callaway steelhead 3 driver 12'
This club has given me confidence off the tee. Selected a 12' loft to give more forgiveness and it works can now draw teh ball instead of an horrendous slice I had before.Very forgiving good feel off the clubface and I appear to hit more fairtways which help. Also purchased a 5 wood which is just as good Customer Service excellent AGD had to order a 12'Driver here within 2 days Similar Products Used: Mizuno Titanium driver and fairway woods |

Steelhead 3 #3 wood
The first time I took this wood to the range I was hitting it like its been in my bag for the 2 years I've been playing. It has great distance and even miss hits were not has bad has I would have thought. I would recommend this wood. |

Steelhead III
After play this club for 2 months, I have only one real complaint and warning: Do not buy it with the regular flex shaft unless you're either 1. a child, 2. a woman, or 3. a 90 yr. old man. I hit this club in the simulator and the salesman failed to even discuss my swing or shafts with me. I seemed to be hitting it ok and new callaway was a good brand, so bought it. However, on the course, I would hook the ball about 3 out of 5 times off the tee. Mind you, the two I didn't hook, I hit beautifully and kissed the driver. But I couldn't get rid of the hook, something I never hit before after two months--until the local pro watched me hit and said "you generate way too much club speed for that soft shaft you're using. You been having a problem with control, hooking it a lot?" I almost kissed him. I then discovered Callway will list their shafts up one level from what they actually are. Regular means soft, stiff means regular. I have no doubt that this is a quality driver, but the regular flex shaft sucks. I sold it and bought a Ping SiTl tec. Callaway Steelhead III Driver
This driver is great, slightly bigger than previous steel drivers, offers reasonable forgivness with the feel of steel. The 44 inch lenght is a lot easier to control than longer titanium models. Distance is very good and control is excellent. Customer Service No reason to contact them. Similar Products Used: Callaway and Taylor Made Titanium models |

Callaway Steelhead III Driver
I received this club as a Father's Day gift and have been in love ever since. I'm fairly new to golf, usually shooting 105-110 range but have already seen strokes drop. I always had trouble controlling my drive and usually used the 3 iron off the tee on all par 4s & 5s. When I used to use my old Mizuno or Dunlap driver sometimes I'd connect but a lot of times I was hitting my 2nd shot near the ladies tees. So far I have yet to disconnect with the Big Bertha SH III. I've hit many excellent drives, outdriving friends with more expensive clubs who've been playing for years. This is an awsome, very forgiving, easy-to-control driver! Steelhead lll 10 degree
I recently purchased this club after giving up on my Orlimar 9 degree tri-metal (too many liabilty claims)I seemed to have cured my slice overnight, and finally know what its like to hit an iron from a fairway ... Customer Service Excellent...Callaway actually replaced my driver when I damaged it at a local driving range... they took pity on an idiot that hit his own basket with a brand new club...Thanks Callaway! |

Steelhead III
I use to shoot in the 90's and had a bad slice with 5 out of 10 shots ending up in the woods, making a terrible second shot that was tough to recover. I recently went to a Callaway demo day and trialled all the gear with the intention of purchasing a set of irons; I did this with a new set of the X-14's. They then told me to try out the Steelhead III driver. I bought it there and then; the sound was irresistible and after hitting 100 balls with a uniflex steel shaft not one went off the range and the distance was very pleasing. I was hitting the ball that well that I had to get my current driver to see if it was my swing, first shot was a severe slice (Cobra titanium with graphite shaft). The fairway wood using a steelhead III 4 strong was the same as the driver, dead straight. After taking my new set to the course I have been in the 80’s every time with the odd 70+ coming more regular. I no longer slice and I am able to work the ball in any direction that I need. I have been able to drop my handicap 15 shots in 3 months. These clubs are defiantly worth a try Customer Service Through local club, but no problems yet Similar Products Used: Taylor Made Bubble, Cobra & Wilson |

Steelhead III 10 deg firm graphite
Great club! Excessively forgiving. I originally had a 10 deg War Bird and did well, then talked myself into a Titleist 975D and struggled with that (my fault, I'm sure), so I came back to a Callaway. I like the smaller head (275cc), and I can work the ball better either way, without the severe slices and duck hooks I was getting from the 'D. The ball sails when you hit the sweet spot (and you can hear when you do), but it doesn't penalize you for the offhits as much as other clubs. I have the original Steelhead 3,5,7 and am trying out the III 3 wood. Save money and buy on Ebay. Customer Service Don't know - can't say. Steel Head III 12 deg Driver
I am a fan of the Steel Head series from Callaway and had been using the Steel Head Plus driver and 3 wood until recently. Once the SH III came out I went ahead and upgraded the set. I bought myself a 12 deg driver and the 5 wood both with uniflex steel shafts. I must say that these clubs are better than the older SH Plus woods. I am getting slightly more distance from my driver and a better trajectory than the SH plus that I owned. The 5 wood is simply amazing. The ball flight is excellent and the ball stops fairly quickly after the first bounce onto the fairway or green. I also felt that I do not have to smash the driver to get the desired results. A nice smooth swing gets me about 230-250 easily and 8 out of 10 shots are dead straight. I have hit the club almost 300 yards with roll but not consistently. I can hit the 5 wood to about 200-210 yards quite easily. I am not a long hitter by any means but these clubs help me get the desired results. Try them out to see for yourself. Customer Service Very good. Similar Products Used: Callaway Steel Head Plus Driver and 3 wood. |
