I too don't know where the other posters complaining about this driver were coming from. I borrowed a friend's driver, simply because I thought the whole thing a novelty. It is a bit unsettling looking down at this thing as it looks like a dinner plate on a stick. A lot of my concern went away when I spent some time on the range with it, and then played 18 with it. No, I did not get the "magical 20 yard increase" that everyone always says they get switching to a new driver. I already hit my driver straight, and I suspect that many people pick up additional yards because they hit the ball straight instead of leaking it right. Having said all that, if you can't hit this driver straight, you really need to consider taking up tennis or softball. I am not comfortable working my driver both ways, but can fade a drive if I wish. I will use a 3 wood for working the ball right to left. So while I didn't get any magical increase in distance, I did get a straight drive everytime I hit the ball. I also borrowed the 3 wood (Mits. shaft on it) and I definitely liked the 3 wood. I wouldn't run right out and buy this thing because it is new...but you might give it a try on the range and see what you think. I am considering buying one, but going to play it another 18 just to try it again. It is priced fairly competitive with the competition. Customer Service Have no idea...never owned a Nike club. I am a little surprised by some of the poor reviews. This is the easiest to hit driver I have ever had in my hands. All my buddies have hit it and all the feedback is good. I have never been a Nike guy, but have been struggling of late with my driving, and bought into the MOI/geometry sales pitch in a moment of weakness. Not a smart way to make buying decisions, but I got away with this one. I haven't ironed out my driver swing yet, but my drives are all in play now. I am getting away with murder with this thing. It's not quite as long as my Tileist 905s, but it's plenty long enough. I am particularly confused by the folks who are balooning the SQ. I am 6'5", weigh 235 lbs and hit everything high. My pro (an excellent fitter) always fits me with stuff that helps bring my ball flight down, like Project X 6.0 shafts in my irons, Sonartec fairway woods, and my 905s is 8.5º with an NV 85 stiff shaft. If anyone was going to baloon the Sasquatch, it would have been me. I am hitting the 9.5º SQ Max with the standard stiff OEM Diamana and am not hitting it higher than the Titleist. I would characterize the ball flight as medium/low and boring. I am also getting plenty of roll. The men I play with are all single digit hndcp guys, and none of them balooned it either. Give it a try yourself, and see what you think. When my swing is back on, the Titleist is coming back out, but when I am struggling some the Sasquatch is the club for me. Great product! It's like the 2-ball putter of drivers - point and shoot. Customer Service Unknown Similar Products Used: Titleist 905s |

This is my first review so excuse any shortcomings. But this driver compelled me to sign up so that I could warn others. If you are a mid handicap or better SEEK LIFE ELSEWHERE, I will explain why in a moment For perspective, I have had numerous lessons from two of the top three golf instructors to tour players and I have dropped to a 7 handicap from a standing start in three years. I have a repeatable swing. Now, after three years I know that all golfers are susceptible to the "Revolutionary Technology Break Through" marketing pitch when the truth is marginal improvement at best. This time the truth was so far from the marketing pitch I wanted to scream. The people in the commercial were not afraid of/distracted by the club they where afraid of where the ball was coming down because it could by anywhere. I bought this club at a shop with launch monitors based on those readings. (The club produces a freakishly high smash ratio, ball speed/club head speed, and a darn near optimal inital launch angle.) Well launch monitors are not real life. On the range the club can hit very long but more often it would start with a great launch angle then ballon up at about 255-265 yards "hover" and the fall out of the sky. It truly is amazing you can hit this club off the deck, yeah I know the head is the size of an elephant but you can hit it off the deck, and the darn thing wil still ballon. It would be funny if the club was not so expensive, the ball starts off perfect rises rises rises and rises then seems to get confused hesitate and then fall either left or right. On the course the face is hard to square yet impossible to work. You can't miss the center of the club face but you will find that the club has an alarming and frequent ability to create either snap hooks or hard blocks. In an attempt to give the club a chance I had it re-shafted twice an Accra and then a Fujikura Speeder, a Speeder can lower the trajectory of the space shuttle. The ball still balloned up and the club was still unstable. However, the last straw was this, the range I work out at is owned by a Champions Tour player with a son on The Tour (neither sponsored by Nike), they both Balloned the ball and experienced blocks far too often. This club is a poor value and based on my humble opinion and experience is inferior to the current and several older offerings from other club makers Customer Service No experience Similar Products Used: Titleist 983 E;Taylor Made R7 tp,510 tp;Callaway Fusion, Cleveland 460;Ping G2;Ping G5 |

