Excellent club. I got it a few years ago right about the time the 460's became popular. I love the feel when I hit the sweet spot, and the workability is great. I am about a 7.5 handicap and find that this is a very consitant club that gives me great confidence off the tee. I love the sound the clubface makes on a well struck drive. This club is not as forgiving as the 460 model, but I feel it makes up for this fault in its workability. I've had some problems with the paint chipping off the top of the clubhead. I would recomend this for high to mid-low handicappers. A low handicap person would probably find this driver lacking in distance. I have the 10.5 and will probably be replacing it soon because I hit it slightly to high, which causes issues in a Kansas breeze. Customer Service Wouldn't know, never had any issues. Cleveland Launcher Titanium 400 w/ Graphite Design YS-6
Recently purchased driver off Ebay used in very good condition rather inexpensively. This club sets up very squarely and cleanly to the ball. The club is 400cc but does not appear terribly oversized. The club looks and sets up in a classic fashion. It does not look gimicky by any means. That said, the club produces a penetrating mid-height ball flight that naturally wants to stay straight, or draw slightly. The club sounds nice when struck, producing a loud, but not overly loud, metallic "thwunk." The Graphite Design YS-6 stiff shaft is a good match for the head, helping keep the ball in play on most shots while still producing plenty of distance. The clubhead is a really nice size, a good width and a very confident building depth. The clubs is very forgiving and can be hit just about all over the face with nice results. I have probably picked up a few yards distance wise with this driver, but more importantly, this driver helps me find more fairways. Overall, this is probably the best driver I have owned, very solid and forgiving with good distance and accuracy. Customer Service Purchased used so I did not use. Similar Products Used: Several drivers, but this is probably the most solid driver I have played. |

The Cleveland Launcher with a Grafalloy Blue shaft what a simple yet great combo. What I'm struck with is just how simple it looks and how surprised I am about the distance it rockets the ball while keeping it in play. I'll nevery hit every fairway... but its getting closer than i ever thought. When comparing it to the composite and funky head designs on the market now the Launcher almost looks like a throwback... except this throwback is out driving the others. It may be that the shaft really works with this head for my swing... Without exageration i am driver iron into every par 5 I've played since the purchase. I think they should make these again... bigger isn't better and they are a steal on ebay!!! Customer Service none needed Similar Products Used: ft5

Cleveland Launcher 400 9.5 with Prolaunch Blue stiff
I was looking for a driver to help me keep the ball in play more often, and found this on trade me(New Zealand's' eBay)for NZD$120( thats 80 or 90 US). Having demoed a launcher when they were newish and liked it. I bought this. And man am I pleased I did, it is the most forgiving and consistent driver I have hit. Because of this it gives me the confidence to perform the first part of the old saying fairways and greens. So if your looking for a straight and consistent, decent distance driver I highly recommend this for you. Make sure you get the right shaft for your swing though.

I bought this club cause i like to try things out and i found it cheap enough on-line. So first impressions: Nice sized head, and felt light. Played a 9 holes with it and what a difference compaired to my ERC Fusion. The ball went farther consistantly. You could tell when it was hit off center but still went fairly far. Forgiveness...i'm not too sure i'm pretty consistant and i tend to push and pull the ball more than hook or slice. Overall a great club that is still available and cheap. Customer Service Haven't had to deal with them. Similar Products Used: Ping TiSi, Nike 350cc, Taylormade R540XD, Callaway ERC Fusion |

The first friver to give me consistency - a R-flex 10.5 The ball tends to go high and I fade against the wind. But it is reliable. Comparing this to my other driver - Titleist 985K Hcr 9.5 deg stiff Proforce 55 stiff shaft is bizarre. I never know where I am going to end up with this one -brilliant or disatrous. The complete opposite to the Launcher.

Well I can't tell you enough how awesume the Cleveland Launcher 400 is. Since I got it I have hit longer and straighter to 100% consistency. I have owned a Taylormade R7 and R5 but nothing compares to the Launcher. Who needs adjustable weights? If you're hooking or slicing it's your swing or you that is the problem not the driver. |
