Snake Eyes Fire Forged Beta Ti Drivers

Snake Eyes Fire Forged Beta Ti Drivers

DESCRIPTION

Fire forging at over 1200 tons ensures perfect grain of the beta titanium alloy which, in turn, yields maximum mechanical properties for the face. Each Fire Forged clubface is individually modeled using Golfsmith's sophisticated FEA impact model to determine precise face thickness for maximum deflection for each loft. Face thicknesses are manufactured within a tolerance of ± 0.05mm for each swing speed allowing players to achieve an increase in face deflection and distance simply not possible with drivers that are made with just one face thickness for all player types.

This club is incredible. If your a golfer who wants distance, control, feel, and looks this most definately is the driver for you. I''ve played Callaway for years and I gotta say, they make top of the line clubs. This club is the only club I have ever played that has gotten better results than the Callaway GBB, hawkeye, VFT, and even the ERC II. ONE thing to know, tee it low!

Although I got skunked on the price, I beleive this club was worth every penny. It gives me an extra 20 yards over my old Adams SC and is incredibly easy to control. I hit every major brand of driver, decided I would go raid the used club store, and then as an afterthought picked up this club. To my astonishment, it hit much better than I had expected of any other club. I decided to get one custom made with the Penley shaft. I had a tournament the next day, so I needed the club then. They charged me a whopping $130 assembly fee for the rush.

I could not be happier with any driver.

This club has added 10 to 15 yards to my tee shots. It sounds great, it feels great, and it gets me out in the fairway
with guys 25 years my junior. I'm playing the non-conforming version. Cost me $175, including a UST Super 47 shaft, and assembly by my local clubmaker. It would be a bargain at $400.

I bought the components and put it together myself. This head has 10 degrees of loft, shaft is a pured Proforce 65 stiff flex. I've put a few drivers together, tried other brands, and have to say that this is the best driver that I have ever hit. I am averaging 320 yards off the tee. I usually tee the ball high, but found that teeing it low produces the best results. Why pay all that money when you can do it yourself for less than half the cost.

I have the 10 degree with recommended shaft and trimmed to 45 inches. Ball flight is the same as Ping Tisi 8.5 degree RUS hosel with standard 350 stiff shaft. Distance is about the same on good hits about 250 yards carry with a fairly low boring trajectory. Difference is that the Fire Forged is significantly more consistant (straighter) and easier to hit on the sweet spot. I believe the standard Ping 350 stiff shaft is to weak and want to try a different shaft in the Ping but you must send back to Ping for reshafting (very expensive). I have tried Taylor Made 320 and 360 with both regular and stiff shafts at the range and on the course before ordering the Fire Forged. The Fire Forged sets up better than the Taylor Mades and again was more consistant with virtually no difference in distance on good hits. The Fire Forged is a teriffic bargin. I may another and experiment with an AJTech z shaft.

Model Reviewed: fire forged 10*...procor...legal head

price includes graffaloy prolite shaft which I installed...great club long and very controllable compared to taylor 320 and 360...however 360 may be longer..I have been using a 975D for quite sometime and have fantastic control with it but this club could be a little longer...used it today for first time and never missed a fairway and hit it pretty strong...I will keep it in my bag for awhile and see how it goes compared to my titleist...this club is every bit as good as the expensive spring faced drivers out there today

Model Reviewed: Fire Forged Beta Ti ( Non-Conform) 10*

This driver is LONG. When the ball comes off the face it just seems like it keeps on going and the sound at impact is fantastic. I bought the components at Golfsmith which include the head for $109, a Winn grip for $2, and the shaft for $25 (Graffoloy ProLite Stiff Flex) at Golfsmith but had it put together at my local golf shop. Golfsmith was gonna charge me $75 to build the club so I got it done locally for $20. I have only hit the driver at the range so far but it is the longest driver I have ever hit and is quite forgiving. The only down side is that since this club is so long bad shots which would normally just go to the light ruff will probaly now carry into the heavy stuff. Great club for anyone!

Customer Service

The Golfsmith employees are always very helpful.

If you have the correct shaft for this club(may I suggest softer than you think), this club has well above average distance. For my swing, only the Tour Pure,Yonex Rekin and RAM tour forged come close to this kind of distance.