Definitely change the shaft from the stock. Just put in play with an NVS and it really is long club. Can't work the ball too much, but it's straight as heck. Definitely worth it for the hackers that want to hit it straight, but if you want to work the ball a bit more, you might want to try the Tour. |

Nike SQ 460 10.5º Diamana Stiff
I can't say for sure with this review as I just got it two days ago. The verdict? LONG! Pouring rain and 5ºC outdoors ... put masking tape on the club face and went to the driving range and got only 30 balls. After a warm up about 8-12 balls, hit my 9.5º r7 (Aldila 65-R) and has my usual pattern of mostly left of the target with a spread of about 30 yards. Hit a few more balls with the 10.5º SasQuatch (Diamana Stiff) and it is mostly right of the target with a spread of about 35 yards. The patterns not counting the handful of really bad slices and hooks. I only hit one on the toe and all other impact is within the center circle ... I would probably have better accuracy if my swing can square the club face as two balls went way right (of the handful of bad shots) but impacted mostly the middle of the club face. There were about 4 perfectly straight and proper trajectory shot that seems to rocket off the club face and high. Accuracy aside, it is probably 10 to 25 yards longer and have much higher / better trajectory compared to my r7 but probably just as stable? Granted I have not adjust to high trajectory on the r7 (it was set to low draw) and the lofts are different with my r7 but this is a keeper. Customer Service There is an interactive live help (text chat) section at www.nikegolf.com and it was useful for me to resolve that the word "nexTI" on the club face looks slightly different than what was advertised. Definitely need an aftermarket shaft. The Shaft is not a true Diamana, so the shot dispersion is not as tight. As a matter of fact, the shaft is way too soft. I usually hit about 80% of the fairway with my 454 w/ NVS. I hit only one fairway with this shaft. The face is hot, but I'm going to be an NVS shaft in and hopefully, it'll be more playable. |

How do I explain how bad this driver actually is? This is one of the most inconsistent drivers I have hit in my life. I was really looking forward to giving this driver a try. I love the Nike Ignite. I think Nike took a step back. I believe it is all in the shaft. I have a swing speed of about 110mph, and I had no idea where this driver was going. I think it is a major mistake for Nike not to offer an aftermarket shaft with this club. Anyone player looking for a driver to improve their game...look elsewhere. May Nike will make up for it with the Tour version of this driver coming out in March. We'll See. Customer Service Never tried them. Not sure where to start. I bought the SQ on Thursday for a Friday round with some old friends, so I've got to impress. Because of life, I get to play 3 maybe 4 times a year, hence my scores are generally in the high 90's or low 100's. My old driver was a Nike (first generation) and I could never hit it straight, always right, way right. I pull the new SQ out on the first hole and tore one right down the middle... Beginner's luck crossed my mind. By the end of the round, I actually had some confidence in the driver. After tallying up my score I just about fell down... 86!!! The best 'legal' round of my life, no mulligans or foot wedges! I've never hit the ball that long and that straight. 3 drives over 300 yds. and none went right OB, which I'm fairly used to. HIGHLY recommend hitting this driver at the local golf shop. |

to my surprise, i hit 80% of the fairway throughout 2 rounds. This driver is very straight and has good distance. I thought it would take time to get use to because of the huge head size, but from the start it was very easy to handle. over all better than expected!
