Orlimar HIP Ti, 9.5 Stiff Fujikura shaft
This is a fabulous club. I am driving further and straighter than I ever have. My golfing buddies can't believe how far past them I am. I am 60 yrs old and weigh 147 pounds and with this club I'm getting 275 yards! Customer Service not required Similar Products Used: Taylor Made 320, Palmer PHD, Wilson Deep Red |

If you are a scratch golfer, this review is not for you. I am new to golf and dismiss the theory that new golfers shouldn''t be hitting a driver. So, I wanted a club that I could control and was forgiving. I tried the Mizuno T-Zoid Forged, Titleist ''J'', Wilson Deep Red (yuck), Cleveland Launcher and Taylor Made 320Ti. I tried various shafts in each. After getting EXCEPTIONAL customer service from Edwin Watts I determined that I needed a regular flex and not a stiff. I was given the Taylor Made and Orlimar to demo for a week while I was in Orlando. I hit both well so it was a very tough decision. The Orlimar was just a bit more forgiving and even though it was 20cc''s bigger, I could control it. If you are a beginner or want a forgiving club, this is one to check out! Customer Service Edwin Watts was fantastic. I must have hit 300 balls while in the store during my visits and they let me demo the clubs for a week. This is the best driver you can buy for the price. I tested this and the Taylor Made 320 on the range; both felt the same and gave me the same results(distance & accuracy). I''ve been looking for a new driver for 2 years and this is it. I average about 270 yards...but don''t get this club only because of the reviews. Go to the range and demo several drivers, see what gives you the best results, then buy it on eBay. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made 320, Ping ISTI, Calloway VFT |

Orlimar Hip Ti 10.5 Fujikura Reg
Strength:
None Excellent club. I disagree with the several reviews that suggest the stock Fujikura regular shaft is ''soft''. I believe that the feel of the regular shaft is comparable to all of the other regular shafts that I have tried. The slightly different feel that is being reported may be due to the kickpoint and/or the lightness of the clubhead. At any rate, I experienced superb results with a smooth swing in the 88-90 mph range. The ball just rockets off the clubface with pleasant acoustics and an even more pleasant trajectory. Easy to draw, somewhat difficult to fade (most likely due to the 2 degree closed face and/or ''chilli pepper'' weight toward the heel). As far as value is concerned, I don''t believe that any club is worth the HipTi''s retail price ($449). However, I purchased the club brand new on the internet for $279 and it was well worth it. None Excellent club,, have hit everything,,Ping, Titleist, Callaway VFT. This is the easiest club I have ever hit. Very forgiving, straight, and easy to work when needed. Buy this and try it and you will be a believer also. Most drives have bee 15 to 20 yards further. Similar Products Used: Ping, Callaway, Taylor Made, Titleist |

None Best driver I''ve used to date. Use to a McHenry 10.5/Firm shaft driver that was long, but the HipTi is longer with a Fujikura Reg shaft! Go figure. In any event, its controllable, workable and conistently long. Even on tight par 4''s where I use to use a 3 wood off the tee, I take the driver now and 8 out 10 times I''m in the fairway or first cut. Similar Products Used: None |

None Narrowed my choices to this and the Taylor Made 320. Went with this club because side by side it was 10-20 yards longer (the Taylor Made is really long also). This club is a freak. Be careful about which weighting you get. The 10.5 promotes a draw, the 9.5 again a mild draw and the 8.5 promotes a fade. I bought the 8.5. I used to fight a hook and now I have a mild fade with this club. However, I can swing as hard as I want and won''t hook, which is great. Similar Products Used: Titlest 975D |

None This is an amazing club. At first it wasn''t that great but after 2 rounds of golf I made some adjustments and absolutely blasted the ball. Im 16 years old and weigh only 120 lbs and I average 250-270 yards on my drives. I can even bang the ball 300+ yards if I really needed. The stock shaft kinda sucks though, its too light and the stiff shaft plays like a soft regular. I recomend that you change it. Also the 10.5 degree is a little too much loft for me, I have to tee the ball a little lower than most people. If you''re a mid to high handycapper than you will love this club. I''ve tried other clubs, they''re ok but I love the look and the sound of the Orlimar. The new callaways are terrible clubs as for the titleist they''re ok, my dad loves his 975D, but he''s also a scratch golfer. Definately go out and give this club a try, never buy a club without testing it first. Similar Products Used: Callaway war bird, Callaway great big bertha, Callaway VFT, Titleist 975F and D |

None This is the longest, straigtest driver I have ever hit. It is a lot easier to be hitting a wedge than a five iron to a 400+ yard par four. I have always had a problem hooking the ball with drivers but not with this club. It is not easy to work shots with the HipTi, but who needs to if you can hit the ball straight all the time? I hope to get my game back in the 70s with the help of this club. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: None |

None This is a great driver for carry and distance. I have played Callaway (with three shafts) and TaylorMade and this is by far the best club of them all. The Fujikura shaft has a great kickpoint. As for anyone who shoots in the 100''s to first buy and then rate a $400 club is insane. And if you are going to go by what tour players hit go buy a Titleist 975D at 43 inches with an X-100 shaft an inch tipped and see if you can get in airborne. Why not that''s what Tiger hits. He also palys blades are you buying them.. I don''t think so. Similar Products Used: None |
