Callaway X460 Drivers

Callaway X460 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

This all-titanium, 460cc driver is designed for longer and straighter tee shots. At 460cc, the new drivers combine a CT/VFT Face, Consistent Alignment Sole and patented Callaway Golf technologies. That combination of technology makes the X460 the longest all-titanium drivers Callaway Golf has ever made.

Model Reviewed: x460 Tour 10.5 Fuji Tour Platform Reg

Just purchased this beast and hit it at the range yesterday. Call me Ranger Rick, but I bombed it 250+ every drive. Either dead straight or w/ a slight fade. And that was with crappy Pinnacle range balls. I can't wait to see it with the HX Tour. Awesome trajectory and carry. I will be playing Friday in a tournament with it. Can't wait. This club is a monster, you don't even have to swing hard, the ball just rockets off the face. It sounds different than what you're accustomed to but who cares when the ball flies literraly out of sight! Make sure you get the right shaft. The stock Fujikura TP Reg flex works for me. Another awesome callaway club.

I love this damn driver. At first I always shund away from the big head drivers till I hit this puppy. My average drive was about 240 carry but now i'ts like 260+ easy. You may need ear plugs when you hit it but god, does it make you look good off the tee. I would highly recommend this driver to anyone looking for one. Besides my irons it's got to be the best Callaway product i've ever bought.

I really liked this club and think that for most players this actually is the best driver out there. The sound, I think, is actually beauitful, it's a straight dull ball flight, and a smooth consistent swing will yield nice far drives.

The biggest problem with this club however is that no matter what shaft you get with it, it is not designed to be loaded up and crushed. A smooth swing with this club will yield a farther drive than my r5, but if I want to load it up and crush it, i'm a good 10-15 yards shorter than my r5 and 20 yards shorter then an r7 or the FT3. All in all its a great stick if you don't have a 100 mph+ swing on you driver. If you are swinging less than that though, I would go so far as to say that this is the best driver on the market for swingers under 100 mph.

Customer Service

Wouldn't know, but callaway has always had a great reputation.

well, after taking this club to the range with basically all the other leading drivers (titleist, ping, taylormade etc) I chose the x460 because it is very long and i can hit it straight every single time
today i took it to the course for the first time and i went from shooting a 90 last time i was there to shooting a 79!!
wow...i hit all but 2 fairways and got about 260+ out of it
anybody on the search for a driver, DEFINETLY consider this driver
the only thing that i don't like about it is that (like golf digest says) "it sounds like a brass band"
but it makes up for it when you're on the fairway
(oh, and it was tied for the cheapest driver of the ones i tried :) )

this club is a beast!
the ball jumps off the clob face and is very straight. I had to use a 3-wood off of the tee because I couldn't find any fairways with my driver, then i took this out to the driving range with a nike sasquatch, titlesit 905r, and taylormade r7 quad
and this club had the best distance and accuracy out of all of them. it also had the best sound and feel

I'd highly recommend for anyone to try this driver out if you're on the market for one

I'm writing a review for the Callaway x460 tour driver. I'm not normally the type to review a product but this club is so awesome that I can't resist. I shoot in the mid 80's. I upgraded from a Callaway Great Big Bertha II 380cc driver 10 degree loft with regular flex GBB system 60 shaft, with which I was extremely comfortable. At the local driving range, I could get distances of 250+ carry only on perfect hits. Upgraded to the x460 tour (to retain square face angle), 10.5 degree with Fujikura 26.3 Tour Platform regular flex shaft. Tried it for the first time today and hit 9 out of 10 drives 250+ carry (a line of trees and a wall mark the 250 barrier). Only shots that did not go that far and STRAIGHT were mis-hits when I tried to swing too hard. Absolutely amazing. Try it out.

I just got this super driver yesterday, and i must say, this is the driver i have been looking for. I is damn straight and the ball is just blasted away. You can hit it very slow and it's still very long.

Nice flat, boring flight, sets up square. Sounds like crap but plays so good you won't mind after a few good drives. I usually struggle to keep the ball from spinning too much and w/ the NV this driver put me near optimum on the launch monitor. Swing speed 108, 12 deg launch and 3200 RPM's. Wants to go straight and fades easier than draws but neither is too difficult. Much better in every category (besides sound) than my MP-001 (400cc) 9 degree with Grafalloy Blue S. If they could just get it to sounds better then it would be as good as it gets.

I got the 10.5 Tour Edition with the Fujikura Tour Platform (gray) stiff shaft. Bought is after trying it out at North Columbus Driving Range. Pete, the owner is a class act. Great guy. Licensed Callaway dealer. This is BY FAR, the BEST driver I have EVER used. Drives are booming down the fairway farther and straighter more consistently than ever. This club changed my game significantly.
