Forget the new Hawkeye model, the original is the best out there. This driver is LONG and forgiving. The best feel and sound when compared to all the others by heads and shoulders. I still manage to hit it 240 yards when it comes off the toe and twists in my hands!! In the fairway!! Love it, Love it, Love it.

This club is awesome. I've had it for about 4 months now and I love it. Mainly because it is so powerful. This is the lightest club out there which ups my swing speed a little for more distance. Also, the draw bias is very consistent and keeps me in the fairway. I am not having any problems like the other people who have reviewed this club, like hooking the ball. As long as your swing is smooth it should be fine. The only complaint I have is that the trajectory is a little too high. I'm considering a UST shaft.

I have been hitting this club for almost 2 years. I have hit all the other drivers (for free) and the only one that even comes close is the new Liquidmetal and maybe the Kasco Pro tour model.
Whoever says this is a hookers club has problems - it actually produces a slight fade more often than not.
Slow acceleration is the key to this club - do not overswing it. I hit the ball 275-300 off the tee and the new Liquidmetal I hit even further. Try it out also - Just about any Callaway metal is good - does any other club give the distinct "tink" as these do???

This club causes snap hooks. I like my Biggest Big Bertha and titleist 975D much better. Very inconsistant shot patterns.

Model Reviewed: hawkeye 12 deg driver

I switched early this year from a Callaway Warbird to the Hawkeye. I went with a high loft driver to help correct my weak slice, and probably could've gone with a 10 deg. The improvement in my game was immediate. I went from hitting a weak slice/slight fade, to a dead straight or slight fade. Dont get me wrong, a bad swing will still produce a bad shot, as with any club, but the Hawkeye is extremely forgiving.
The large head is unbelieveably light as is the new hawkeye shaft. this translates into increased clubhead speed, which helps get through the ball better, and will also get you increased distance.
Before dropping the $400 for this club, I admit I took out the driver for fun, to smash the ball. I had no real confidence in being able to hit a ball 250 yds in the fairway. now I swing away, and often find myself in the middle of the short grass at 275 yds!

If you can get past the price, its worth every $100 bill.

By far the best driver I've ever swung! I went from having a large fade to either farily straight or even a slight draw. The distance at times is incredible! COnsistently hitting 260-280, occasionally 300+! Switiching from a True Temper EI-70 S-Flex graphite shaft, to a True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 steel shaft for added control and feel.

I get great distance from this club. However, the price was a little steep. If money is not an option, i highly recommend this club. Otherwise, go with another one.

You people that call this a hook club are full of it. Work on your swing and don't blame the club. Remember people most golfers are hacks and every time something goes wrong they blame the club. I am a 5 handicap and I have had a draw since the first day I picked up a club. I bought the regular series Hawkeye and it has not made my draw worse. I hit it longer and straighter then any club I have ever hit. This club is awesome. I also have the x-14 irons and they are just as good and no hook either.

Stock shaft (r) is very poor (whippy, no consistency at all, no control of clubhead). Replace with UST Pro Force 65 (r) and get a winning combination = superior control, longer, better feel, much improved trajectory (no more balloons into the wind), shots that consistently go where you aim and still the Callaway trademark forgiveness.
