I've used this site to decide on my new set of clubs after coming back into the game.

Of all the clubs I bought were highly rated on here, but the Launcher Driver is by far the best.

Sweet striking, long and straight.

This is a great club, and I believe still out preforms 90% of new drivers.

In one word--gorgeous! Both in appearance and performance this club tops all others I have tested. If you don't believe me just pick one up, as soon as it's in your hands you'll notice the perfect look and feel of the club. It just begs to be hit and it goes far and straight for me. It's long off the tee (like many new model drivers) but the one thing that jumped out at me was the forgiveness. Hey a bad swing will still get you into big mess, but on a slight miss-hit this club will do everything it can to keep you long and in the fairway. Do yourself a favor and go test one of these new beauties! If you thought the Quadpro was the best Cleveland could do, you were WAY off! By the way, did I mention it's priced $100 cheaper than it's competition?

If you like it long and in the fairway this is your club! Unbelievable length. I just can't believe how far I can hit this club. My slice is GONE. However, I have hooked a few when I grip and swing too hard, but thats me not this amazing driver. This game is much easier when your hitting wedges to the green. $220 on ebay, can't beat it.

Titliest 975D

Just finished my first round using this club. I had hit a few balls at the range, but it is a little hard to compare those results to using your regular golf balls on a course. I played the same place that I have played many times before, but the course played very differently this time. Every second shot was about 40 yards closer leaving short 9I / PW shots into the green instead of 6I / 7I. I was even able to drive a couple to just off the front edge of the green and was able to putt the second shot. I hit 10 fairways out of 14 and just missed by a few feet on 2 others. For me, this is very impressive. Actually shot an 82 on my first outing with this club (compared to my usual 88 - 90). As long as I don't swing too hard, the club is long and straight. The only 2 fairways I missed were long par 5's where I was really trying to muscle it out there. I tried several other clubs before deciding on this one. The shape of the head makes it look smaller at address, but the size and design still give great forgiveness. For my game, this is the best driver I found at any price.

I recently bought this driver because like most golf nuts i am never satisfied with what i got. there is always something out there better. I had been playing the stiletto driver ( bad idea), and i thought i needed a change because i was sick out hitting 3 wood all day. anyway, i saw this driver on ebay with the aldila nv shaft in it (i am a believer that with research and shaft selection, the right shaft would do more that a clubhead). I bought it after reading the reviews on it. i tried it out on the range and my first thought was worm burner. all day. but the problem was that the tee was too low and i wasnt hitting up. once that problem was fixed BANG. long and straight. very workable too. i suck at golf but messing around on the range i could make this baby do whatever i wanted about 75% of the time. the first time on the course i had some problems, but i t was due to my inconsistent swing not the club. the last few hole after i was in a groove, 300 yrd drives were normal. my swing speed is about 108-110. i know that more loft is good but where i play it can get windy. i love the trajectory of this thing. it is a rope that just keeps on going up. not ballooning at all. ive hit the callaways and the rest this one is right up there with them, plus you can find a 330 cheap on line. i would try the 400 but am in college which equates to poor. and i wouldnt touch the 460 because i dont believe having a tank on the end of a stick of graphite is very attractive. i like the classic shape but deep face of the 330. the best driver ihve ever hit.

Spring '04 begins my 3rd year of playing golf, consistantly. I've been knocking on the door of 100 at the end of year 2, and thought it time to replace my starter set of wilson clubs & 5/3/1 woods, and even my 'upgraded' '01/02 Callaway VFT. Irons- went with Taylor Made RAC OS in stiff, recommend you try them if you're in the market for consistant irons that are easy to hit; the "rescue 3 19*" from TM is also a hit--- so it was a natural that I try the TM 580 driver. I ended up with the Launcher, here's why. And why did I think it wouldn't be the 460? "big head drivers slow down your swing" - nope, at the store, I measured 105 mph-clubhead with either the TM 540, 580, 580XD, Cleveland Launcher 400 or 460. And my 'peak' of 110mph was hit at least twice w/ each club- I'm not looking to work the ball like a yo-yo, so the larger hitting surface of the 460 with no difference in my speed makes it a natural for 'sheer driving abiltiy vis-a-vis ease of hitting'. [note I can still purposefully draw by standing w/ my right foot back an inch from it's normal placement- i'm right handed- and push when placing my left foot forward by 1/2 inch] My head speed of 105+, with a ball speed of 150mph with the 540 and 160mph with the Launchers gave me about 260 in the air with the TM and 280 - 290 yds in the air with the Launchers (with 80%+ efficiency) - *** but with all 3 TM products, I couldn't get past 8 or 9 degrees of launch angle, leaving me at 260+ in the air (I was using a 9.5 deg face-loft in each of the TMs) I didn't want to go too much higher than that for spin reasons and it's impact on distance/roll (and as my ball striking has improved, the 'need' for loft to generate spin in a veritcal plane to negate side-spin [aka: slice] is gone) - Mike, the sales guy, let me know that the "stiff tipped" TM products had a 'higher' bend point, ie: they flexed in the middle, so generated less height with the same given club-loft. This in when he brought out the Luancher - describing their Fujikura shafts as having a lower flex point, which with the same 9 degree club loft, would produce a more productive launch angle (ie: 12-13%) and he was right. The sensors read the ball spin and loft angle and i was pushing 290+ in the air. Although there are lots of aftermarket shafts, the idea of $399 + shaft on the TM or $299 - 5% on the launcher made it easy. Oh, and the 580 (non XD) Had a much smaller sweet spot than the Launcher and XD580. The club does NOT feel 'big headed' or whippy. Went to range and hit: 25% in sweet spot (all 300 yard drives with roll) 50% mis hits (around face permiter) but all went straight over 225 yards (the last flag at the range) and pushed/hooked 25% b/c of my developing swing. So if i get 75% of my drive dead straigt at 230 - 300 yds... it's money well spent.

Callaway VFT, old tech, can't hang. TM 580 XD - similar performance on face, but shaft/head match didn't work for me. TM 580 non-XD - too small a sweet spot. TM540 - too small a sweet spot, 'workability' is lost on me, i ended up registering more 'side spin' on the computers at the store w/ this one.

The greatest club ever made it has a head like a bucket and it is as sweet as a nut. if your looking for a bi headed driver get this one

After buying a cleveland fairway wood and being reasonably happy with the results, I was keen to demo the Cleveland titanium launcher which many of my buddies were raving about. Firstly to flight: I really like the flight of the ball off the clubhead. Either, into the wind or with a tail wind I found the cleveland very easy to hit low or high. Surprisingly, I also found the club easier to hit with a draw, rather than a fade. This might be because the stock S shaft was a little soft - not sure. So far so good - I was quite taken with the club. I then hit the same number of balls with a Taylor R580 and R860. In both cases, the Cleveland was about 20 -25 yards behind the Taylor mades. Since I was getting about the same accuracy with the Taylors compared with the Cleveland, I'll stick with the Taylor made which was longer and allowed me to work the ball a little easier both ways. This By far the best driver ever made. I am sure better one will eventually be developed. As long as your swing is decent you can hit this driver. Miss hits are fairly straight. Very hard to miss with such a big hitting area. If you have fast swing i would recomand you upgrade to the blue shaft. The Fujikura shaft it self is pretty good but i feel it is still whippy.
