G10 Driver
I think I have literally tried every top of the line driver out there and love this driver. This year alone I have played HiBore XL, Adams XTD and the Burner. LONG and STRAIGHT. The ball seems to jump off of the face on pure hits but heel and toe jobs still go a respectable distance. I do not find that the ball goes too high with the Ping shaft, so maybe that is a problem with the other shafts. If you haven't tried a PING driver you owe it yourself to hit one. Customer Service Haven't used but know they are top notch. That is one reason I would buy PING. Website is good. Similar Products Used: Mizuno, TaylorMade, Nike, McGregor, Cleveland, Hogan, etc.. PING G10 13.5* V2 High Launch
I have just recovered from an injury sustained last year. Unfortunately it has affected my right arm. I lost 15 mph off my swing speed. I decided to get fit by PING with their trackman monitor in the hopes of salvaging what loss in strength I sustained. All I can say is WOW! The fitting process is top notch and combined with the product knowledge of the tech's, you would be limiting your effectiveness if you didn't take advantage of it. I may have lost swing speed but my distance is better by 10 yards and the accuracy is fantastic. I can look where I want the ball to go and hit with confidence. I previously had a Taylormade R7 Quad which was a nice setup but this leaves it in the dust!
Customer Service Wow, really, really impressed. Similar Products Used: Practically all (I'm a golf junkie) |

Ping G10 10.5* V2 High Launch
After months of struggling with my Adams 460D 9.5, I decided to take the plunge on a new driver. Needless to say after 1 round I'm in love with my new G10. The club swings phenomenally, has a very hot forgiving face and is very hard to not keep straight or kinda straight. This club will increase your fairways hit!!! G10 9* TFC 129D stiff shaft
Best driver I have ever hit. I actually like the 45.75 inch shaft. If I'm swinging well, the extra length is great. If I'm having an off day, I'll choke down an inch or so. This is the second G10 I've owned. The first was a 10.5* ProForce V2 high launch. I bought it based on a launch monitor fitting. Once I got it outside, it hit so high it brought rain. Waited for a demo day, and the 9* TFC 129D, stiff shaft was the perfect choice. You will hit this club high. Last time I solely trust a launch monitor alone. The feel is perfect, it crushes the ball and it is forgiving. All the other clubs lack feel. I miss the great feeling older drivers like the Callaway Hawkeye. My swing produces a natural draw, so all clubs with closed faces were not choices. You will not be disappointed with this club. See below for all other models I've owned or hit outside. I will never compare clubs solely inside again. Country clubs, public courses with good pro shops and demo days are all great places to try clubs outside. Customer Service I've heard great, but haven't needed them yet. Similar Products Used: Nike Sumo 5000, Cobra Speed LD f, Cobra L4V, Taylor Made Burner, Callaway Hyper X, Big Bertha 460, Titleist 905R (great club), Titleist 907D2 (not as good as 905R) and I'm sure there's a few more. |

Amazing driver, can hit it a mighty mile, not the longest driver out there but it is up there, goes pretty high but not bad and has very little spin so gets a healthy amount of roll on the ever harding fairways.

I've been playing with an Si3, 340 head. I've tried some Taylor Made 580XD's, but they had horrible feedback. I took the plunge to try a G10 in 10.5 degs, with the V2 high launch shaft. It actually had good feedback, though not as firm as the Si3. I was surprised with the shaft though. Yes this club gets it up, and while I was worried about ballooning it, but it just seemed to carry. Less roll than the Si3, but I was carrying it 240+ on average, rolling to 270. Bombed a couple in the 290-310 range when I cranked it, and the shaft was able to stay with it. 90% of all my hits so far have been straight. Very forgiving club. Suggest having a fitting done, or being able to demo different combinations. I tried it out just to see, and I'm going to end up keeping it, as it was consistently 20 yrds longer than the Si3. Customer Service Ping has a reputation of good service. I haven't required it yet though. Similar Products Used: Ping Si3, Taylor Made 580XD. |

I loved my old Ping G2 driver. It was as long as anything I have hit. The G10 I can't really say is longer but boy is it ever accurate. This is as close to a fairway splitter as I have ever hit. I am, and prefer to be, a straight hitter and this club makes it easy. I can turn it either way if I want to so it can certainly be done but like I said I prefer straight and this is the club for me because even on a poor hit it goes straight if you put a decent swing on it. Of course if you have a slice or hook swing you'll still get that but you'll be more consistent with whatever you do. Customer Service Haven't needed it. First I must address the previous reviewer speaking to Ping cast irons being "junk". Please don,t drink heavily before typing in a review.I have played 15 sets of top of the line OEM over last 20 years and my move to the G10 irons have been the most positive equipment change I have made in 20+ years. They are renowned as having the highest quality products around. After buying the irons in Nov I was so impressed I traded in my Burner TP (loved it) for the G10 10.5* driver,3wd,18* & 21* hybrids. All with the V2hl stiff. After 8 rounds I must say the G10 is a forgiving driver with good distance. The shaft was a good choice. Although I hit the ball slightly higher there is no ballooning ,even into wind. Also has a nice soft feel. Customer Service No problems, but did discuss specs with CS dept previous to buying and they were helpfull. Similar Products Used: Last few drivers owned,Burner TP,905R,TEE,R5. Let's face it, PING's irons are cast junk, but man o man, have they hit a home run with their new drivers. I really really liked the G5 but I kept going back to Titleist because I liked the looks of their drivers. Well, PING took the G5 and made it even longer & more forgiving. The G10 is just sexy at address. Huge 460cc head with a deep, black paint color. The "half-moon" sight on the top is really nice and pleasing to the eye. This driver is just brutal. I kills the golf ball and has a nice solid feel to it. You can tell if you catch it on the screws or not, but no worries, this thing is VERY forgiving on off-center hits. The stock TFC shaft made by UST is top-notch. You simply can't go wrong with this driver. Well maybe if you're highly skilled and like to work the ball then you may not like it. But if you desire to hit long, straight, bombs all day past your buddies look no further. Rarely do I shell out $300 for a club but this one is worth it. It's a beast!!
