Perfect weight for my swing, as it felt really fluid in my hands. Ball sounded great off the face, and vibration was minimal. Definitely looking forward to properly demoing and probably purchasing this driver.

This is a superb driver. It is much better than the Taylor Made 300 series driver, which is just a hype - you have to work really hard to square up the oversize head. The 200 series is much longer and more accurate. It feels good and launch the ball hot in a pefect trajectory. Forget the 300 series or the new R500 series - you won't be disappointed.

It's an awesome club. The ball launches off the face. I literally crushed the ball to the back of the driving range! Never did that before. I can't wait to get a 3 wood to match. When I swung hard with my Bertha's I'd slice....now I crush it. Slice disappeared!!! AMAZING!
