Launcher
Very forgiving even if not hit in sweet spot. Very long. Launches ball higher than normal even for a 9.5 deg. Very happy with it, much better than my old Firesole and GBB. Similar Products Used: Firesole, GBB |

9.5 - Stiff Shaft
I must start by saying that I was a confirmed Callaway Man (Hawkeye and VFT''s in the bag at one time or another), but I decided to tyr the Launcher. WOW is this a LOOOOOONG driver! The fence at the range is at 250 yds and about 25 feet high. I hit 4 shots in a row over the fence. I have previously hit a total of 2 shots over the fence in the last 3 years. Each shot with the club was straight high and deep!! Bought it and 2 Fairway woods on the spot. (15* rolled to the fence from a low tee, twice). The club is Longer, Straighter, AND Better Priced than anything out there, a no brainer if ever there was one!!!! Customer Service I have only called for information, they were very helpful. cleveland launcher driver 8.5 stiff
At least 25 yards longer than my Titleist 975d. Very solid "ting", like their excellent fairway woods. Has a great trajectory, long roll, what more could you want? I suspect my average drive will increase from 295 to 320-330. HEY I LIVE IN DENVER YOU WISECRACK!!! Similar Products Used: TITLEIST 975D, TAYLOR MADE 360 |

Launcher 9.5 stock stiff
This is a solid, confidence inspiring driver. I resisted oversized (over 300cc) drivers for whatever reason, to remain a purist (don''''t ask me why) but I gave in partly because I needed more forgiveness off the tee than my 975D would allow. To me the 975D is a good club. I liken it to the forged blade iron of drivers, it gives back what you put into it. Sometimes, however, you can''''t always be perfect with my swing. The Launcher looks very similar to the new 975J with its classic pear-shape lines and a surprisingly light-feeling D2 swingweight. It''''s 330 CC''''s but it does NOT look that big. I like the gold (Fujikura co-designed) shaft and was really surprised how lively and solid it is. I can now work draws with regularity off the tee and can more times than not put it precisely where I was aiming it (what a concept). This shaft/head with it''''s 1* closed face works great for me. My tempo is mid and swing speed around 101mph so the stock stiff is perfect. I don''''t think the flight is too high as others have written but like some other reviewers I am playing with tee heights and have had great results. Tee down a smidge in the wind and get boring flights, not unlike some of the best drives with my 975D. Tee up a bit and smash the living daylights out of it. Have been hitting a ProV1 with great results. (Seaming and not seaming the ball have had good to great results.) Had an all-time best drive today of 281 yds and I didn''''t even think I hit it on the button. Still working on my swing but I have hopes this driver will help me get it right. Oh yeah, the accuracy with this club is also top notch. I''''ve switched my driver many times but I think this one has what it takes to stay in the bag. The only thing I did change was the grip (Cleveland grips suck/ slippery) and installed a Golf Pride Tour Wrap. Nice black leather headcover is also a nice touch. Oh yeah, just ordered the 17* 4 wood to match. Customer Service Not yet. 8.5/9.5 YS7 shaft
Great driver for that price, period. Other than that, nothing really magical about it. Can do the same job (if not better) with TM360 and Titleist. The YS7 stiff goes well with 8.5 to give you the right tracjectory. 9.5 gives a surprisingly high ball flight. Cleveland Launcher
The Launcher is the best driver I have ever hit. I had been searching for the right driver for three years. My handicap was an 18, with no improvement, due to the inability to get off the tee. Since purchasing the driver in November I have improved my handicap by 8. I have had great look with Cleveland products, I currently own the TA-5 irons, 13 deg and 17 deg Quapros and three Tour Action wedges. Cleveland makes great clubs and the Launcher is by far the flagship of their product offering. Similar Products Used: Adams SC, Callaway Big Bertha |

Cleveland Launcher 8.5 stiff
I''ve had my Cleveland Launcher ever since they came out. Before that, I tried every new driver that was on the Market. The Taylors, 300, 320 and 360. The Callaway VFT 8, 9 and 10 degree, the Titleist 975D and 975J. None of these clubs compare to the Launcher in performance or value. I''ve stayed in the wings reading reviews of all the before mentioned clubs and about the Launcher. If you have trouble hitting this club, it''s your swing, not the club. Some have said it has an ugly shaft, Yes the gold stock shaft may be ugly to some but it is by far the best stock shaft I have ever had in any driver. It''s a stiff and it performs like a stiff. Believe me, I have tried just about every shaft out there, none come close to this. And after having my Launcher since before Thanksgiving, I''ve really grown to like the shaft in color, but the beauty of the head makes up for everything else. This is the best looking big headed driver out there. For me, my biggest thing is confidence and looking down at this head at adress exudes nothing but confidence. It''s a beautiful head, a dark grey with a stainless sole plate. The head just doesn''t look overly huge and it''s just comfortable to look at. But putting all that aside is the performance. I have the 8.5 and the trajectory is perfect, tee it a little high and the carry is unvbelievable. Tee it low and it rolls forever. Plus you can work this club left to right or right to left on command. Lay it on the ground and it sets up straight. Just take a Callaway or a Taylor and set them on the ground, you''ll understand what I''m talking about. They all have shut down faces, an instant turn off for me. Below are my personal ratings of the clubs I tried in the past year. 1. Cleveland Launcher 2. Callaway Biggest Bertha. Callaway should stop screwing around and go back to this design. It would be a big money earner 3. Callaway Original Hawkeye 4. Mizuno T-zoid, A definate reshafter 5. Taylor 320, I liked the best out of the Taylors, to low of a profile for me 6. Titleist 975 D. Great feel when you hit it in the center. But you have to hit it in the center all the time. For very low handicapers 7. Taylor 300. Same as the 975 D, you better be a good ball striker 8. Taylor 360. If the VFT''s really didn''t suck as bad as they do, the 360 would be at the bottom of my list. These things are the most over rat Customer Service Haven''t had to deal with them. The club is great Similar Products Used: All |

I took out the stock shaft and replaced with a Graffaloy Pro Lite Elite Stiff shaft and it is like magic. This club is phenominal. I have never hit the ball further, straighter, or more consistent. Customer Service I have had to deal with the Cleveland people on numerous occasions and they are great! Cleveland Launcher 8.5* w/UST 75 stiff
I''ve read many posts hear expousing the vitues of this club and to tell you the truth I did''nt believe it untill a few weeks ago. This is beyond a doubt the best driver I have ever hit! I have the availability to test out a lot of clubs, and this driver is better than anything on the market right now. I originally had the stock Fuji shaft in "x" flex and swapped it out for the 75. It was kike taking a Corvette and strapping a jet engine to it. Long, workable, just a great club! Customer Service None Similar Products Used: EVERYTHING! |
