I had been swinging the TM360 but was not as long and consistant as I would like. The friend that I play with every week was playing the same club but moved up to the TM580. He was now outdriving me by 20-30 yards with the TM580. I finally got tired of it and went in to the shop looking for answers (I really thought that I would walk out with the TM580). I explained my problem to the salesman that I have always dealt with and he asked me if I would be willing to try something new. He said they had just started carrying these clubs, told me a little history about the maker and the company, and said he honestly felt that it was the best driver they had in the shop. Then he said the MAGIC WORDS. ...."it is longer than the TM580 and it is $100.00 less money"! Now I'm smart enough to know that the boasting about the length is based on lab testing not human swinging and certainly not with me swinging it which is what really matters. But I hit a few in the shop and and was hooked. The ball felt like it jumped off the face. So I traded in my 360, bought the 10% Tsunami and headed for the range. Not only am I about 20 yards longer with the "WAVE" but my control is much better. I still don't outdrive my playing partner but I am convinced that it is just the difference in golfers (he only outdrives me now by 5-10 yards now). With a little work at the range I think I can make that up. I truly believe that this club gives me the most length and control for my swing. Similar Products Used: Big Bertha, Adams SC, TM360 |

Very long off the tee. At least 10-15 yds longer than my old Cobra 427. Haven't tried it yet off the deck. Very forgiving club. Even on marginal swings where I thought I was in trouble the shots stay on line. I find it fairly easy to work - but the draw is easier for me than the power fade. The ball really shoots off the clubface even on less than square hits. I love this driver and am thinking about trying the fairway woods. I have the stiff shaft with 10 degree loft. |

Tsunami Golf Gear 360cc
Started playing golf about 5 years ago, determined to stick with it till I felt like a golfer. For the first several years, nothing made me feel LESS like a golfer than a) teeing off with anything less than a driver (I know, it's ego) or b) flailing away with a driver without hitting it straight or much farther than my 3wood. Golf teacher had told me to get the original Ping ISI, 8*, stiff, but that wasn't that easy to hit consistently and always felt like a toaster on a stick. Then my clubmaker fitted me with a Snakeeyes Fire Forged 240cc, 11*, stiff driver... loved the feel of it, but it didn't go that much farther than my 3wd (about 240, sometimes 250). Then I did an internet search, read the Rankmark reviews about the Tsunami driver, and had them set up a demo day at my local muni. Wow! Double-forged face is so forgiving and feels and sounds amazing (vs. thin-faced designs). They ended up fitting me with the 360cc, 9*, .860 COR, Graphite Design Stiff, 46". So long as I trust the club and swing smoothly, the ball just takes off. No trouble getting it airborne at all and I'm getting it out there from 250-280 yds. I hit so well with it that it also elicits comments from my buddies. If you don't mind people not ever hearing of this company but can live with a well-balanced, great feeling, long hitting driver, this is it! Customer Service Don't respond much at all to internet queries but were terrific in setting up the demo day, giving me a good price that day, etc. Similar Products Used: Ping ISI, Snakeeyes Fire Forged, Callaway Biggest Big Bertha |

