10 deg. RSC Hosel. Grafalloy Tour R.
After spending more than three months testing other drivers I definitively found it... This driver is a marvel: easy to hit, extra forgiving, nice (and loud) feel and an absolute blast in terms of distance. After playing several rounds with it, two out of three of my game parters ditched their drivers and bought the Tec, while the third decided to give another opportunity to his brand new 650$ Honma Driver... There are two recommendations for those considering this driver: 1.- If your swing speed is higher than 85 mph avoid the standard shaft (350 series) and select the Grafalloy Tour option at the same price or any of the known optional shafts of the market with lower torque figures (UST, True Temper & Grafalloy). The standard shaft will provocate erratic shots for those who fade the ball and straight to the right shots for those that have a draw tendency. 2.- Get fitted by any of the Ping dealers who have this program or take your time testing the different lofts and hosel options if you don´t have a Ping Fitter in your area. Initially I was considering a 8.5deg. driver and after some testing I found out that my drives reached two times more fairways with the 10deg. with subtle differences in distance. Finally, thanks to the many reviewers that posted their comments in this site cause they have been really helpful to shortlist the different options. Have a fun game! Customer Service Unfortunately my perception of PING service in Spain is very poor due mainly to their delivery delays. I took this club out for a demo. I pulled it out of my bag on a 372 yd par 4. On my very first swing with this club I found my ball 60 yards from the pin! I was SHOCKED. Granted, there was a nice breeze behind me, but I NEVER hit the ball over 300 yards! In the fairway, before I even hit my run up to the green, I called Golf Haus and ordered the club.. It was that simple I was SOLD! I bought my club with an 8.5 ET (That's REALLY like 10 degrees) and the Cushin 350 Stiff shaft. I got my club in the RSS hosel configuration which means that it is Right handed, with a regular lie and 1 degree closed. RSS is by far the most popular configuration, but don't cheat yourself out. You SHOULD get fitted for this club, even if it means spending a few extra bucks on it. A few notes.. When I first put this club at address, it looked HUGE! If you are not playing a big headed club (this one is 323 cc) it might take some getting used to. Also, it looks a little boxy. However, the results you get will quickly get you used to the odd shaped head. The finish on this club is beautiful, but I don't know how durable it will be. I've hit the 975j, the TM 320, the 360 and the Nike 350. All of those clubs can hitthe ball as far, but none of them can hit the ball as far as this one when you don't hit the sweet spot. I can't tell you how many times i felt that i TOTALLY miss hit and the ball was out there 250 anyway. Simply incredible. If you can afford it.. BUY IT! I really,REALLY like this driver but if you plan on getting one you MUST understand the loft and configuration options that comes with this club. Mine is 8.5 ET that means its actually 10 degrees of loft.ie Add about 1.5 degrees to the stated loft on the bottom of the club. The configurations go from extra draw bias to open face and the lie can go from upright to flat. You really need to understand what your buying to get the best from the club. ie Get fitted. This is simply the longest most accurate club I have owned and its also very forgiving on off center hits. Thats it... A great club but you must know what your game needs and get fitted for that. One last thing about these reviews. All you guys that hit it 300+ yards blah blah ie longer than most PGA tour pros. PLEASE stop smoking that stuff Customer Service Had one problem with the back weight coming out and the new ones are now screwed in so I guess its been a common fault. Anyway Ping fixed it but they pale in comparision to Callaway when it comes to c Similar Products Used: Big Berthas,Biggest Bigs and test several others. |

PING TISI TEC 8.5 RSS
This driver is the most consistent driver that I've ever played with! I've rescently owned the Titleist 975J and the NIKE 350cc forged. Both of the clubs you have to hit in the sweet spot or the screws! The PING TISI TEC driver is so forgiving of the toe and heel if I miss hit the ball it still goes 275 yds. I average 280yds to 310yds with this club! Customer Service I've never needed this! Similar Products Used: Titleist Pro Ti 975J, Nike 350cc forged Ti , SVG Gold beta 700 Ti |

