Like it, didn't love it. I have been using a Cobra 450 SZ Tour which when I hit them against each other, blows the Nike away. I felt the sound of the Nike was muted. Some people may like that, but I felt cheated when catching the sweet spot. Customer Service Not used Similar Products Used: Alpha C830 2, Cleveland Launcher 460, Cobra SZ 460 Tour |

Bottom line, THIS is the driver to have. I was already pretty long before buying the Ignite. Now I'm just ridiculous. No issues with straying too far off line either. No one at the range or course likes to hear the sound of golfball pain, especially when their hits sound and look like french ticklers. My swing speed is 122mph. So what!? Try that with the Ignite. You'll look like a contestant for the long drive tour. The best part about it is the accuracy. Yes I changed the stock Aldila 65x to a 75x and tipped it. Control and excessive distance. No need for further comments Customer Service No need for it, at least not yet. Similar Products Used: Alpha Reaction C-830, Bang 400, Ping i3, Taylormade 580XD, Cobra SS 380 |

Nike Ignite 460CC 10.5
The Nike Ignite 460cc is the best driver I have hit all year and I hit them all. While waiting to move oversea's for my company, I have had 6 weeks of free time to hang out at the golf stores and courses and demo everything on the market. The ball comes zinging off the face of this club with even the easiest of swings. The accuracy is dead down the middle. The club sets up perfectly straight at address. I have not found one thing wrong with this club. The trajectory, while a 10.5 degree is high, it is not to the point of being unplayable. I am getting a good 15+ yards out of this driver over all my others including a newer Titleist 983K. This is one driver I have no fear of stepping up to the tee with. I have so much confidence with this driver, that every drive leaves me in excellent shape for the second shot. Granted Tiger Woods could hit a broom 300 yards and straight, but that is not why I bought it. Once you demo this club with live balls and not range balls, you will know why this is a highly rated driver. The key to this driver as well as any other driver on the market, is to get the driver with the correct shaft that fits your swing speed. No driver is junk, if the golfer is not smart enough to get the correct shaft for their swing, its not the drivers fault is it? If you want to invest in ANY good driver, get checked out on a launch monitor to ensure you find something that works for you! I am sure I would have a hard time hitting Tigers driver, but that does not mean the driver is no good. If you want to hit straight bombs down the middle of the fairway with ease, then give this driver a demo with the correct flex shaft for your swing. This has been a real confidence booster and lower my hc as well. There are many excellent drivers on the market, but I would rate the Nike Ignite 460cc the easiest and most consistent to hit. I demo'ed this club when I was trying to pick out a new driver. I demo'ed this against the other clubs listed below. This club hits a ton! I found that for my swing speed (average) I was picking up a few extra yards on my drives when compared to the others listed below. What ruined it for me, was that fact that I did not find this driver to be consistent. Alot of that definately has to do with me swinging the club, but in general, I didn't find this to be as forgiving as some of the offerings from the other companies. Also, the sound it makes when hit reminded me of an Easton Baseball Bat, not the nice clink that I have grown accustomed to. This is a nice driver, and also priced under the others that I have tested. I just found it wasn't for me do to the inability to consistently hit it straight vs. the other clubs I demo'ed. Now I understand why tiger uses the Ignite driver. This club has the best feel of any driver out on the market. When you hit the sweet spot( you can't miss it, IT'S HUGE!) you can feel the ball flying off the face. When you do miss hit it, the ball stays on line pretty good, not the most forgiving, but the forgivness is there. The thing i like most about this club is how the face is shaped. For a 460cc driver the face is not that deep, instead its pretty wide, which i prefer. This club is fairly easy to work, but the best shot shape is a power fade. However it plays a draw just fine. When I demoed one I found the stock shaft too soft, and the ball flight was too high so i got it with the aldila nv65 stiff, this combo is wonderful, also the prolaunch is good too. I hit the 410cc, little bit less distance, but a little bit more easy to work the ball. So hit them both, then decide which one you want. All in all a great club for all handicap ranges. Customer Service Not used, but nike has a good following, and a great website. Similar Products Used: cobra sz 440( to much DRAW! ) Callaway Big Bertha 454, Great club for high handicapers. |

Nike Ignite 460 9*5 Stiff Fujikura
After coming back from a 5 year layoff from golf I noticed that my Great Big Bertha was old technology. I tried the Ignite and dropped six strokes from my very next 9 hole round. How this happened was by longer and straighter drives. Great feel off of the tee, great sound also. I am very happy with this driver. Customer Service None so far. Nike Ignite 460 9.5 Fujikura Stiff
I just wrote a review making the Ignite driver sound like the ultimate club. I have totally changed my opinion about this club after applying it in REAL golf games where it counts -- games where the pressure is on. I eventually started to slice this club like you cannot imagine. I wouldn't even call it a slice really, much worse. Imagine if you threw a golf ball out of your car window going 70 mph down the highway... the ball would just snap immediatelly offline and just keep going. That explains my ball flight with this club preciselly. I broke down and went to my local golf specialist who custom fits golf clubs for people. He tested the shafts torque, kick point, and flex to find that the shaft was no where near what would be considered "stiff". Afterall, the shaft was the Fujikura Stiff... apparently stiff means noodle-like and whippy in Nike definition. I had a long and in-depth discussion with the guy about how I could salvage the club and just simply reshaft. He agreed that dumping the shaft and replacing it with reliable staff fit for me would make this club wonderful. He didn't seem to like the 460cc Nike club head, claiming he heard dozens of times from others that it was a poor club. But I was in good spirits and told him to fit me with a solid shaft for my swing speed & tempo, and let's see what happens. So i'm telling you this: The stock fujikura shaft is the worst product ever. It ruins the club. Upgrade the beast to an Aldila NV series shaft and turn your frowns into smiles. |

I love the performance of this driver. Nice feel, nice sound, and long. I had trouble getting used to the look of the 460cc club head. The ignite logo on the top of the clubhead is also a little distracting. But aside all that, it was great. I swapped for the club and was only able to get a regular flex shaft, which is much too soft for my swing speed. I am now playing a Titleist 983 with an x flex speeder shaft and love it. I recommend the Ignite to higher handicap players, Titleist to lower. This driver is truly a weapon of mass destruction. With my first 10 swings, 5 of the shots were just bombed out of sight. I practiced it quite a bit on the range today after just receiving it off ebay. I've hit the Ping G2, Taylor M. r7, Titleist 905 so far. But I liked the Nike because it was just HUGE off the tee, and a great buy compared to the other modern drivers. I think the Titleist drivers are better overall honestly, but they are way too expensive. If you are a 5 handicap or less, you will probably like the Titleist series better. But even so, the Nike is a great club that will blow you away if you've never had a decent driver in the past. It has more distance than any of the modern clubs out there, it only lacks a bit in off-center hits. If you really miss it on the heal or toe, you won't be happy. But anything loosely close to the center or right on the center will produce a very loud "BANG" and send the ball about 325 yards dead straight down the middle. I swing about 105mph and can put some good drives way out there. For those of you who swing much faster than that, good luck finding your ball... on the moon :) Similar Products Used: Titleist 983k |