Tsunami 360cc
I've been playing the Taylor Made 360 since it came out a year and a half ago...and always had good results with it. A month ago my father bought the Tsunami 360cc because he was struggling with his game..it helped him somewhat but, there is really no club that is going to help his swing, so he let me take a few swings with it. In a word, it's AWESOME. I decided to keep it and it's the #1 weapon in my bag...not necessarily longer than the Taylor Made, but much much more forgiving. In fact, i was at our local DEMO DAYS when i first tried it. I had just finished hitting the new NIKE, the KingCobra 427, the newest Birtha and Titleist and had great success with a few of those..but when i pulled the Tsunami out of my dad's bag, nothing came close to it. As for my swing, i use a stiff shaft and prefer a right to left ball path with an avg drive of 295. I was finally convinced of the Tsunami when i hit a few drives off the heel and they still took off left and faded right back to middle about 270yds out..it's an amazing club. Tsunami LD400 Driver & 15° fairway wood
I went to the golf shop to try & buy a new driver thinking all along it would probably be the new TaylorMade 5 series driver. (I had made a swing change and my old driver - which has a bit of face closure - was hooking and I was getting tired of trying to compensate for it.) I have been trying out a number of them (the usual "as seen on The Tour" brand-name suspects) off and on for the past month but hadn't been anyplace where I could try the TM 5 series. Suddenly my need for a new driver became urgent because the insert of my old one – a LiquidMetal was starting to pop out (this was the second time-and second club, but now they are no longer in the golf business and I was ready to give it up anyway). The problem was that I really liked the feel of the LiquidMetal club (it was sweet) so when I tried all the other brands they felt “rough” by comparison. However, I did like the TM300 series enough from a feel perspective and figured from what TM was saying about it the 5 series might be better. I went and tried it but I couldn’t really tell much difference between it and the 300 series, but I was happy to see my ball going straight again. I walked away not really feeling convinced and tried several other brands then walked away. A salesman walked up and pointed me toward this GolfGear Tsunami he said it was the best club they had in the store, but they were being made by a man here in southern CA that didn’t have the budget to sponsor pros. He put one in my hands and zowie! The feel was sweet and the ball hammered the backstop like no other I had hit before. I figured I had just hit it pure, so I tried another ball and expecting something less the next time but even with this negative swing thought, the result was the same. I finally got interested in drivers again and I made him round up all the NikePingCallowayTitleistTaylorMadeMizuno’s he had to demo just to see what was up. I’m still not sure, but after over an hour of trying and eliminating and resting and trying again, I walked out the store with two golf clubs I had never heard of - thinking I was either dreaming or crazy because I’ve never really like the “look” of red drivers and I have never been fond of oversized drivers. My only assurance was that I could return them for “something else” within 90 days after I woke up. I immediately took them to the range to see what the ball flight was like and I tried the 3 metal first and hit one ball – it almost went further than my best ever drive - I went back to hitting my irons then tried my driver and hit one ball – it went out of the park - both were straight and true. I was too giddy to dare hit any more balls and besides I had hit more drivers today than I will hit in the next 20+ rounds of golf. I came home and looked up this website (which I haven’t visited in over a year) to see if anyone had ever even heard of these golf clubs and found seven postings. Six are rave reviews and one is a pan. I checked out the company website which mentions that this Tsunami was “. . .ranked at the top over all drivers in the industy for ‘longest distance’” by Rankmark – who ever they are. The salesman at the store mention that this driver was ranked the longest, but I didn’t pay that remark any mind since I’ve heard that applied to just about every driver on the market. I’m going to go to bed now and pinch myself when I wake up just to make sure. If I am really not dreaming, I’m going to find these clubs in my golf bag in the morning and I am going to take them to the golf course and if I hit them as long as I did those two balls at the range today, I’m going to have to get used to a different golf game. If not, I’ve got 90 days to figure out what is causing me to hallucinate. Right now I'm going to rate these clubs a five like the other six postings but I’ll keep you posted in 90 days. Hands down the best driver I've ever hit. Best looking too! Finally, a club head with some style. It's simple really. I used to shank drives short. Now I hits em long. I have all the confidence in the world when I step in the tee box. Customer Service outstanding Similar Products Used: nothing comes close to a Tsunami |

Very, very disappointed with this driver...Bought the 10 degree with the fujikura stiff Pro 60...Played 4 rounds and it just never felt right...Could not feel the head, too light, and the trajectory was very low for a 10 degree...Didn't notice any gain in distance...It sure doesn't look like an expensive driver...You can tell it won't wear well...And don't even think that it is a forgiving driver...You need to hit right on the sweet spot...Sorry Golfgear... Customer Service Good... Similar Products Used: Taylor 320 and 360... |

A Californian friend came up for a vacation and we went to Cape Breton Island. He, "donated," a 9%, 46" Regular-shafted Tsunami. I didn't really start to whack it until I got back home to Ontario and put in some practice on my control. Our club's opening hole is 440yds/par 4...a drive and seven wood. With the Tsunami it was a drive and a 7-Iron. Then, I lent the Tsunami to a duffer friend. Haven't seen it since. I want my WAVE BACK!!!!! Customer Service Can they get my Tsunami back? Okay, I admit it. The Rankmark tests got to me! They said that the Golf Gear Tsunami was the longest driver that they had tested. Amen brother! It is huge. I can now fly it where I used to it roll to. Bye bye to fairway bunkers. You've heard of Tiger proofing a golf course. Now they'll have to Tsunami proof the courses! The club is also very accurate and forgiving. I have a little trouble working it left to right but it can be done. It is definitely the longest and best Driver that I have ever hit and I've had them all. TM 320, Cleveland Launcher, 975D, 975J, Deep Red, etc. My playing partner normally out drives me by 15 yards. Now it's exactly the opposite. Great job Golf Gear! Customer Service Good |
