Cleveland Launcher 400 Drivers

Cleveland Launcher 400 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

New technology has made it possible for golf clubs to be more effective and powerful than ever before. The Launcher 400 has the technology of the original Launcher 330 with the added benefits that come from a larger clubhead. This great feeling driver produces a higher launch angle with lower backspin for more carry and increased roll, and also offers an increased moment of inertia which reduces the amount of lost distance on off-center hits. With these new technological advances come restrictions to keep the game fair and fun for golfers of all levels. The rules of golf dictate that a driver face can only offer a certain amount of spring-like effect known as the Coefficient of Restitution or C.O.R. The USGA has officially ruled that the maximum amount of C.O.R. allowed in a golf club is .830. The New Launcher 400 precisely meets this legal limit allowing you to post all of your scores. So, you'll be able to put this club into play in any tournament at any golf course and feel confident that you're getting the distance, the great feel and accuracy of the most technologically advanced club in the game.

I only wish I'd bought one of these sooner, when I played more often. Factory stock shaft(Rflex) is more than enough for me.I can crank it back and just lay into it as hard as I want and Bang, off it goes. Good looking club too.

I recently bought the Cleveland Launcher 400 from a friend of mine at work, absolutely love it. I was hitting a Ping T-ISI and was unimpressed with its forgiveness. Forgiveness, however, is what stands out to me with this Cleveland.

Great club!

I have been searching for a inexpensive driver for a while and have read many reviews for drivers. I tried out the launcher and have been nothing but pleased. I normally hit a wicked slice off the tee but the launcher is pretty forgiving. When I hit the ball correctly, the ball easily is going 300 yards (normally drive about 270 when I hit the ball correctly). Best investment I have made this year for my golf game.

I love this club. When I was first starting out i had a wicked slice. so I tried the H7 from hippo because it was cheap. In order for me to hit this cluyb straight I had to change my swing and my stance. Also this club would barely go 250 yards. I saw the 400 launcher sitting in a used bin for $50. When I tried it out on the range I was hitting everything in or pretty close to the sweet spot. Now my drive averages 250+ and everything is going straight down the middle. I would recommend this club to mid to high handicappers. It is straight and conisistent, but is lacking a little in distance.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Launcher 400 9.5 Driver

Wow. Finally. I have been searching recently for a driver after years of blasting 3 irons and or an occasional 3 wood off the tee as I have never felt comfortable with the driver. I have recently been using a Callaway Hawkeye (could hit a good ball, but very inconsistent), a Callaway x 460 (could not hit anything but a fade..er..slice) dissapointed. Have also tried a couple other of the 460 clubs on the market - Cobra, etc.
I found the Launcher with the gold reg shaft in 9.5 for 20 bucks in the bargain bin. I took a shot at it and hit a good number of balls at the range with fantastic results. I was carrying the ball 250+ but more importantly it would either go straight or have a soft fade. I was also able to power fade and draw/hook the ball when I tried to. Ultimately, it was a combination of finding the right shaft (reg flex gold launcher) and club. I highly recommend trying one out. Value rating is off the scale.

This club's got distance and the ball jumps off the face. This driver gave me an extra 20 to 30 yards, but it sacrifices accuracy. Sprayed shots right and had difficulty closing the face.

Eventually gave up this driver and went back to the old one.

Sweet, sweet, sweet. I've used a variety of drivers, but never one that is as long and as straight. I paid 39.00 from Callaway preowned golf and it's the best 39.00 I've ever spent. First time out and I saw places off the tee I've never seen before. Easily cut 8 strokes off my game. I can now reach greens in regulation and man does that make a difference. You can shape drives or just hit em dead straight. I was thinking about trying one of the new square drivers but not anymore. Get one. Mine is a regular flex, 10.5 degree loft. Looks good to the eye, but doesn't look outrageously big.

I have a few different 460 drivers in the rotation (TM R5 Dual N, Launcher 460, Ping G5) -- none were making me happy for distance or accuracy. Started using my son's Launcher 400 and hitting almost every fairway, with better distance. This is a great driver from the pre-460 era. Easy to put a good swing on this club.

I'll probably go back to the G5 and try to make it work with some range time, but I'll have the Launcher 400 to fall back on.