After two years of using only irons I decided to pick up my driver. Took some time to decide since I hit the three iron longer than most hit their driver (currently playing with stiff shaft x14s). The Ping proved to be the absolute best to put all my power into a driver, after having the pleasure of testing all the other famous manufacturers. I believe that the only reason for using a driver is that you, as a player, has the guts to put every piece of energy into the hit of the ball. Otherwise, use your irons. This is by far the best driver I've ever hit. Nothing comes close, not even the Nike. Show it to your family, show it to your friends, when you've got this driver, the fun never ends!! I picked this club up 3 weeks ago after ditching the horrible VFT Hawkeye. I've seen this drivers used on T.V. for the longest drive contests, and now I see why. I've never hit a golf ball so far before (260-280 yds). Every one of my golfing friends wants one after seeing it in action. This driver has that oh-so-sweet Ping sound to it, and man is it long. I can't say enough good things about this club. Customer Service Not needed yet Similar Products Used: Knight Tour Weapon Wilson Pro-Staff Big Bertha VFT Hawkeye (trust me on this one, folks. Ping Tisi TEC
I recently bought the new PING TEC 10 degree model on Ebay. I'm a 9 handicap with only average length. I have been playing the 975J 9.5 and Adams 9 with bi-matrix shaft. I found the TEC to be extremely more foregiving than either the 975J or Adams and a little longer. I've read claims of 20 or 30 yards, but I haven't experienced that much gain. Probably 10 to 15 yards is my experience. The 975J also has the Variable Face Technology, but I notice a loss of distance on off center hits. The TEC covers these mistakes for you. I have found that the TEC loft is a bit mis-leading. I hit the 10 degree much higher than normal, more like an 11 or 11.5 degree. My recommendation would be to go down in loft. If you normally play a 9.5-10.5 ... buy the 8.5. Similar Products Used: Titleist 975J Adams |

Ping TISI Teck RUS
Demo Day Only. I only tried this club once, but boy oh boy, was it sweet. Tried that day, the COBRA (newest model), Taylor Made, Callway C4 and ERC II, 975J, and the PING. Because my swing must have been consistent(since I hit them all the same day), I can say I noticed a huge difference with the Ping. Not so much distance, as effortlessness in the swing, and keeping the ball straight. Used a stiff ping shaft, 10 degrees, upright hosel. the 975J and C4, were very nice as well, but I am going to buy the Ping as soon as I get the bucks. |

Ping TiSi tec driver
Just purchased a new TiSi tec 8.5 degree driver with a stiff shaft. I replaced the Cleveland Launcher (which I loved & hit consistently 270 yards). When I tried the new tec driver one time I was hooked. It added distance and accuracy. I played my first round today and shot an even 80. That is quite a few strokes off my normal score in the mid 90's. I drove the ball better than ever with at lease 8 drives at 300 plus yards. My most memorable drive today was on a 353 yard par 4 that my tee shot landed in the dead center of the fairway just 15 yards short of the green. I have enjoyed putting on an exhibition at the range as well... consistently driving balls over 300 yards. I am hooked! Bye Bye Launcher. Customer Service none as of yet Similar Products Used: Cleveland Launcher, Callaway Hawkeye, Orlimar Trimetal HipTi. |

Ping 8.5* Tisi Tec
I revieved this driver before the Tec category was begun. Again I say that this is an awesome driver, very forgiving and long. I owned a Taylor Made 320 9* before this 8.5* Ping and did hit the TM farther. However, I am MUCH more accurate with the ping. I had the Grafalloy Prolite stiff shaft in the TM and have a UST 65 regular flex shaft in the Ping, so the distance vs. accuracy thing is not just in the shaft differences. The 8.5* does have a high launch and plays more like a 9.5 or 10* driver. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality, high performance driver.
