Fore!!! You won''t have to yell that word out too much with this club. Upon reading reviews of this club, I still had mixed feelings about buying it. I figured out why I was hesitant to purchase the Hawkeye. I never played a round with anyone that had a sweet enough swing to properly wield this club. I bought this club brand new on eBay for an incredible price, arond $130 w/ shipping. It came with the Grafalloy ProLite Elite shaft (I swing regular flex) which worked well with the Hawkeye club head. The supposed draw bias screw certainly harnessed for those errant slices. Since changing the shaft to BiMatrx this club has been wonderful. The clubhead plus BiMatrx plus a swing that''s on plane produces a ball that favors the left (for you right handers) and a confidence boosting sound that let''s you know immediately that you''ve hit the sweet spot. I will agree with some of the other posts indicating that it can be chore at times working the ball to the right. However, even that slight knock shouldn''t deter anyone who''s on a mission to improve their swing and game from playing this club. Lastly, remember, so far Callaway has been the marketing juggernaut of golf so don''t think this club is a magic wand and will transform your game overnight. If you put the work in this club will go long and help you stay in the short grass. Happy swingin...

this is a knockoff driver that I thought I would try because of the price it has a 330cc ti head which I assembled with a penley tour light shaft r flex and a sofftie grip.Wow was I surprised I''''''''m hitting the ball straighter and as far as any driver I have owned and I''''''''ve had drivers that cost 5 times as much I wouldn''''''''t trade for anything right now I guess I stumbled onto something that fits just right I would recommend this driver to anyone and the price is unbeatable.

Very unhappy with this club. The distance is definetly there but the consistency is horrible. The ball balloons off the face, I hit this club higher then my 9 & 10 degree drivers. And the shaft is a piece of crap. This club may be good for slower swingers. Callaway shafts are horrible. The Firm flex is not even as stiff as the Titleist Select Regular shaft. The Stiff flex is really a Regular flex and the Strong is only Firm. If you get this club, the first thing you should do is replace the shaft. This should put the ball on a more consistent path. Callaway shafts in my experience, are flimsy and inconsistent. I''ve hit tons of clubs and the shaft is the most important part of any club. I switched to a King Cobra Ti ($150.00), with a X-Strong shaft and now hit every drive straight as an arrow with a low trajectory that ends up about 300 yards from the tee box. It''s the best, most consistant club in my bag.

I have played with Callaway woods for about three years and was looking for added distance and a lower ball flight. I purchased a 7.5 degree Proseries with the 3.2 shaft. First off, the club is way too light (swingweight d 0). The distance is definetly there but the consistency is horrible. The ball balloons off the face, I hit this club higher then my 9 & 10 degree drivers. And the shaft is a piece of crap. Yesterday I took the club to get reshafted and the owner of the shop said he has changed dozens of these shafts recently. I knew going in the Callaway shafts are crap but I thought the Hawkeye shaft was supposed to be an improvement. I pick it up on Friday with a Bi Matrix in there and a D 3 swingweight. I''ll let you know if it is an improvement. If you generate alot of clubhead speed my recommendation would be to get it reshafted immediately.

Customer Service

I have dealt with Callaway in the past because I dented the face of two Steelhead Drivers and they were very helpful and quick.

Goodness what a club! It took oh, 60 balls, but I am in my niche and dialed in with this club like you wouldn''''t believe. Even with the stock shaft, I can hit it very straight, VERY LONG, VERY consistent, without overpowering the ball, EXCELLENT FEEL, I would compare the feel to just a touch harder than the Titleist 975D, and much more pleasant to use. The 6 degree''''s not too hard to hit, provided you transfer enough weight, and the club has a GREAT RINGING/CRACK sound to it, and I would recommend it to anyone

Customer Service

INCREDIBLE, this is also where Callaway just SHINES. I told them I didn''''t have a headcover, so they ship me a VFT headcover in 2 DAYS!! ACROSS COUNTRY all the way from Carlsbad, CA! AND IT WAS FREE

Best combo of distance, forgiveness, and accuracy I have used so far. Longer than Orlimar but not quite as accurate (close though). The best part of this club is the feel. Very light but I still can sense the clubhead throughout the swing. The stock shaft is just fine for me as I''m around 95mph. Anyone who complains about Callaway shafts is probably a stronger hitter or has a really fast tempo. I have also tried this club with a Graffoloy 3.5 and the only time I got good results is when I really swung as hard as I could which makes sense. But the clubhead is a gem either way.

8.5 Driver with 3.1 Pro Series Shaft. Best driver I have ever hit. I am typically in the short grass and 25 to 50 yards further down the fairway than I have ever been. Give this driver a try.

Customer Service

I have always had excellent customer service from Callaway.

I picked this up for a great deal on eBay. The original owner had a steel shaft installed in it with a M-10 type flex. I had been fighting with many different drivers (fade that sometimes turns to a slice), having gone through 5 or 6 since selling my Steelhead Plus. Well, I should have come back to Callaway a long time ago! This club is very easy to control and distance is great. The steel shaft feels really good on this club, it is cut 1/4 inch shorter than standard which doesn''t take away much on distance but feels like it adds a lot to accuracy. The driver is the only club I have trouble controlling, but now with the tungsten screw which helps square the club face at impact for faders of the ball my troubles seem to be behind me (I hope)! The sound coming off the club face is a definite ping sound but it isn''t tinny. I really can''t tell a difference in this club from the new clubs being put out today, except I can hit this one straight and it is becoming affordable to all!

Customer Service

Very friendly and helpful, ranks with Taylor Made, Cleveland and Wilson. Titleist is the only golf company I have come across that I had a poor experience with.

Love/Hate relationship with this club. It''s 50/50 that the shot is usable after I hit. When I make perfect contact the ball goes a long ways! I avg about 275 when I make good contact. I''ve even hit drives as far as 315 yds down the middle! However, turn the wrist just ever so slightly to the left and "kaboom!" I watch the ball go out 100 yds and then take a left turn for another 100 yds. O.B. Several folks have suggested changing the shaft. I may try this since it would be less expensive than a new driver. but, I''m having my doubts about Callaway. $400 but you have to change the shaft? Anyways...
