I have never hit straighter drives until I used this club. If you notice there are no grooves in the sweet spot. This allows the ball not spin as much thus allowing you to hit the ball in the direction the club is moving with minimal spin. Grooves in a club face enhance spin thus if open you slice it more, closed you hook it more. If anything I am going to try and get either the 10.5 or 9 deg. The ball goes very high with the 12 deg but it still has improved my drives imensely. OVERALL - BEST DRIVER I EVERY USED.

I returned this club. The club is just too large, too easy to slice and distance is only average for me

I agree with all the below reviews. I was using a Ping Tisi and this is straighter and longer, I don't understand how. I will add that I loaned mine to a friend of similar skill level and all he could hit were slices but that is not my experience. For me it is a wonderful club; in the past two rounds I have not hit a bad drive. I did not slice my Ping but I did spray it more; I can't work this club but I can more predictably aim it. For me it has no faults.

With a big, forgiving head and a pro-force stiff shaft, just make sure you stay committed to your swing and hit it hard. The ball will jump off the face and go a long way. With the big head, don't try to help it up, just stay smooth and whack it.

This driver is a Cannon from a high tee. The flight is long, high, and very straight. The ads are for real, almost everything on the face goes straight. A ball in the "sweet zone" (it is a huge sweet spot) disappears, with a sound like a gunshot. It attracts a lot of attention on the range from the sound alone. I tried the Cleveland launcher, which I loved, but this club is much more forgiving. The only "drawback" for this club is that it is almost impossible to work the ball off the tee. This may be signifigant to some, but long and straight works best for me. On top of everything else, it's very reasonably priced.

I have routinely had a hard time keeping my driver in play. I have tried a lot of drivers and have kept the Ping Tisi in my bag for the last 1 1/2 years. Couldn't find anything I liked better than that club. I hit the 350 and the 427 from Cobra and I bought the 427. Here is why. Both clubs are very straight sticks. Definitely the straightest I have ever hit. Very confidence inspiring. You don't have to swing hard to get the ball to go a respectable distance or to get it in the air. It gets it the air very quickly on a very high trajectory. I usually fade it with my driver but I hit this club straight or a small fade, but ball movement left or right is minimal. For me, the distance is not amazing I have hit some farther (Titleist 975J for example). This is in large part due to the high trajectory that this club hits it on. I will sacrifice a couple of yards(max a couple of yards) for finding a hell of a lot more fairways a lot easier. I got the 427 because I liked the shaft better(high kick versus mid kick for the 350). The 350 almost ballooned it for me unless I put it way back in my stance. I don't usually hit my driver that high so this highness is due solely to this club. If I switched to a bit stiffer or different kickpoint shaft where I could get a hotter, less spin ball flight this club definitely would hit it longer than anything on earth. All said, I love this club. Best driver i have ever hit. I only might need to tweek it or my swing just a hair. If you try to turn it over with this stick it does go further because of the lower ball flight and more roll. My swing speed is 118 and my tempo is medium. I am a 4 handicap. I hit a straight to slight fade off the tee on a medium trajectory(before this club).

I cannot say enough positive things about this driver. I tested all of the big head drivers and sliced just about every one of them. Then I picked up the King Cobra SS 427 and have crushed the ball 250-280 consistently without a slice. Occaisionally, I will push the ball but that is it. Go out and buy one now, no, go out and buy two now!

If I could give this club six stars, I would. I have owned an embarrassingly large number of drivers--essentially ALL drivers on the market. Yes. But after buying (er, trading for) this club, sort of on a whim, and feeling a little sheepish about its overall hugeness, I took it out to the range, sort of away from people and proceeded to pound balls over the hill at the back of the place--a place I have NEVER EVER hit before. This feat represented at least a 20 yard improvement, if not more vs. my TISI, 975J's, C4, Deep Reds, VFTs, Taylor 300, 320, 360, and everything else. Out of a bucket that I wished would go on forever, I hit maybe three pull hooks, a couple so so slices, and 50 BOMBS!!!! I have never ever ever been so excited about a club before (and again, I have owned them all). I've been a 230-250 yard hitter, with a 95 MPH driver swing, and have somehow held down a 12 handicap despite a career of second shots from the trees on the right (underscoring the "putt and chip for dough" axiom). I was worried the Reg flex UST shaft would be too whippy, as it seemed a bit floppy and torquey in the store, but it was perfect. I was also worried the 10.5 loft would be too high, and it is certainly higher than my 9 degree Taylor/Stiff Prolite or my 8.5 Stiff TISI, but the trajectory is beautiful. I should note that I was not hitting in to a two club wind, so I can't comment on balloonability. The club feels light, which made it easy to get the head through the ball at impact (versus a heavy-feeling club like the 975s). Shots hit all over the clubface soared like angels--flying 250-270. In fact, I pulled out my cell phone, called two of my golf buddies and sang Handel's Hallelujah Chorus on their machines, right there in front of people. I'm serious. I know I probably sound like I work for Cobra, (I don't), but this thing is wonderful. If this doesn't get me into single digits, nothing ever will.

At frist, I didn't know if I liked the club. I was hitting well with the vft and I had to sell it last year. I bought the cobra and at first, I was having trouble hitting it believe it or not. I think because of it's much LARGER head, I was trying to swing too hard. Actually, I was on the brink of selling the Cobra and I actually repurchased the vft. Well, now I had a chance to play both side by side. I finally learned to swing the Cobra and OMG is it LOOOONG! The sound of the Cobra is a stinging ting, but I kinda like it. It really sounds like you hit it hard. the shaft is a proforce which seems to have a lower kp which balloons the ball sometimes. The trajectory could be shallower, but in non-windy conditions, you will crush the ball. The VFT is a nice club, but hands down, for me the cobra is the one! I average about 15yards more with the 427, with a rare 300 yarder every now and again. usually, i'm at around 265 with no real problems. the vft, if I hit it well was at 265. I'm pretty sure I have found my driver...

I have tried MANY different drivers and the 427 is by far the most forgiving, acuurate and long driver. I hit 20 Balls in a row and they were all about the same distance and acurracy. I definatly recommend this driver to ANYONE who wants to improve their game. :)
