I had this club fitted for me at a national chain. It's unbelievably long and straight. For me, there was a world of difference on the launch monitor between the shafts that were availble. Without question, the Aldila NVS was the best for me. Downside, it's pricy, BUT

I friend of mine who is a club fitter and specialises in Custom assesments told me about this club.
He has access to both Nike and Callaway 'square' drivers - in fact he has access to just about anything out there..... OTHER THAN PING!

iMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN HE RECOMMENDS TO ME THE ONLY CLUB HEAD HE CANNOT GET FROM THE MANUFACTURER!

In his words .... theis head is the hottest thing around and will smoke all in its wake. (he also does custom work for the PGA and its members, so his opinion is worth listening too!)

So I bought one after a demo at the American Golf driving range. The srandard shaft is an unbelievable model.. THE LATEST ALDILA VS PROTO .

There is so much techno stuff on this clubhead that , all designed to hit the ball higher, longer and straighter.... does it work???

Without doubt it is a thing of beauty to see and an even greater thing to hit. Certainly it has added 7/10 yards on my miserable drives and the mis-hits dont seem to have any effect on the distance.

The only downside is its price, coming in at £279... but as the shaft is about £150 on its own, then i guess it is ok by me.

I was also told that, allegedly, the owner of SMT golf in UK has got a set of these including the driver........ now that tells a story !
